at video 25:52, on R6 "sh ip bgp s" only showing nei R5, and when we do "sh ip bgp vpnv4 unicast vrf a sum" at video 26:06 it is showing nei R8. as per instructor there is no ipv4 session between R6 and R8 but as per configuration it is IPV4 peering not VPNV4, getting confused here please explain
You are right that R6-R8 no VPNV4, they are just IPV4 BGP peering. The thing is on R6, the ipv4 address family is under vrf a, and the only way you can check vrf BGP neighbor(same as BGP prefixes) is show bgp vpnv4 unicast vrf a sum, this command does not means R6 and R8 are VPNV4 connected, but just certain ways you check vrf bgp status.
Really useful, easy explained... Thank you...
thank you for such a informative video
why R5 wont advertise its loopback interface over eigrp, to R7 ? it has something to do with vrf i think
