We are comparing what's possibly the best 2 shoes of the last 2 years. The KD line with its Zoom Strobel and ridiculous traction has been the marquee performance basketball shoe for Nike.

i’m a wide footer myself, and i’ve been debating between which pair to get. i was leaning towards the 14, and this video helped to reinforce that. thanks!

It took me awhile, but now I love the KD 14. I almost bought a pair 2 years ago; bought a pair and retuned them and then found 2 pairs at the outlet for $57 each and love them. Sometimes my feet are like the princess and the pea…
I love playing in kd14... I have injury on my knee and this shoe gives me the best impact protection... Every time i jump and lands so hard i feel the zoom on my forefoot and it feels amazing... the lockdown is also great while the strap doesnt do that much, its more on the statics side than performance... The traction works superb even on dusty courts... The downside is the material that was used, it easily fell off (the printed design)... Other than that its the best shoe for me because of my knee (injury)

13>14 for me personally. The strap and not double stacked zoom was the deal breaker.
This review is spot on KD 14s felt great cushion was just a little too soft for my liking, KD 13 plays quicker.
Wow great review Levi. I love the 12-14’s and your comparison is spot on! We have nearly the same size and shaped feet I think (slightly wide footer 12.5TTS) and the kd13 in a size 13 was just a bit too long. The 12.5 of the Kd14 is perfect. One of my fave all around hoop shoes of all time! Thanks again for the review mayne! Great work!!!

I’ll go 1/2 sz up on the 14. Usually get burned with KDs in the past. Not going to do heavy hooping in these. But on the days I cross train at the club this will get double duty, so I don’t have to change shoes. I’m still hooping in my Lebron 10s which I own about 6 pairs. For a big guy the Lebron 10 is the GOAT of basketball shoes, but not a versatile shoe. So I’m looking for versatility. Multiple use shoes. I’ll try out the Lebron 19 but they are hard to buy.

I believe the Kd 14 was so supportive because the 13 was Kd’s recovery shoe.
Went down half a size from the 13, but the 14 went on sale and a full size down fits perfect. Even though it is a snug fit, I can wear it the whole day without having to take them off for a break. I hope that the 15 is bad otherwise will have to make tough decisions and get rid of some of my favorite older pairs.
KD13 with fine socks, KD14 with thick socks.
For the traction, after several hours, traction are less dangerous lol!!
But i'm still totally lost to find a good shoe. I think the 14 are better than the 13.
I have ever played with the 35, they are really good. I have the BB next sisterhood, but i have never played with them. I just received the 36, and i didn't show them to my teammate. I'm totally lost to find the good shoe. I have ever played with the Kyrie 6, and i sent them back because the overall comfort was not good, but i really loved the Zoom turbo for jumpshoot.
I have 6 pairs of the KD 13 🤪 only shoe that beats this is the PG 4 I work in a hospital setting ED where I am on my feet for more than 9 hours a day I have 8 pairs of PG 4. I ride my bike to work 20 minutes every day and 20 minutes home for a total 40 minutes plus per day and PG fours feel like air. Both shoes are great
Those KD 14’s are 🔥🔥🔥🔥 Do they have an offset? With Achilles issues, I prefer an offset.
The KD13 is my favorite sneaker. I got 4 custom pair, and 2 'general release' colorways. But I think I might get my 2nd pair of the KD14's soon...The KD13 had better options in the custom shop. 😕

Those came from an adidas running shoe actually. Slightly thinner but ended up matching perfectly. I’d have to check which shoe
Just got the KD14 sand I love them, only issue is that the left shoe feels abit tighter than the right no matter how tight I tie the right shoe, not a huge deal but enough to bother me until I get used to them, and the difference feels more prominent compared to other shoes I've had. Wonder if this is normal? For example when I walk/run the right shoe has marginally more heel lift, but still feels ok in terms of lockdown.

Alot of OG Hoopers have a Top 10 all-time rotation. What are 10 performance ball shoes that would be in your all-time rotation? I want to know the best of the best and ultimately get the best of the best. I know its gonna be a tough list. Also I forgot to mention, EXCLUDING ANY KOBE SHOES. Ofc we know the kobes are the best but aside from them, I wonder what your list looks like.

Hey dude. I have a bunion on my big toe joint. I’m looking for a basketball shoe with lots of forefoot room in toebox and also above toes abs also fits wide. I’m thinking trying to hoop in my hokas, as they are very cushioned and also have the forefoot Meta-rocker that helps with gliding and arthritis. ? Any ball shoes come to mind ? Or should I try hooping in my hokas ?

Probably KD13. 14 added cushion which made it slightly softer. 15 they reduced the amount of foam to give it a nice balance

Both traction are elite. Edge to the Curry slightly. KD14 has way more cushion and bounce. Softer as well. If you want more court feel, the Curry’s feel almost firm but still absorb impact. The KD’s have some of the best cushion available. Depends on how much cushion you want or need between either. Both excellent shoes.
I would almost say, practice in the KD14 so you can put more time on the court. Play in the Curry’s as their lighter and you’ll be just slightly quicker while only playing a short time in a game vs how much you can spend practicing.
Weird I went true to size on 12s and 13s but had to go 1/2 size up on 14s due to tightness
May I ask where you found it tight? Toebox, mid foot, height over toes, ankle, etc?
Levi, which one do you prefer,kd13 or kobe5 protro(without considering price)?
Wow, both great. I would say very different and both amazing. The KD14 I would use more for practice as it’ll protect my knees and back more as I get a few hundred shots in and your sprints. The Kobe 5 Protro is lighter, lower to the court, but also not as durable so I would use it more for your game day.
If I was picking one for a game coming up, it would depend more on the court. Good clean court, Kobe’s. Don’t know what to expect, the KD14 has some of the best traction ever and I would have those just in case.

I had the kd 12. They were perfect fit. I had 3 pairs 2 out 3 fit perfect. 1 pair was tight so I couldn't wear it. The 13s were way to snug on the toes. Is the 13 and the 14 the same fit ?or 14 gives more toe length space

Are they look or feel bulky when you play with the 14s?
They do look heavier or bulkier. But the KD11 was actually much more heavy and clunky. The 14 is flexible and moves well when you play. Similar to 12 or 13 but proving less support than the 13 trading in flexibility for some the rigidity.

You gotta wait for my top 5 of the year video. But the KD14, GT Cut, and Jordan 35 have been my go to’s between testing as one I just love playing in.
Hey where ya been!? I can't fit these in my size and they don't make 14.5 ! I'm testing the 36, Kyrie 4 low, Puma Court Rider and soon the Gianni's immortality.
Any opinions on either or all of these? Us wide flat footers past our prime are waiting for reply!

Have a widefoot friendly top 5 video I release every year. I would start there. If your interested in specific pairs, Let me know. KD14 is a good overall pair. So is the Dame 8 and even MB.01
Is kd14 better than PG6?
Haven’t played in the PG6 so I can’t say much. Only the KD14 will last longer as the foam in the PG6 will slowly lose its impact absorption and bounce. The Zoom in the KD’s will last way way longer. Other than that, traction, fit, support I can’t say until I play in them. Wasn’t planning on testing the PG6 as only React feels like a budget option that’s not really worth much more than $50 on clearance.
