Hey Jordan. Just want to say thank you for all the videos you post. I'm starting my business, and have two clients signed up now. I seem to always end up watching one of your videos when I get curious and need an answer for something and they always provide value. Thanks so much.
loving the energy again jordan! makes the video more entertaining to watch and im never bored watching it. Great information and helpful as always!! loving the intro btw man 💪🏼
You spoke of exactly what I’m doing and going through at this moment I’m guilty of all of that shit lol. Great vid, gonna check out some of the others you got
The only thing I would say about having a website is that it's more relevant to those who do not want a bricks and mortar office front. Surely a website gives a potential client some assurance that you're real and serious about whether you're a scammer when you make that cold call.
good point, maybe integrity was the wrong word but it just reassures the potential client that you're real and your personal website does that regardless of what you're offering them. All good.
This was exactly the video I needed to see. Am guilty of what you spoke about: focusing on the website, logo, business card, name, etc before any actual sales. Great inspiration! Although, I have to say there are some points that I don't agree with. I.e. your business name. How you name your business is VERY important for how others will perceive it. Studies have been done on this. Kids with weird names were much more likely to be bullied in school than kids with common names. You can read about the importance of your product/business name in the book "positioning" by Al Ries. Highly recommended book for any marketer by the way. But overal great content!! You got a new sub :)
Hey man! I'm glad you enjoyed the video! Hmmm, it's your service and your product that speaks, not your name! SMMA is mainly an outbound service so your clients arent likely to even know your company name before you sign them. I certainly don't disagree with what you're saying though! It also completely depends on whether you put yourself in category 1 or 2! Glad to hear you've subbed :)
Jordan Platten True, but I believe you said the name is not that important regardless of in which category you identify yourself. It really is. You are right that it is less important as a sort of freelancer. But if there is any ambition to grow the business and make it scalable from day 1, the name actually really matters. For example, Zyniq Marketing will be perceived as much less competent - perhaps even sort of weird - than a business called i.e. Blue Sky Marketing. Al Ries and Jack Trout talk about this in the classic that I just mentioned. Must read!
@@SebastiaanVaz Just remember - your client's do not care about your business name. I would just recommend you keep it simple, broad and easy to remember
I definitely do think these things are important before you start prospecting for 2 reasons. 1) when cold out reaching to potential clients first impressions matter, if you have a professional website, logo etc you are 10 times more likely to get them interested in your services. I always leave my website address at the bottom of the cold email, it’s a chance to demonstrate the benefits of my service and why they should consider partnering with me. 2) if you’re just starting out and don’t have any experience having a website etc can be a great confidence booster that you do have a legit thing going on and you can make this work.
Hey Jordan. Did you say your website is based on your personal name, you have more than one business or streams of income? So, do you recommend a personal brand if someone wants to build a website that specializes on different unrelated niches?
So I fit the description of what you described (domain, wanted to get cards). So when attempting to land clients what is the dialog when they ask what have you done? Let's see your work? I feel without that, they'd be like you're charging what??
Well Jordan I do not really understand how you would be able to aqcuire clients when you do not even habe a company name or anythings to show as refrence. Wouldn't it be more logical to build up webside, etc first?
Hey Jordan, thanks for all your videos and your really good content. One question - what did you say, to your first clients, as you just started, with no Testimonials or Case Studies? Mostly the Businessowner want to see somethink before, aren´t they? I just starting again, to get Clients for my smma. I know how to cold call and what to say and what dont at a meeting. I know how to create good FB Ads, How to create a Landing Page or how to set up a chat bot. But the businessowner don´t. I know its all about trust. if i would be honest and tell him or her, "your my first client" - the businessowner might get afraid... I have my first meeting again, next week. Its a nice restaurant chain, with over 30 Restaurants in Germany. Do you have any advise? I´d love to get an answer. Thank you man. Best regards from Germany
@@JordanPlatten I´ve seen it a few minutes after i asked the question. Thank you man :) I have another question. I'm considering buying your course. In your webinar / video "getting your first client?" Are you going through the contents of the course? Ad strategies of various shops are included. But only for 2 months. Will I learn more strategies in the further cooperation? I would like to keep my clients for more than 2 months. Tanks for answering!

I think it depends if you're growing a personal brand or not - I've never been questioned on my integrity.

I agree with you Del! For online businesses, it would help you to have a site if you weren't growing a personal brand.
This is some of the best free advice online Jordan
Thank you Matthew!!

If we are approaching ecom brands is it necessary to have a website?
Haha, sweating on a 26 degree day. I’m in Sydney where it’s still winter, and it was 27 today....
Damn.... I don't envy you! I will in the winter though... always debated emigrating to Aus in the English winter.

Jared Weinkauf I also want to know
I wanna know to. Asap

If your personal Brand is strong enough you don't really need a company website.
hold on what kind o transplant did you have ?
Thank you bro
