@@paulhamler8315 You are definitely offering something worth while.......You have inspired me to pickup a project I've been working on for 2 years. Keep this in mind too....theres a lot of us that have perfected a high level skill set and really really appreciate seeing other methods and applications. You are invoking creativity and problem solving. For example, the tapered rtv mold frame may save me hours of wax injecting and better and more accurate waxes.....priceless. Thank you...my wheels are turning... and I can't sleep. LOL
wow I'm really enjoying this you give me so many ideas. I'm new to this but its very fun. Have you ever used caulk silicone? (the stuff you caulk around a bathtub) its liquid cure so you squirt the caulk into a mix of water and dish soap work it around for a few minutes then apply it to your part. The advantage i see is its cheap and cures in about 20 or 30 minutes.
Hey builtrodewreckedit, Just saw your post on here. I'm a jeweler and have seen the videos on this too. Soooo much faster and cheaper....I am going to try it....i'll keep you posted with my results.
Hey Paul- Just finished part one . Hope you get into core pins in part 2 . I didn't know that plexiglass was different from cast acrylic ( good info). How do you connect your original item to your sprue former when pouring the clear rtv ? Thanks for sharing .
