This was by far, my favorite video on your channel. At 54 years old, I grew up on Pong, then 2600, then Intellivision, 5200, 78000, and every console thereafter.
You are a great host, and was so nice to see all the Brazilian community come together to share a passion of retro-gaming.
Their graciousness towards you must have been a bit emotional...knowing who you are and giving gifts. Soooo nice.

16:30 Sexta Feira 13 ( Friday the 13th) is how we used to call the game Halloween in Brazil. Halloween (the festivity) was actually not a thing in Brazil back then whereas Friday the 13th (the movie) was huge, and therefore more relatable for us. What's more, the character in the game really resembles Jason, so there you have it.
I bought that Street Fighter decoration at 4:55, it will fit nice in my office. Glad you liked the event, it was awesome

My buddies dad who grew up in Brazil has brought back some genesis games recently. He travels to Brazil 3 months out of the years to run his remodeling company. His dad loves the genesis so much for the soccer games that he named one of his sons Genesis.
Everything was amazing this convention looked more like a store. It must have been really hard to get that level of organization. WOW! So many things I would have bought but trick would be sending all to NY. Thanks for sharing your adventures at the convention John!👉🏼🙂👈

This friday the 13th atari game actually is the Halloween game, I have this cartridge here in brazil and only recently that I learn that, I really don't know why they change the name here haha, probably because friday the 13th movie was more popular here

Awesome video, John. Met your channel over luis's video, now i'm subscribed and loving the content. I'm not into retro gaming myself (despite being an oldschool gamer) i collect only ps4 and ps5, some nintendo switch stuff as well, but i enjoy watching retro gaming content. Very nice that your experience in Brazil was amusing, hope you come back again in the years to follow.
About the PS1 Greatest Hits, since the first Playstation was never officially released in Brazil, all we had here were imported consoles and cheap pirate copies of games. Back in the day, I never saw an official Playstation CD (other than the demo disc that came along with the console). One of the reasons for the PS (and the PS2 as well) becoming so popular in Brazil was due to this fact. You could have a lot of games on the cheap.
