- Today we check out the Eastwood Gladius Work Light. Out of the box seems like a decent enough work light. I forgot to mention that all the pictures I showed were at that 1/4 to 1/3 turn on the dial. My guess is you’d be able to get at least an 8 hour day out of it without recharging.

Cover the magnets in painters tape. They always get covered in rust and little metal bits which can scratch surfaces and be a PITA to clean off. W the painters tape, you can see the metal bits easier, and clean them off easier.
I like how authentic this video is. No script or chat GPT. Heckin love it
He's a cool uncle we never had
@barrelsynapse You poor fools! Can't you tell he's just a hot chick using Chinese CGI? Guard your virtue against such a succubus...
What you cant say fuck? Tf is heckin
I am in fact entertained.
The thumbnail made me think this was one of those lightsaber reviews 😂
I read it as cqb 😂
LoL 😝
I'd like to see that
He is also holding it by the 'lazer' part 😳
Got a good chuckle out of the outtakes. Thanks.
That would be pretty handy. Ain't gonna lie, I'm a sucker when it comes to cool flashlights. Thanks for the info.
Love this guys reviews. Straight to the point no bs and cracks some good jokes. Makes it entertaining. Plus the shorts are hilarious
The Beacons are lit, Gondor calls for aid!!
COOL! A bloopers reel at the end.
If my brain stops working I might as well make entertainment out of it 😜
@@FunkFPVNice to know that brain farts are more common than we want to admit.
I use Head torches that take 18650 cells, You can swap them out in seconds. Fully charged they last all day.
Way too chunky. The night buddies are the way to go. Way lighter, more comfortable, and no big chunky battery. They come cheap in 2 packs so can always have one charged when the other dies. And the area it lights up is amazing, super bright, wide beam, and also has an option for more direct beam.
@@jacksmith2315On the one I have with those big lithium batteries, the battery pack has a belt clip and a long cord, meaning the head lamp itself is fairly light.
@@jacksmith2315 nitecore hc65 or hc68
they aren't much bigger than the cell itself.
Im familiar with them. For me, its just too bulky. Im not a fam of head lamos as it is. The nite buddy or whatever is really the only one i like, and they ones that are the same just rebranded. They are inexpensive, really slim, really bright, wide spectrum, comfortable, light weight, and really next to nothing to them. The really slim is huge for me because im always in really tight spaces so anything thats even a little bulky doesnt work for me. Plus you can get a 2 pack for like $10-20 depending where you get it from, and they are usb c
Me likely. Eastwood makes some good stuff.
Eastwood makes great stuff.
I just have a Coast XPH30R headlamp. works amazing, has for years. usb c rechargable.
I highly recommend the Snap-on NECK LIGHT Hands-Free, I think they even have one where each light is removable. You could probably find another brand for cheaper with basically the same thing. It’s served me well, and I’ve even paired it with a headlamp so I look right out of the movie ET. Thanks for the heads up on this one Mr. Funk!
I still have my incandescent work light. Still the best work light I ever had. Only reason I don't use it is currently is where I'm located at now I wouod need 100ft of cord to get to my work area and I'm getting too old to want to string out power cords for a limited use
"Doctors mirror"
That's my autism fix for light
Look, my friend, I've laughed at your shorts, rate your toe, stubby's woodworking class, magic pliers, pointing out fraud with comical flair. However, your Williams Tools expose prompted me to get the deluxe set for my son, who is a mechanical engineer a year out of school. And the Meyhew prybars based on your insight. But even with your frugal advice, I cannot buy every tool you recommend. I wouldn't care if you pointed a light at the wall and did shadow puppetry with our hands while laughing maniacally, I still love what you do and all you have given us.
Thanks bud. I really appreciate it 😎👍🏻
Please continue to have bloopers at the end😂😂😂 of the
Bloopers addition is a nice. It’s hard to get it right first ,second, or even third time.
7th 🤦🏻♂️😜
Incandescent lightbulb? You Sir were spoilt! Back in my day we had to make do we a good sense of touch.
The flexy magnet ends remind me of the old Snakelight which kind of worked but tended to slide around once you wrapped it around whatever you used to mount it to. I always wished there was a hook on the non-lit end so you could hang it up if there was nothing handy to wrap it around.
Those flexy ends could use hooks too imo (just in case the manufacturer watches reviews like this) in cases there just isn’t a steel surface handy and the existing hooks aren’t placed right for. I mean you could use a bungee to attach it to say a 2x4 but every time I need to do something like that all my bungees are busy holding something else down. Could just dedicate a bungee to it and wrap it around the light. It wouldn’t really get in the way.
Sucks down the juice like a Cyber truck! 🤣
That does look like a decent light for the price.
Seems that it makes a good fidget toy, too! LOL Thanks for the video!
I had to remind myself not to play with it too much when I was recording this 😊
50 bucks sounds decent.
I’d keep an eye on the switch sticking out if it gets placed face down.
Dude, more bloopers please🫡🤣
You can tell when I need a nap by the number of outtakes 😜
Nice one take video!
I’m the One Take Kid. On need for editing 😎😜
I have 5 flashlights because I work at night. I mainly use two, but I lost one for a couple weeks, it fell down under my mower trailer.
When I was a boy, a drop light with an incandescent bulb got dropped, broke, and burned down the biggest Chevy dealer in the state! Hooray for the modern LED age!
DeWalt makes the best light ever!
Which one? Maybe I’ll check it out.
@@FunkFPV It's a DCL050. Best light I ever had for working on stuff. The trigger controls the brightness. The head has multi positions and it has a hook for hanging.
You won't be disappointed!
Not bad at all. Needs a durability test
“Sucks down batteries like a cyber truck towing it’s capacity load” 😂😂
I have a cat forklift that will not stay running below 60 degree weather starts and dies until warmed up any ideas?
Probably a fuel problem if the a LP truck. Normally a new regulator will fix it but give the rest of the fuel system a good cleaning too.
I really like the form factor of my little Milwaukee light, but you nailed it on the battery life. Major fail there. I like the basic looks of this but it's just too damn big for my carry bag. Make it about 1/3 the size and keep the battery life up there and I'd be in.
Hey Wes ..what is the run time on the batteries?
2-15 hours depending on how far you turn the dial.
@@FunkFPV thanks Wes !
Nice thumbnail bro!!!😂😂😂
Sweet thumbnail!🤣🤣
Humm... I bought 2 very similar work lights from ALDI for AUD $29.95 roughtly US $20. And the 2 worklites can clip together to make a 1metre long work light. mgnetic etc etrc works brilliantly , only con , can't just lay it down on the concrete and use it , they roll over all the time
Sup!
😎👍🏻
Nice Toyota commercial...jk
Cool vid. Product has good use, especially as a baton to ward off annoying coworkers.
I got a hammer for that 😜
Are those 4Y motors?
You seem to have very little fpv content, considering the profile picture AND name.
Yeah, no one watches that stuff
Gladius Maximus??
On the mah rating ive always been confused because the native voltage is 3.7~ but charging voltage is 5 so at 3500 mah at 5v gives 17.5 watt hrs and then divide by native of 3.7 to get 4730 mah. Is this right or wrong??? It always confuses me. And is your tester thingy already compensating for the voltage difference if any.
The only correct way to test a battery’s actual capacity is to remove it, fully charge it and then discharge it. Whatever power you get out of it is the actual number.
Things like temperature and the battery protection circuitry can skew the numbers when it’s in whatever you’re testing. I’ve checked the same battery 3 times in something and got +/- 500 mah. each time.
If it’s in the ballpark of what they claim I’ll call it close enough.
@@FunkFPV cool. Thanks for the info.👍
I have COB LED's on my big ole x-class quadcopter... They're so bright I have to be careful not to look directly at them else they'll burn my corneas.🙁
You should put LEDs on the rotor blades. That’s really cool 😎
@@FunkFPV thing swings 13" props and is already scary enough..🥴
Dare to join a drinking game?
Trigger words are "As far as ...... goes"
disapointed I didn't get to see you kill a sith with it... or barbarian
Don't buy the icon light. It has a mind of its own and you'll blind yourself six ways from Sunday.
A light is always pointed at your eyes and no matter what order you think you left it in, the one that's pointing at your eyes is the one that's gonna turn on
You don't need to do the beeping color screens between each outtake
nice lotr helmet nerd
Hey Funk, are the hooks metal or plastic.
I like these tool reviews by the way. You ever watch those guys that seem to know what they’re talking about. But then you catch a look at their boots, and they look clean and brand new. That irritates me, and I don’t feel like I can trust anything that comes out of their mouth.
You on the other hand probably have some steel exposed on one toe, they’re dirty, scuffed, and smell like the beast.
What I’m trying to say is I can trust your judgment.
But a “TACOMA”?!? Really?!?😂
Haha I drive that 5500 all week. That Tacoma feels like a race car in comparison 😜
The hooks are plastic. They seem good enough for what they need to do 🤷🏻♂️
