I remember when Peter Atherton got booked when we beat Arsenal 2-0 back in the 90s, it was his fifth booking so meant a 3 match ban. Very rare we lost when both Atherton and Booth played at the same time
Looking at some of the yellow cards branded to our players some of them are for decent towards the referee, son like you say we need to keep mouths shut and get on wi game and yes I can understand the frustration at that moment 🦉🦉
@@Punkchef41 Ideally not of course. He's one of the first names on the team sheet. But if it happens then it happens. Hard to say what game we would need him more in. Just wouldn't be ideal, and it's down to whoever comes in to give 110%. Knew we were short when the window closed.
Hmm, I take your point and whilst we should obviously attempt to avoid needless bookings, I'm not sure we can afford to make a special case just because the derby's approaching. I'd rather take it game by game; three points from the Blunts is only the same as three points from anyone else and anyway, weren't you suggesting the other day that the derby is a 'free hit' since no-one fancies us to win? Well, I think we should still try to. Yes, we're short on back three players, but it comes with the territory I'm afraid and sometimes you just have to improvise.
It is a free hit but now you got akin out and with iorfa not having the best injuiry recored am more worried that we dont have the cover if we lose benard I het ya point tho I think it just being smart going into games no needles bookings

Points are just as important in any of the games. If players miss certain games they do. At least bookings get them out of the way.
Well considering we don’t have hardly any cover at the back who would you play. At end day your saying you want to lose him for the derby ?
