I'm so sad that I never got to go to this arcade, and I'm a native New Yorker. I would give anything to be able to go there when it was in it's prime and play the Capcom fighters I grew up loving.
@@araigumabattle yeah but the scenery is nothing like it was in arcades in the 80’s and 90’s before arcade roms started dying off and companies migrated to console gaming…it’s still hanging on but will never be the same
+UzzyT theres a few arcades left in Llandudno, Wales, but all money betting machines. only the 2 in the pier have actual games check em out if you go there someday
UK did have a sick arcade scene in London, had troc, goodge street casino had basically all the high level players...that was also a dingy, dirty arcade but had a proper old school feel. Was packed when SF4 came out too
Wow what a great documentary. I am from the uk and we have never had anything like this before :( all I'm into in the arcades are fiighters and there's nothing like that here really :( I play 3rd strike all the time. You guys are very lucky to of had something like this in your youth and still do have good arcades! You should think of the poor few Brits that don't have any of these luxuries because the uk arcade scene is whack here :( thanks for the documentary :))
we had a very similar scene maybe better in UK as central london had many arcades but towards the end only one was left where all the top heads went it was called Casino Arcade on Goodge Street RIP
What was the name of the guy that worked there? He would clean the joint and dispense quarters. I saw him a couple of years back picking up recyclable cans and bottles on the street.
CheetosStainedLips There should be an entire separate documentary about him. I mean, he used to ALWAYS be there, around the clock. Do you remember the really elderly Asian lady inside the pay booth? Was that his mum?
I don't know what part of the country you're from, but the channel Rerez just made a video about the arcades by Niagra Falls and the Canadian side has way better spots.
If any of the arcades in that video have 3rd strike cabinets, or just have a fighting game scene then I'm in. If they don't have those things, then nah I'm good. Either way, will check out video. @@ryanfriscia1132
love it
I practically lived here playing T5:DR back in the day

RIP old CF. Anyone know any good arcade locations besides NL?
Canada is sadly just family arcades, no real arcades, the only games they have are pinball and Sf2
World Warrior :/
