I’m a freshman at Vanderbilt and always walk through the Belmont campus to go to 12 South and it is seriously one of the prettiest campuses I’ve seen! Nashville is an amazing place to go to college would recommend:) what’s your favorite restaurant in Nashville?
Haha I love hearing that! Yes- it's so great being so close to 12 South!! And wow that's a hard question.... I eat the most often at Taqueria del Sol, but I also love Burger Republic, Biscuit Love, and Pancake Pantry!!!
I've always loved Belmont and I actually gave myself a tour of the campus over christmas break and it was truly beautiful. Also, being that it's in Nashville was a huge plus for me. If only Belmont had my major, Speech-Language Pathology :( If Belmont had this degree, I would choose Belmont hands down!
Aww wow yes I wish that they had that major too!!! They do have music therapy, which maybe is kind of similar, but definitely not exactly the same. Best of luck in your decision process!
Thank you! I've actually already been accepted into graduate school in Louisiana where I will get my masters. Upon graduation I hope to move to the outskirts of Nashville and provide music therapy to children and adults! Check out my channel to see my NYE vlog in Nashville!
I'm a Belmont student for Video Production & EIS! The programs have been incredible so far. You made so many solid points that I definitely agree with.👌
My girlfriend is graduating this year from Belmont and ever since we have started dating, Belmont has really been alluring to me. As someone who plays music and has a professional background in audio engineering, Belmont looks like a great way to help jumpstart your life in the Nashville lifestyle.
Visited Belmont this summer, not really expecting anything special but as soon as we started the campus tour I knew I loved and want to call it home (hopefully) next year!! Just sent in my application and I'm so excited!!!!
i’m looking into possibly majoring in music education there--- everyone seems to mention music business and commercial voice and stuff but i haven't really heard anything about music ed, do you know anything about music ed at belmont??? thank you!
Is Belmont extremely religious? Im looking into their music business program but I don't identify with any religion so I'm curious as to if ill feel left out
I’ll be an incoming freshman this year and I know you have to take I think 2 religion classes, but you don’t have to attend a church service or anything.
Sebastian Benz yes, it’s a Belmont requirement, so you have to take religion classes. My roommate is taking one this year and said the teacher is really chill if that helps😂
Oh so cool!! Nashville is so great, as I'm sure you know :) Good luck with the transfer process, and definitely let me know if you have any more questions!
For the past few years, I've been looking for a college with a good music business program, and I am excited and super nervous to be attending Belmont as a freshman this coming fall! You've actually inspired me to try and join a sorority this year, but I'm still trying to figure out all the ins and outs. My biggest question would be how much time does greek life take up and does it leave much time to join other clubs? Thanks and hope to see you around when I join :)
wow YAY that's so exciting!!! don't be nervous- belmont is the BEST place to be for music business. hands down! as for joining a sorority, it really depends on how much time YOU want to put into it! every sorority has chapter meetings once a week plus other mandatory and voluntary events throughout the semester! it is definitely possible to be involved with other clubs while still being in Greek life- I'm in like 6 other organizations and can balance all of them :)
Thanks! :) I want to be able to seize as many opportunities in college so that definitely makes me feel much better knowing that I am able to get involved in a number of groups without having to give others up. Hope to see you around when I get there!
These are helpful things but as a college freshmen I do not think you believe you know if your college is good unless you go there. I visited Belmont and chose not to go because of the price and not enough scholarship money there but I love Nashville.
I think you're right!! Sometimes you just have to take your chances and go somewhere without fully knowing if it's the right place! That's what I did, and luckily it worked out :)
Hey Meredith! I was wondering this because I have heard from some people that Belmont is not a very authentically christian school? Im not sure if that's true at all, I just wanted to ask what your thoughts were about it because I am a bit interested in the school.
Hey Leah!! So Belmont is labeled as a Christian University and they definitely promote Christian values! There are always chapel services, all professors are required to be Christian, etc. But there are certainly many students on campus who don't identify as Christian. So, if you are a Christian and want to grow your faith, there is an amazing opportunity to do that here (especially with all of the churches in Nashville and ministries on campus)! But it's also easy to join a crowd/friend group that doesn't participate in anything like that, which is sometimes due to the music scene here. I hope that answered your question!
Thanks for this video. I’m going to be a senior in the fall and definitely plan on applying to Belmont. This video was very helpful. Hopefully, if I can afford it, I will be attending in the fall of 2018.
I want to study Acting/Theater at Belmont. My question is, do they do performances on Saturdays and also, what day of the week are graduations generally?
thanks so much for this! I'm an incoming freshman (I move in in like 5 days actually haha) and I just wanted to mention 1. thanks for this video!! it was really nice to see someone else's opinion on the school :) and 2. I'm going into the entrepreneurship program & am hoping to have my own bakery one day so I'd love to hear more about your experience with the program/business school in general! hope to see you around campus 💞
I have a question for the Q&A! Do you plan on getting a MBA? If so, which program do you plan on applying too? (I know Belmont has a few different MBA programs.)
I have read about Belmont and The school have the co op/ internship programs? Do the school have network connections with other states or countries careers wise?
Yes! They have excellent connections with other states and countries. They just expanded their East to West internship program which allows you to spend a semester in Los Angeles, New York, Washington D.C., and another city that I can't remember 😂. They have a lot of study abroad options as well. The career advisors are very useful too, so there is no shortage on opportunities at Belmont.
I’m working towards multiple scholarships because I’m already on one but it ends next year and I want To transfer I was suppose to attend Belmont first but took to long to follow up with my admissions Lol this is an option for sure
Hey girl! I'll be a senior at Belmont in the fall as well, and I was curious to hear your thoughts! I agree with SO much of this - definitely not a perfect school, but I couldn't imagine being anywhere else :) good luck with your final year!
I don't think so. You are required to attend some faith-based convocation programs, but there isn't really anyone trying to shove faith into your face if that makes sense.
Do you feel that the religious aspect is too strict sometimes? I was in Christian school for 8 years and I left it bc I decided to make my faith my own, and I was relying too much on the school to develop my faith
There are definitely plenty of people that attend Belmont who are not Christian! You do have to attend some faith-based convocation events, but that's all I would say is "required." So no- I wouldn't say that it's too strict, but that is coming from someone who agrees with all of the policies haha

+Meredith Grace cough cough, Edley's.
I know this was 6 years ago but how was the student life, like was there any partying or was it more focused on careers and studying?
It’s crazy to think you’re a senior now!! I really wish you would come back to YT . You’re so close to 100k
I've always loved Belmont and I actually gave myself a tour of the campus over christmas break and it was truly beautiful. Also, being that it's in Nashville was a huge plus for me. oh my gosh me too!! i was super interested but they didn’t have speech path :(

Belmont had such a pretty campus and it was in my top choices for college!
Yes isn't it so beautiful?! :)
Where did you end up going!
I currently plan on attending Belmont this fall and this video definitely helped! Thank you! :)
Ah congrats!! Glad this was helpful :)
Hopefully I’ll be at Belmont for the 2020-2021 school year!!
I just got accepted to Belmont for the 2020-2021 school year! What about you my dude????
Visited Belmont this summer, not really expecting anything special but as soon as we started the campus tour I knew I loved and want to call it home (hopefully) next year!! Just sent in my application and I'm so excited!!!!
I love but why don’t you upload anymore? I’m a loyal subscriber but I’m wondering where your videos have been.
Miss you Meredith
I’m from Tennessee and toured and got accepted last year but decided on somewhere else. It’s such a beautiful place. Plus I love Nashville
I will be a freshman at Belmont this coming fall and all these videos have been super helpful! Hope to see you around campus!
Oh how exciting!!! Yes- I will see you in August! :)
i’m looking into possibly majoring in music education there--- everyone seems to mention music business and commercial voice and stuff but i haven't really heard anything about music ed, do you know anything about music ed at belmont??? thank you!

I'm interested in this same answer
I’ll be an incoming freshman this year and I know you have to take I think 2 religion classes, but you don’t have to attend a church service or anything.
@@kileymcdonnel6705 Hi, do you know if music majors are required to take them?
Sebastian Benz yes, it’s a Belmont requirement, so you have to take religion classes. My roommate is taking one this year and said the teacher is really chill if that helps😂
not really, you have to take 2 religious classes throughout your 4 years but they’re really chill and don’t force you to believe anything
I love this, it sounds like a great time. Thank you for putting this out there!
I just committed about three weeks ago!! Can’t wait to go to school here :)
NO WAY! CONGRATS!!! You're going to love it :)
Such a nice young lady, wishing you much success in your future endeavors.
Post another video please
Do you have to be religious to go to Belmont? I really want to study music and preforming at Belmont.
Thank you so much for this video! I'll be a freshman at Belmont in the fall and I can't wait!!
I loved this video! I'm a college student from Philly, but have been hoping to transfer to a school in Nashville soon, so this was super helpful!!
Oh so cool!! Nashville is so great, as I'm sure you know :) Good luck with the transfer process, and definitely let me know if you have any more questions!
This was so helpful! I’m so stressed with college apps lol. Love you!💕
I'm so glad to hear that!! Well, that this was helpful haha not that you are stressed! Good luck deciding :)
where have you gone? You never post anymore!
Girl!! You're so pretty!!
Thank you Zoe!!
You're welcome!

Hey Meredith I heard Belmont is the best music school in the country. I wanna major in audio engineering can Belmont help with that?
These are helpful things but as a college freshmen I do not think you believe you know if your college is good unless you go there. I visited Belmont and chose not to go because of the price and not enough scholarship money there but I love Nashville.
I think you're right!! Sometimes you just have to take your chances and go somewhere without fully knowing if it's the right place! That's what I did, and luckily it worked out :)
I go to a christian private university too and all that you said is so similar to my school.Loved the video.
So cool!!
watched this as an alum
question, is it a more hands on or theoretical learning method?
You might not see this, but thank you✨
If you do a Q&A about Belmont, What is the admissions process like? and what are the dorms like?
Hey Meredith! I was wondering this because I have heard from some people that Belmont is not a very authentically christian school? Im not sure if that's true at all, I just wanted to ask what your thoughts were about it because I am a bit interested in the school.

I hope that answered your question!
How come you are not doing Christmas videos? Or actually any videos?
Thanks for this video. I’m going to be a senior in the fall and definitely plan on applying to Belmont. This video was very helpful. Hopefully, if I can afford it, I will be attending in the fall of 2018.
How long after applying did you receive a decision?
I want to study Acting/Theater at Belmont. My question is, do they do performances on Saturdays and also, what day of the week are graduations generally?

As of now, I don't think so!
I miss you and your videos and I hope you come back to RUclips one day.

Thanks for the vid! I’m gonna visit Belmont soon so this helped my decision.
idk if you will see this b/c this video wasn't posted very recently but I was wondering if there are any gyms nearby the campus:)
Ali Buchanan I live in Nashville and there are gyms all over the entire town so I’d assume that there is a lot near by!
I’m working towards multiple scholarships because I’m already on one but it ends next year and I want To transfer I was suppose to attend Belmont first but took to long to follow up with my admissions Lol this is an option for sure

Thanks for making this, it was really helpful! Was just wondering, are there a lot of parties? What are some things that people do for fun?
Belmont has the cutest campus, plus it's great that it's in Nashville! So much to do there!!
Right?! We're seriously in the perfect spot!
Hello, do you know how an international student can get a scholarship in Belmont?
since it’s a christian school are most people christian? everyone?
Are you originally from Tennessee? If so which part?
Nope- I'm from Birmingham, AL :)
First !! ♥️💖💖💓💖🌸😍😘 Love you 😇
I will be a freshmen this incoming year!
Would it be difficult being an atheist attending Belmont?
I don't think so. You are required to attend some faith-based convocation programs, but there isn't really anyone trying to shove faith into your face if that makes sense.
We post such similar videos! Loved this one ❤️
“The library needs a facelift” hahaha
