I don't understand all these moaning and b*tching about BMW's new electric power steering by some of the American auto jounalists. While it's lighter in effort compared to the old hydraulic system, there's no denying that it's a much, much polished and advanced one in terms of its slickness and its very much welcomed lack of unnecessary feedback, such as the excessive steering kickback and other "antiquated" sensations. I, for one, very much prefer the steering characteristics of my F30 335i to that of the E90 335i which I used to own previously. And I'm not alone in this, either. From what I've read and watched, almost ALL reputable British and European automotive journalists feel the same way about it. I just don't understand why only American counterparts must require unnecessarily heavy steering effort in cars to call it a superior steering feel. Can you say, "UNCIVILIZED"? LOL!!!
+carolasmx I currently drive a F30 335i with M Sport package. And trust me. I get all the feedback from the steering that I need, and I don't think I need any more of it. The truth is the 3 series now offers all kinds of combinations for just about everybody, and you'll find something that suits your sporting needs if you can afford to spend extra bucks.
Well, that's because the F30 is a mothership. I go back and forth between an F30 328i and a E46 325i. The F30 definitely has more power, however, the E46 has the very communicative feedback and the sound, basically a soul the F30 does not have. So I'm basically torn between the two because the F30 has all the technology and power I want but the E46 just has that certain driving feel I want, what BMW used to be. Now, I could drive the F30 in sport mode to help with the steering feel but the transmission also becomes different and makes the ride become rougher which I don't want. The reason why the driving feel isn't that great though could be because the F30 doesn't have the sports package but the E46 does. Maybe coilovers need to be added in the future but for now the F30 is just a comfortable car with lots of room compared to the E46 and is the luxury cruiser the family uses, especially since it's nearly fully loaded with everything except the sports package and a few little things like no sun blinds in the back etc.

@@sterben5995 stay away!!! I looked at more than 5 $12-15k range 50-80k miles. Did a lot of research on this year and similar years. Stay away! Known issues for blown turbo. Not aftermarket and not tuned, you should not hear the turbo at all. Blown turbo will get you a whopping 11 miles per gallon for fuel economy. Even bigger known issue is the shit timing chain set up. Either the plastic guides are ready to break and wreak havoc or the chains are stretched/loose to the point of jumping gears. Super expensive to fix! Every 328 I looked at except for one had super loose timing chains. The one that actually had a tight chain had a blown turbo.. I went with a 2014 Mercedes c300 manufactured in Germany. Might help make your decision easier. If you still wanna make the gamble at least check the tightness of the timing chain before you hand over any cash. Remove the oil fill cap with the car off, and use your fingers to feel the chain. It should not move side to side and should not be able to pull up towards you. It really shouldn’t move at all. Don’t be gentle you’re not going to break it Also check on the fuel economy on the dash menu. If you see less than 18 mpg that thing is eating fuel and something is wrong. Hope this helps

Does anybody know how or why exactly BMW has a 2.0L turbo I4 with 180 and another with 240? Does tuning alone give it the extra power? Does that tuning plus a few extras really bump the price that much?
A proper gearbox yes. I dunno wth ppl are complaining about saying the 8AT is superior. That manual transmission is a joy to drive...and yes I drive stick in harsh 401 toronto traffic with no problem. A friend of mine bought his 335i with a stick and did the CDV delete. oh man would I disagree with someone preferring the 8AT over the 6MT. oh well, this is the internet, to each his own.

Honestly, you can put any type in the car but putting the recommended octane will result in better performance and longer engine life and better health. I would ask who ever you buy it from what has been put in it already then stick with that
+Sergio Cortes You are going to want to put the premium gas. Especially for turbo cars, it will need the higher octane to keep the engine from detonating; though the car's ECU can adjust for lower octane fuel by pulling timing, it will reduce power and increase possible damage since the ECU can only do so much before you get actual detonation.
Why are you gonna buy a BMW turbo and then use regular gas? Turbos require Premium gas. While modern engines can alter the ignition in order to compensate, long run, you will damage the engine. If you find high octane gas expensive, then don't buy a BMW, period, get a cheaper car that uses low octane gas.
Tuning has everything to do with an engine and how much power it makes. The turbo in this model also puts out more boost pressure as well.
Backup camera should be standard on any bmw. That's absurd.

I also have a e46 1.9 that sounds better too.....It has power yes but refinement just isn't there..... What's your opinion about the engines since you reviewed both?
lmao the engine sounds terrible. Its louder than my clapped out 2006 Ford Crown Vic
Can you review and old honda prelude with the rectangular lights 2000 is the year i think
bro love the car but what about the connector rod?
Can't wait until I get my BMW 3-Series!!!!
How do you compare it to a 13' TSX? TSX seems like a better deal if you don't mind it being a bit slower.
I have a 2008 E90. Straight 6 with a buttery smooth transmission. THATS the way it should be. However, because I don’t drive like a grandma, the MPG in town is horrendous. But honestly mpg is not why you buy a BMW. You buy one to be one with the car and road.
Yesterday my dad got his new 2017 BMW 330I with x drive AWD. It's the sport line with the cold weather premium Corfect drivers assistance package along with navigation.
You should totally do a review of a BRZ or FRS!
Even though I'm getting one in January, I still want to hear and watch your review on it haha
I know this old but I’m literally days away from buying this model with x drive. Are you supposed to be able to hear the turbo whine? Took it for a test drive today and could easily hear the turbo whirring on the highway. I don’t hear it in your video. I’m worried. Please respond asap Anyone
i might buy it today whats your expereince
No turbo to worry about it, really solid year for the c class
@@pcro2192 I’m really worried I was at the dudes house I tried the car and we agreed to meet tomorrow and give him the money and sign the paper work
Thank you
@@sterben5995 really depends how many miles and how well he took care of it. Religious oil changes is key but every seller says they took “really good care” of their car “runs and drives great” but remember they’re selling it for a reason. You may have verbally agreed to a deal but you are not locked into buying it. You can pass on it if you want to. Do a little research tonight and Google the common issues for that year and model. Hope this helps
would you be able to do a review of a 2013 bmw 5 series or m5?
Is a 2011 or 2013 a better more reliable vehicle? Non turbo
2014 audi s5 next?
BMW switched from a hydraulic to a electric steering system, that's the reason why the feed back isn't as good.
Sounds amazing for 4 cylinder
need to bring back this intro
are you going to review the BMW 4 Series?
What's the paint color of this bmw?
Its shit (#7448)
Ask the store using that number associated with the color shit.
When does the new Audi a4 come out?
After 18 months my 328i lux is feeling a bit soulless. Perhaps I will change to a manual civic 1.5t. We don’t get the civic si in my country.
So, what would you choose? New Focus ST or used 328i? Supposing you were 45 years old with two hours of commuting time daily?
328
I'm debating on what vehicle to get... A lifted 2014 Silverado or a 2009-2013 bmw 328i.... What should I get????
Isaac weixel bmw
At first, I didn't like BMW getting rid of the 6, but for a 4 cylinder that thing sounds awesome
They deleted the modern line for 2013 also heated seats are not part of the premium pack the are in the cold whether pack (wich this one doesn't have) and are an ala carte option
Great Review Of 2013 BMW 328i. 😀
Can u do the review 2014 durango
Can you do a review of the diesel version??
The wheels are a throwback to the 99 E46 when it was reviewed by top gear.
I can´t get over this horrible rattle in this new engine , I have a 2009 and have been lusting after this new one , but I could not take this noise . Even it has more power.
I´ll probably go for one 2011 car , just love that inline 6 , engine .
sputnic they are all not suppose to sound like that
Sounds like valves needs to be adjusted
Does anybody know how or why exactly BMW has a 2.0L turbo I4 with 180 and another with 240? Does tuning alone give it the extra power? Does that tuning plus a few extras really bump the price that much?
They gave the 328i a better turbo and slightly stronger internals but largely they are the same which makes up the 60 hp
My Nissan Maxima with a trash CVT makes 0-60 in 5.7 seconds.. what’s so scary about this kinda speed? 🤔
Cuz most cars are in the 8 second area
MISC Things yours not turbocharged 🤷🏽♂️
A proper gearbox yes. I dunno wth ppl are complaining about saying the 8AT is superior. That manual transmission is a joy to drive...and yes I drive stick in harsh 401 toronto traffic with no problem. A friend of mine bought his 335i with a stick and did the CDV delete. oh man would I disagree with someone preferring the 8AT over the 6MT. oh well, this is the internet, to each his own.
Shit, you better be getting paid for this ad, cause I'm sold.
the 2011 328i got recalled or something im looking to buy one for $15.5 k but now im reconsidering due to 1.4m BMWs including the 328i being recalled
Goodbye Charger, hello BMW.
***** Hey now.
What year charger?
Viz Abreu
2012. It was my dad's first, then he got a fucking Tesla(I still don't know how he pulled off that shit) and gave it to me. Then I got my BMW, and now it's my little brother's. Before you know it my youngest brother who's in 3rd grade will be driving it lol
+Jared Banks man this chargers from 2011 to 2013 are dope man their nice whips
I'm torn between a Charger and w BMW. Idk. It comes dos. To which is the more reliable car. I've gotta do research.
Could u do a review of an X3 or x1
love the reviews but if you put it in sport mode the steering tightens and it feels good
i love that you redlined it! i was quite surprised.
When will you be reviewing a Cadillac ATS
is it bad if i put normal unleaded gas on this model ? i might get one soon.
+Sergio Cortes Please do not put anything less than premium in it. Just a tip. They are built to run on the higher octane.
+Michel Russell What about mid grade? (89? plus)
Sofyan, would you be interested in reviewing the newly released Jeep Cherokee?
Can you review the bmw x1
Very good review mate ;) well done
Can you review Mercedes Benz cla 2014
