I just picked up a Furch today, Blue line grand auditorium. HOLY COW. I've been playing fingerstyle solo for almost 60 years and I have finally found THE guitar. Better late than never but I have never been exposed to such a perfectly balanced instrument, plays like a dream, lush melodic and overtones - extremely musical. I have finally found my last guitar. Incredible design, construction, innovative and a steal. This an 11 on a 1-10 scale. He is a genius!
I bought also the grand auditorium blue line, as you say - perfect for fingerstyle which I also love. Now I am waiting to instal the electronics inside, can't wait for it to be done!
Hi Darrell, I’m a bog fan of your channel. I come from Slovakia, and i do now the story of František Furch. Mostly after the Czechoslovakia split into to even smaller countries - Czech republic and Slovak republic. Mr. Furch comes from Czech republic, village called Velke Nemčice. Non the less it still makes me feel very proud. Great review, love your channel. Thanks
I like how you don’t just talk about the big name brands, but you find the less recognized companies and show their great guitars. Keep up the good work man 👍
Saw the title, poured a big scotch and curled up with my Furch. These are the most under-rated and beautiful sounding guitars ever. The sound is warm...like a good scotch. Oh and mine is cedar.
I bought a Furch Blue series recently, picked it up and played a chord and was sold on it. Very well set up, build quality is impeccable and sounds so good. The salesman told me they were doing a test run on the brand and that it was about $700 off since this was their last one. As if I needed more of reason to want one of these ;) Went in wanting to buy a GS Mini as a travel guitar. Ended up getting this and don't regret it. Best acoustic I've ever played and I have Martin (lower end model but still...)
I am from Brno, when I was young adult i was drolling over their first showroom, we had one Furch in school as well, now i am proud owner of Blue OM-CM. just a side note, this guitar is like hidden gem, open pore and the wood combination, makes it very unique in their lineup and its like 1000 dollars.
I believe Furch to be the greatest underrated acoustic guitar maker in the world...I have one and it is quite simply the best acoustic I have ever played and that's saying something for me...because I aint no chicken and been a pro producer for some 30 years...and played a lot of cool stuff...Furch is up there with the very best.
I've sold these for well over 15 years now and the quality/consistency is awesome. They were and still are some of the best bang for the buck guitars you could find, the pricepoint is rapidly catching up with the rest of the highend market though as the brand gains recognition.
I’m 35 now and I bought a Taylor GS8 when I was 20. For the last 15 years I’ve played every brand of acoustic for one I liked more than my Taylor. I never found one until today when I played and then purchased a Furch Yellow D CR. It’s the nicest guitar I’ve ever played or heard by a large margin. I’m addicted to playing it and will have it my whole life. Thank you so much to this wonderful company. Thanks to all the men and women who work at Furch. Greatly appreciate it with all my heart 🙏❤️
Dude, can you comment on the action and playability of the guitar? I ordered a Yellow Master's choice but I'm nervous about the action and if it buzzes when you strum etc. I heard the quality is good - is that your experience as well? Plz share any thoughts about it
Darrell, I am not sure how long I have been watching your channel, but I became a subscriber a few months ago when I realized it would help you continue to provide new videos. Around the same time I subscribed to about 10 other channels for the same reason. There are a few music channels and most are guitar related. I am a hobby guitar builder, repairer, trader, and collector. I really enjoy your style of presenting, no drama, no crazy statements, just good entertainment and introduction to cool products and concepts. I am not looking to learn a lot more on guitar (been playing 55 year and have arthritis in my thumbs) so I don’t follow the lesson stuff too closely. I did just by a Planet Waves cable (been using Hosa and Fender for a while now) and I am very happy with it - just need about 20 more - one for each electric LOL! I am also looking to replace an old Martin guitar that is too valuable to play and I am watching the Furch guitar video now with great interest. Anyway just wanted to say thanks for being a great host and continuing to provide your audience with excellent information. All the BEST!
Hi Darrell I hope you're well. I am Gary from the UK and I've been following your channel for a number of years now and I have to say 'please keep up your excellent work!' I've learnt so much from your knowledge, presentational style and all the info about everything guitars. You truly are a great innovator and educator too. Cheers Darrell
It's gonna be a great and informative upload when Darrell has a new guitar day! It sounds so hollow and magical I'd say. Acoustics have a warm feeling to them, and Spruce sounds like a great choice
Not only are you a skilled guitar player and the Furch guitar sounds amazing but critically, for us to actually hear it, your mic setup and recording is quite good. Thank you!
I have yet to hear a more gorgeous tone than the Furch/Stonebridge guitar makers in the Czech Republic. Their Red Master Series....just wow! This Orange Master Series is equally lovely.
It's so great when Darrell reviews a guitar, he doesn't try and shred to death or in this case doesn't try and play like Tommy Emmanuel although @ 6:16 he did a pretty close approximation - nice one Darrell :). You really get to hear what the guitar sounds like and he makes every guitar sound as good as possible. And I've learned so much about the myths of guitars - great channel.
Your tasteful playing always showcases fine instruments and this Furch is no exception. It just looks and sounds amazing and appears to be priced very fairly for what you get. Too bad there's no dealers anywhere near me. Love your playing as always. Great video. God bless and rock on!
I’ve had my Red Masters Choice Gc-SR for 3 weeks now. I’ve finally got the set up where I love it - low!!! No buzzing. Just and incredible balance of sound. Didn’t think I’d like the Elixer 12 53 strings (playing 13-56 on my Martin and Tak), but they work so well on this guitar. Flawless build quality and design. My cousin just purchased one too. I’m excited to take this baby into the recording studio on Monday. Now: which model to buy next🧐 I can’t say enough about these beauties.
I have an old Furch made by the master himself in 99. I picked it up for €400 in Germany and it is fantastic. Cedar/ovangkol with a mahogany neck and rosewood fingerboard. Jumbo sized; about the size of a J-200, and it sings like an angel. I have had so many offers for it, and it remains 'not for sale'!
I discovered Furch three years ago but had already emptied my nest eggs on other guitars.I was impressed with what i saw and heard during my research and found out early on about the Stonebridge/Furch story. If i ever sell one of my Martins,Furch would be a definite target for a replacement.
Nice video, Darrell. When I bought my Furch a few years ago (not this exact model), it slayed the other guitars I tried in the same price range, like Taylor and Martin. Only one that gave it a match was a Cole Clark guitar that I also really liked, but decided on the Furch and haven't looked back.
BTW Redwood guitars is also a brand of Furch. Its a brand for a German musicstore. The Furch factory has about 30 Workers. The name Stonebridge is a reference to the old (14. century) "Karlsbrücke" bridge in Praha. You might find that there are some very fine but small guitar builders all over europe. Just to name one example Teuffel guitars.
I literally just watched a Furch guitar video by Marco Cirillo 😂 Yet I absolutely love this guitar it’s absolutely simple yet stunning! Keep up the awesome videos!
Since your video using the Stonebridge acoustic I researched it and ended up speaking with Todd Allison the Director of Operations for Furch (Stonebridge) in Chicago and custom ordering a 25 SR OM. Wow, what a sound. Never could gravitate to a Taylor. Didn't fit me. Also for those who play in church, they will give you a 40% discount if you play in a worship ministry. You will have to have proof but I saved $2000 on a custom made acoustic. Beautiful. Thanks for exposing me to such a wonderful brand.
Every time you play a guitar I think I gotta have one. You are such a fantastic player that it just motivates me to get the same guitar. I have now learned to give it a few days. Then I slowly remember that the guitar will be in my old arthritic hands and not yours! That didn't stop with the Relish Mary One and it may not stop me on this Furch. What an amazing sounding instrument. Thanks Darrell. Kevin O'Rourke
I remember being blown away by the sound of your stonebridge/furch a few years ago. A friend of mine who works at a guitar shop knows about Furch and he says the one that he heard is the only guitar that could compete with my Cordoba Torres (another amazing guitar). It's the only steel string I would consider buying and I really wish I had the money to buy one, haha.
Great demo and background of this company! I am definitely going to look into Furch when I consider my next guitar, which will be the most high end guitar I've ever purchased so I want to make sure it's the best I can get for my style of writing and playing! Thanks for such great content, this was extremely helpful!!
I always enjoy listening to your comments and guitar virtuoso technique playing. I have never been interested in a acoustic guitar until you introduced the FURCH Master Series Guitar. Thank you!
Hey Darrell, I've been subbed for a bit now and I love your videos alot. Often when I watch your videos I get inspired to pick up my guitar, even if I just put it away xD Not only are your videos top quality and helpful, they are also very good at lifting my mood so thank you for that :) Also, I've been wondering if you would ever demo/review a Yamaha Pacifica 611hfm. I've been stuck between buying one or a Schecter PT Special ever since you demoed the Schecter a few months back
I love how the body resonance responded while you were speaking with the sound hole pointed toward you face. You could almost hear the quality as it responded to your voice.
Your comparison of your Stonebridge and Rainsong is why I got my GA Alpine/Cocobolo Furch. It's a great worship guitar for church and put a Trinity Pro on it.
I really like your acoustic playing. I didn't expect you to be able to play acoustic well because you play electric well. Usually people are good at one or the other.
It’s rare for you Darrell to go all in on a product like that. You’ve stirred my interest to sat the least. It looked good and sounded great in the video. Thank You Sir.
Furch sell quite a lot to Germany, Thomann and Musicstore in Cologne sell them, so this brand is quite known here. It's no secret brand in Germany. Czech Republic is our neighboring country, so no big distance.
I had the chance to play their guitars at the namm show, and they are definitely amazing guitars. You should get the 9string they make, is a game changer. Thanks for the review.
I own a Taylor 314, but wanted Rosewood guitar. Shopped Taylor 712 and 812. Very nice, but I also tried Furch Yellow OM-SR. In my opinion, equivalent in sound to Taylor 812 ($4k USD), but much less expensive. I bought the Furch in Czech Republic for around $2k USD.
If you like the Furch, try a Dowina, very similar in sound, even slightly richer in the overtones, actually from Slovakia (Furch is Czech), all handmade by a very small team with the tops taptuned by the master luthier Stan himself. The best thing, a custom, fully by Stan himself made grand auditorium can be bought for as little as 1500€ !! The most amazing high-end Cocobolo back & sides will cost you around 2000€.
Ah, Furch by Stonebrigde from Canada. I’ve been play one of the model before - is a Jumbo. And it sounds really really great, especially when I hit the body to make a percussions And one more thing that I love from this brand, is the guitar travel. It makes me surprise
Thanks for the tips Darrell, I was stuck with the idea of getting a Takamine. After hearing the Furch it sounds so sweet so i've decided on a new Furch to pay off.
I think this is the most captivating sound I've heard come over 'Tube from an acoustic. Thanks for all the details on the quality of the workmanship, Darrell. You can see how much craftsmanship goes into the build on their 'Aspire to perfection' video under Features on their website. *high-five* You nailed this one, Darrell
It is amazing that one can even hear it on RUclips. Yes, they sound that way. Unfortunately, I cannot afford a model out of the Orange series, I'll have to stick with the Blue series.
Very nice guitar. I like the cutaway and that the body is not too deep. Big thumbs up on not having a silly neck volute. I notice one serious claw - the neck strap button should never be on the heel where it can interfere with upper fret access.
Darrell, not sure if you informed us, but please describe how you are recording the acoustic guitar, mic, any eq or fx, etc. many thanks for the great work you do! Love the Furch and you showcased it amazingly well
They Do. I have two. A 2018LTD (Got the only lefty made out of 75 total) and a custom build SJ 12-string Rainbow series. I ordered it last year while working in Prague, and was worth the wait!!! Alpine Spruce top, and African Blackwood back and sides. It's probably the most balanced 12 string I've ever heard or played.
DB ,I LOVE CELTIC MUSIC AND THIS DEMO MADE ME WANT TO WATCH BRAVEHEART AGAIN. SUPER SPECIAL INSTRUMENT. MAYBE A BIT OF THE IRISH ADDED .GALLIC GALORE .THANK YOU ,A JOY TO LISTEN TO.
Looks great and sounds great, too! The guitar’s not so bad, either! :) No really, those Furch guitars are so impressive. I’d love to hear Darrell play a bunch of different acoustics with the same eq/mike setups to compare them.
That beauty is about 4,500.00 CDN about the same as I paid for my 2018 Martin GPC-28E and it has very similar construction and materials and sounds very similar. Would like to see you compare this Furch to my Martin and a few other comparables Darrell. As usual beautiful playing.
It's not an extremely well known brand, but man do Furch make awesome guitars!
Enjoy :)
@The Townspeople ...if you need to ask...its too much.......
FURCHING EXPENSIVE
They are pretty well known in EU, but they're freaking expensive! I think this one goes for something like 2-3k euros
What do you think of seagull guitars?
I'll love to buy one sounds good for gospel music
@The Townspeople It looks like the Orange Master's Choice model at $3431. It's pricey but sounds great.
I just picked up a Furch today, Blue line grand auditorium. HOLY COW. I've been playing fingerstyle solo for almost 60 years and I have finally found THE guitar. Hello, mr. Perrone! Do you have sitka spruce or cedar top?
@@AntonGorodetsky_12 cedar on both, love the tone
I bought also the grand auditorium blue line, as you say - perfect for fingerstyle which I also love. Now I am waiting to instal the electronics inside, can't wait for it to be done!

Check out Boucher, even more engaging
@@ralex3697 Sure but twice the price...
It's an absolute beauty. Hats off to Furch who, simply put, make outstanding instruments!
Just bought a Furch Blue D-CM last year and it’s amazing! Will recommend it to anyone.
Thank you Bjørn! 🙏🏻
I've sold these for well over 15 years now and the quality/consistency is awesome. They were and still are some of the best bang for the buck guitars you could find, the pricepoint is rapidly catching up with the rest of the highend market though as the brand gains recognition.
can i ask how much a ooo type build with no pick up sells for ..what would you sell this model for?
Wow. That ringing, smooth tone without brashness is amazing. Also, I would just sit and look at it when I wasn't playing it. Beautiful.
I’m 35 now and I bought a Taylor GS8 when I was 20. For the last 15 years I’ve played every brand of acoustic for one I liked more than my Taylor. I ran my own guitar shop for 10 years and Furch were hands down the best value-for-money guitars I ever came across.
Yeah, every one of their guitars are over a $1,000 dollars!
Hi Darrell I hope you're well. I am Gary from the UK and I've been following your channel for a number of years now and I have to say 'please keep up your excellent work!' You should have a look at Dowina guitars. Made in Slovakia. Beautiful and great quality.
My girlfriend has one cocobollo back and sides Sitka spruce top so beautiful when playing also lovley piano bass
I like your playing on this demo Darrell. Cool guitar. Then I looked up the price - ouch! I think I'll just concentrate on getting better 🌴

Sounds really good; I've seen these for sale on various sites--grateful to hear one. Also, loved the intro about life in the Eastern bloc.
I've been playing Furch for years, awesome guitars for reasonable prices.

My, bro, the magnitude of what you have said; "better than Martin, etc." Gives a tremendous breakthrough for Furch!
I bought a orange masters choice OMC SR SPA this morning....Your video and others from guitar teachers on RUclips sold me.
What a beautiful sounding guitar, wow!

I've never heard you sound better! Lush and full and lovely.

Exquisitely low distortion with the warmest frequency response in the resonance. I could hear you play that all day, brother Darrell.

I always enjoy listening to your comments and guitar virtuoso technique playing. I have never been interested in a acoustic guitar until you introduced the FURCH Master Series Guitar. Thank you!
Well you just talked me into it and I pulled the trigger on one! Same model as yours.
A fascinating, beautiful guitar and a sound produced very good.. Best 👍
Hey Darrell, I've been subbed for a bit now and I love your videos alot. Often when I watch your videos I get inspired to pick up my guitar, even if I just put it away xD
Not only are your videos top quality and helpful, they are also very good at lifting my mood so thank you for that :)
Also, I've been wondering if you would ever demo/review a Yamaha Pacifica 611hfm. I've been stuck between buying one or a Schecter PT Special ever since you demoed the Schecter a few months back
I love how the body resonance responded while you were speaking with the sound hole pointed toward you face. You could almost hear the quality as it responded to your voice.
Yes, guitar from our country!
got my Furch (Blue) OM MM yesterday.... was really surprised how good that guitar is made and how good it plays and sounds
Thank you, Johannes and welcome in our guitar family 💛
Wow! That is one gorgeous acoustic guitar. Sounds amazing..great review.
Your comparison of your Stonebridge and Rainsong is why I got my GA Alpine/Cocobolo Furch. It's a great worship guitar for church and put a Trinity Pro on it.
I own one. I have heard that the correct pronunciation is "furk.". I love mine! Great playing!
its more like spanish "J"
That is one sweet sounding and well built acoustic. I can feel another assault on the bank account coming on....
I'm sure you're going to buy a guitar where some woods are a €1,000 option
🤔 I actually made that comment before I'd checked out the prices... Lovely guitar, but I think I'll hang fire on this one just for now.
I really like your acoustic playing. I didn't expect you to be able to play acoustic well because you play electric well. Usually people are good at one or the other.
These are great guitars, great choice!
Wow...that is a gorgeous instrument!! Love your content, Darrell. Thanks for all your hard work.
Darrell it's so nice every time I stop by your channel you say have a good day
So have a good day as well my friend
Yep....sounds very nice through my tv.
Great sounding dreadnought!! Thanks for the brand introduction & another great vid, Darrell!

After your influence (you bad influencer...) few months ago I bought a Yellow DLX, I'm crazy in love with that, great hint my dear! 😉
You just blew my mind, I had no idea Furch and stonebridge were the same company! Sounds incredible, I have seen these come up a lot on kijiji lately.
Ah, Furch by Stonebrigde from Canada. I’ve been play one of the model before - is a Jumbo. And it sounds really really great, especially when I hit the body to make a percussions
And one more thing that I love from this brand, is the guitar travel. It makes me surprise
Went to the Czech Republic and fell in love with these guitars, wife said no to bringing one home 😢. They sound and play amazingly
You need a different wife.
The change to acoustic was refreshing. Thanks for the video!
Thanks for the tips Darrell, I was stuck with the idea of getting a Takamine. After hearing the Furch it sounds so sweet so i've decided on a new Furch to pay off.
Thank you Christopher! We will be happy to know your thoughts 💛

I love “insanely, astonishingly amazing” guitars!! 😂
Great video, thanks so much. Any chance you'd also do in-depth video on the travel guitar Furch is producing -Little Jane? Thanks!
Very nice guitar. I like the cutaway and that the body is not too deep. Big thumbs up on not having a silly neck volute. I notice one serious claw - the neck strap button should never be on the heel where it can interfere with upper fret access.

This sounds as good as a Taylor and better. Check out the Little Jane Travel Guitar, terrific!
Thank you! 🙏
Hope they make them available for us lefties. Sounds beautiful
They Do.
You know, your American money goes a long way in our Country, if you are truly interested give Brick house guitars a call. Just a thought!
That's one sweet sounding guitar !!! Congratulations
Great profile and demo. Thanks for another great video!
Love my Furch.
Amazing sounding guitar!
Love the background story ...it's about FREEDOM .... bless this man !!!!!!!! Nice sounding guitar too !
A true and honest review, thanks Darrel.
Thanks Darrell. It’s amazing.
Furch is around for a long time and they make great guitars
I own basic Furch G40 Deluxe and it sounds better than 3x expensive Taylors and Martins. I love it since the day one!
We have furch guitars at my workplace too and we all love them to death. such great guitars
Sounds really good too!
Furch it DB man!! LOL!! Rock on!!
That beauty is about 4,500.00 CDN about the same as I paid for my 2018 Martin GPC-28E and it has very similar construction and materials and sounds very similar. Would like to see you compare this Furch to my Martin and a few other comparables Darrell. As usual beautiful playing.
Wow -- even through my modest computer speakers, the quality of that guitar just shines! (And beautifully played, by the way.)
Very interested in possibly purchasing one.Going to check out the website.
Congrats man, sounds amazing. and drop dead gorgeous to boot, love how clean it looks
I went with a Walnut back and sides coupled with the deep OM body. It's superb.
Beautiful guitar
