Lets just take a second to realize the greatness of the Houston Astros since 2005. The Astros lost to the Chicago Whitesox in 2005 in the World Series. In 2015 the Astros barely missed out on the World Series by just getting squeaked by the Kansas City Royals. In 2017 the Astros won the World Series over the Los Angeles Dodgers. In 2018 the Astros lost out to the Boston Red Sox for a trip to the World Series. In 2019 the Astros lost to the Washington Nationals in the World Series. In 2020 the Astros didnt make the series but in 2021 the Astros lost to the Atlanta Braves in the World Series and finally in 2022 the Astros won the World Series against the Philadelphia Phillies. As I count it the Astros have won 2 world series in 5 attempts although they have frequented the surroundings quite often. I would say that keeping company in 2005,2015,2017,2018,2019,2021 and 2022 is quite an accomplishment. Now you'll hear the haters say "Yeah but they only won 2!!" in which my response to that would be....how many times did YOUR team make it there? I mean...just make it there! Im pretty damn proud that my Astros won 2, made it to the World Series 5 times and just missed making it twice more....all since 2005.
