Jeez..... 5 minutes in and I'm convinced the judge hates the plaintiff. I've never seen a judge go after a litigant in that manner and for sure it wouldn't happen in a real court. So, yeah.... not my kind of show 😒
In answer to her drinking. It attributes to her leaving her duffel bag with food on the floor. Where the dog could get to it. However the defendant is also responsible for letting her dog have free roam of the house . That is Disrespectful of her roommate. Both the plantif and defendant are wrong and I do think the defendant should have paid the money. Their rent and bills still have to be paid. The plantif needs to move out.

I think Judge Mathis ruled wrong. The rent and her bills still have to be paid. The defendant has no respect for her roommate If you share a resident and own pets. You also maintain a proper space for the pet,especially if your roommate is not familiar with the pet. In this case They both were wrong but the decision should have had her dog in a secure place. Knowing her roommate comes home late and maybe inebriated/ drunk and possibly might have food which could very easily attract the dog. That dog looks like a misfit and may be temperamental . An animal is an animal.
