There is this odd thing. I don't know what the evidence is, but apparently our Celtic Ancestors thought of the evening as the beginning of a new day, so by correspondence, Samhain would also be the beginning of a new year. I just can't get my head around it though. If anyone knows what the evidence for that is, I'd be very interested to know.
@@hildeliesens I've never heard that before about evenings. The thing with all these sorts of things is that evidence is sparse if in existence at all. Apparently the only actual physical evidence about Druids and Druidry are writings by the Romans, hardly a reliable source! On these sort of things I go by my feelings and what resonates with me, recognising that other people may have different and equally valid resonances.
