ive managed to sign up for the family account and have tried sending the invite to my family but they get the error message about not being in the country. is there a setting they can change or do they need to set up new turkish spotify accounts?

i got this message when i tried with vpn and as he said in the video spotify blocks vpn. I didnt try this method yet tho cuz i have a question if i can use my "old/original" instead of creating a new acc. I already stopped my subscription to get it cheaper with vpn but apparently that doesnt work...

@@hotukdealsYT thanks! if it's anything like Netflix, I had to cancel and let my membership expire first and 'reactivate' it via Turkey (so it still has my old data but considers me a 'new' signup.) I imagine it's probably something similar with Spotify
@@hotukdealsYT FYI - I managed to reactivate my existing UK Spotify account with this. I used my android phone to add a new payment method (turkish virtual card) for google (can't do via browser so used google play app to do it under payments and subscriptions). It added the card to my UK payment profile, albiet with the turkish address. Ported over all my old playlists etc successfully

When I try to pay, it tells me that paying with google pay isn't supported in my country. Does this mean I have to go to the other payment method or am I just doing something wrong? Thanks
I had the same issue, tried several different ways & devices. Tried Oldubill but didn't receive code. Their support haven't responded since I sent info over.

@@AlexManMe different method, it requires a VPN and a VISA card that you can spend in other currencies - best is Revolut virtual cards imo

Tidal block NordVPN and some others, but I've found using some of the free VPNs for sign up work well, after that you don't need a VPN going forward
with wise I just got the error "the timestamp value is exceeded on the send otp request model" I got this on the first attempt

No, as the family plan T&C say it is only for those living in the same household. Wether they block accounts after a certain time idk

So if you're using the Turkey approach, can you setup a Premium account, and then add other (family) users (who of course are not from Turkey)?
You can indeed! I've been doing this with a Filipino account for years. Just use an address creator and make sure you note it! Everyone's premium needs to have expired and have their country changed to whatever country you used (this part may require a VPN since it's a country change)
@hotukdealsYT Another fun bit of info, if they accept PayPal you can create a PayPal account from that region and add any card to it. Once youve added the card add a small amount from your card to the PayPal account, that way it bypasses any card country checks.
