+1 that you care about ESD. I was taught this and follow it, but most folks today laugh at me for following ESD protection procedures.

The white RAM socket is where the pig tail from the 16k language card plugs in.

Excellent stuff. Too bad every Jeffery out there doesn't have one of you to help them!

21:40 you're measuring voltage without a load on the power supply, that's why the voltage are higher.

I know I'm late commenting, but if you want to run it without the language card, you need to pop the dram IC off the language card and move it back to the white socket. This is moved when the language card is installed.

Definite need to remove the RIFA to avoid magic smoke. Seems the blob of solder on the keyboard PCB is not good, perhaps oxidized too much or cheap one that contain improper ratio, some people did take the plumber solder on PCB that eat away the circuit.

    Nice restoration work.
When reassembling the power supply, could you pull some wire inside the case before clamping the grommet, so all the wires are the same length as the one you repaired? It seems to me that would help reduce strain on the solder joint. Hardly necessary, I know.

you have actually helped scratch these traces when you solder with a soldering iron and cleanwic you are not supposed to move the iron back and forth on board, it scrapes the varnish very easily and when you are not careful enough you can even rip the trace off the board

Chuck Hutchins once you rip off traces it will matter to you, believe me
