He always gave people an exaggerated "stink eye" that made it look like he was pretending to be a pirate when he was angry with someone, and when he got what I was saying, he did exactly that... so in response, I did something that I should have gotten in trouble for... I said, in front of everyone else there, "Yarrr! Ye be walkin the plank! YARRR!" and you could hear the whole room go dead quiet, both because they were trying not to laugh, and because everyone knew doing pirate impersonations in front of Chief (formerly Master Chief) Rich, made him absolutely furious.
