Ya’ll my hanger in the back sticking up is driving me crazy lmaoooo! So my bad I just noticed the damn thing. Anywayssss We’re covering a scam today that we’ve never talked about!! What do you guys think. Also I am flying out tomorrow to go see Deanna Mims!!! I can't waittt! Also here's the link to my sweater! go.magik.ly/ml/1p4rh/
I live on a military base and the base used to do craft fairs twice a month but they had to stop doing them because over 3/4th of the booths were an MLM. It’s disgusting, especially because these moms target military spouses so hard, and it really just hurts people who actually own a small business
This is the case at alot of small town trade/craft shows, there's almost half of the sellers as mlms and not actual crafts. Not as bad but it's annoying
Okay this is so crazy because I do local Farmers Markets and I ran into a lady who commented on my long hair and wanted me to see her booth. She said that my claw clip was damaging to my hair and that her ‘homemade’ clips were way better. Being the nice person I am I walked over with her and she had THREE SIX FOOT tables FULL. Absolutely full of these clips. She took out my clip and just started to throw these clips in. While they were comfortable it was strange. I had asked her how she started making them (thinking they were homemade, and she didn’t mention the name of the company) She said she was in ‘Direct Selling’ and I immediately knew. She also sold Diamond Painting which makes me wonder if she’s in an MLM for that too. So sad that MLM’s get in these Farmers Markets. It feels like it soils what the rest of us do. Thank you for bringing awareness to this one!
omg i was at a antique festival and experienced something similar although they were as forceful. i ended up buying one of the clips as they’re good quality and i had no idea. i figured they were a small business as i was only focused on their product.
Mlms are taking over everything. Craft fairs to farmers markets. My town has a building dedicated to small businesses to sell and grow through the 2 week duration of the country fair and it was almost entirely taken over by mlms.
I'm so glad I'm not alone here, I was at a local market called "Victorian Christmas" or something of the like... absolutely got fooled because I think she had some real handmade stuff mixed in? Maybe? 😞
@@JF-gy7tt More junk... i wouldn't say that. My mom's doing them as a hobby and it's really fun ! She gave me a few to decor my place. Nothing to do with MLM. It's just like number painting with little plastic diamond.
I love that you mentioned about not going to trade shows while being in an MLM. My mom and stepdad own a small business and setup at a lot of trade shows. It drives me crazy to see an MLM company there. They’re the worst for trying to push their product. I also make wreaths, flower arrangements and things like that and appreciate seeing people like me and other small businesses putting the work in by going to trade shows. I know how much hard work there is going into it. Great video!❤
I do craft shows too. I make jams and jellies and once i had people with those massage guns (I don’t know if they’re an mlm or not but it’s similar behavior) they were literally chasing off my potential customers trying to make them try the thing and they were skyrocketing the prices (selling them for 300 dollars, saying they’re normally 800, when in reality they’re like 80 on Amazon) and just scamming old people and pulling them from my tables and chasing them away from me 😩
@@Classic_Kadance yes, that’s drives me crazy! They chase people away because they’re being so pushy about it. Some of the hair tool people do the same thing. One time, I let them straighten my whole head then told them I wasn’t interested. 😂 They wouldn’t stop asking after I told them no, so I let them waste their own time. 🤷🏻♀️
First Impression - A non-MLM hair clip business could definitely be viable, even if they don't sell anything proprietary. Goody sells nothing but hair accessories (and brushes) and they've been around for ages. For an actual small business, something like a cute lil' mall stand, a farmer's market table, or a handmade/3D printed Etsy store. But I'd expect a new business to be more targeted towards one thing - like trendy hair clips, hair clips for sport, fine hair clips for special occasions - whereas Lilla Rose seems to be doing everything all at once.
Goody attempted to sell these when the CEO first designed them. No one would purchase on the shelves because they didn't know how it works. Direct Sales allows for demonstration.
@@RadiantwithJoythat's what I was going to say. These clips really need demonstration. I bought mine at an outdoor farmer's market. I would've never bought it if I saw it at CVS or Walmart. I've bought many different hair accessories over the years at CVS, Walmart, etc. If it's a bit complicated to use it just doesn't work without a hands-on tutorial. That's why Lilla Rose worked for me cuz the gal showed me how to use it. That's easier than trying to find a RUclips tutorial on some random clip I bought at Walmart. I didn't know until watching this video that Lilla Rose is an MLM. It seems the people I've come across that sell them only do the selling part, not the recruiting part. I've never been approached about "the business opportunity." They just sell the clips & that's it. 30% commission seems to be enough that a seller only needs to do that to easily make some extra money.
@@floraleia It's actually not a new business. Lilla Rose has been around for quite some time; I first heard about the Flexi clip (then called Flexi-8) around 2008. That was their first product and it still seems to be the top seller. I've never been affiliated with the company in any way so I don't know for sure, but it always seemed to me that everything else in the line (especially the haircare products) was hastily added to try to flesh it out. You know, so their "consultants" would have something to sell besides just one kind of clip. Anyway, the good news is that they're no longer an MLM.
My favorite hair clip of all time is a figure-eight thing made with piano wire, so of course I ran to the bathroom to check it. Sure enough, LillaRose. I do not like mlm's, but I gotta say...this is the best hair accessory I have ever owned.
These guys have been around forever! The flexi 8 hair clips are actually really popular in the long hair community, I think I even own one from when my hair was waist length. Theyre actually really nice hair clips and good for the hair - makes me sad that theyre a MLM.
Those clips have been around forever actually! When I was a kid in the early 90s, my mother wore them all the time. They can be found in leather a lot of times.
"the long hair community"... do u mean,,,, people with long hair?? they've been popular for people with long hair, that's what u meant, sayin long hair community is weird because people with long hair arent a monolith or a community lmao
Hmm, now that I think about it yea, it does sound a lot like Claires/Icing. If you want what that MLM (Lilla Rose) sells, just go there instead, or anywhere else that sells fancy hairclips. Make your own even, just get the base clip of the style you want from the store and get the rest of the supplies from a craft store. Also hair stuff sections in drug stores, I think even certain locations of CVS have a display for Claire's in it (there's a shopping center with a CVS/Longs Drugs [fortunately CVS let the local Longs chain keep their name], the last time I checked, had/has a Claire's spinning display and a pegboard display in it). lol If you want anything just go and give the places in the mall business. Support anything that isn't an MLM plagiarizing other businesses ideas. Help all businesses pay their rent in a commercial space whether they're small, medium, or large, just as another comment stated 'we are refusing to feed a zombie', which are most likely 80-90% MLMs/Pyramid Schemes. I guess 'refusing to feed a zombie' also applies to business owners as well, like if the business is dead or on life support, just stop don't feed any more time or money in it. We 'refuse to feed zombies' by voting with our wallets and our common sense (aka brains).
Amen to not going to trade shows. We had a booth for my bakery and the booth directly across from us screamed “DO YOU WANT A FREE AIR PURIFIER” at everyone that walked past I immediately said ew those are some mlm vibes so I did some research and yup they were. Two whole days of listening to them yell, I was going crazy. It drove down business because people would run from them and not even turn their head to look at the tables on the other side
I have such bad adhd and most RUclipsrs cannot hold my attention; this is my first video of yours and it’s awesome! I did not get bored once listening to you! The way you talk is perfect I’m definitely subbing
The good news is that, as of 2024, Lilla Rose no longer an MLM! 🥳 They switched to an affiliate/wholesale model. So people can choose to buy from the website using an affiliate's URL, but there are no up/downlines. I'm so glad because I always wanted to try the Flexi clips, but didn't want to support an MLM... even one that was supposedly not as pushy and predatory as many others. I personally really like them, especially the Flexi Sport, but do wait for a sale because they're definitely overpriced.
“wE’rE nOt LiKe oThEr DiReCt SaLeS cOmPaNiEs” 🙄 if I had $1 for every time I’ve heard that from someone in one of these companies, I could pay all the huns more money than they’re making in their MLMs!
Ok, I got a hair clip second hand from them on poshmark or something. I hate to say it, I've had it for years and it's awesome. I'd like to find one in that type of design not related to them. They aren't just Claire's crap clips, they actually hold up my entire hair in a twist without getting caught, falling out of, or breaking my hair. I hate mlms and they are really over priced despite the quality.
As a small business that makes their living at craft fairs and vendor events I can't stand seeing MLM's there. Especially when I ask the event coordinator if it was a 100% handmade event and they say yes but I'm across from a paparazzi vendor with my handmade not $5 jewelry........
i just wanna let you know that youve started popping up all over my recommended!! im glad your message is getting out there and to see the youtube algorithm pushing even more anti mlm content!
Nooooo! This lady I bought from at a craft expo was making hair clips out of piano strings and I bought one, now I'm looking at it and it's from this 😭 they really snagged actual gifted crafters into their stupid scam I can't-
The trade show comment got me. I have an at home baking business in New York. I do craft fairs all the time. every craft fair I do allows M&Ms usually. Typically it’s a limit of one per company but I see them and I’m like OK why. I’ve even had to like let my dad or whoever know when they go to the craft fair is like these are those companies like don’t buy anything.
I had no idea they were an mlm. I bought a few of these when I was in high school and they did a really good job holding my hair back. I honestly still like and use them. I didn’t go through a rep so I never would have guessed
I’ve been seeing your videos on my recommended for DAYS and then just realized your view count is so low in comparison to the bigger accounts I watch and just had to click. I’m here to support!!! I’ve never had a smaller creator on my recommended and i’m so excited to find you! you go girl 🥳🥳 keep growing. you’ve got this 💗💗
NuSkin Enterprises!!! My dad worked IT for them and NO ONE in my family knew about the MLM sales structure. Not even my dad! Ever since figuring out it was I've been dying to see a deep dive on it. I know it's not super common, but it'd be cool. And surprise, surprise: it's based in Provo, UT
I know I’m going to get some haters. But I have to say, I sell Lilla Rose and my customers do support me! I make 30% off the top of every sale. They really are quality clips that will last years. My husband is disabled and I’m using Lilla Rose as a second income source to keep our heads above water financially. I do understand why people are sceptical, but I’m not spending any money to be a part of this company. I invested $50 during a special, got several accessories and a website in return. I’m not trying to recruit anyone. I mean I’d make more money if I did. But I feel like base commission of 30% on every dollar isn’t bad. Last month I earned 45% because of the sales they were running.
I'm a stylist with them. They are an amazing supportive group. Back story. The owner John started this company in his garage wanting to make something for his wife. Lilla Rose are the names of his daughters. I've been in another MLM and Lilla Rose is nothing like the others. Lilla rose isn't pushing and saggy about selling or having generated messages to send out to people though DM. Lilla Rose is a great company and they have great product.
I buy these hair clips. They are truly unique in design. They come in multiple sizes so I can get ones that work great with my baby fine hair. I hate mlms but I haven’t found anything like the flexi clips elsewhere.
I love wearing my hair up and I have an addiction to cute hair clips, ponytail holders etc. If this company was in Australia and I didn't know about MLM, I would have been sorely tempted.
Omg! Thank you for what you said about trade shows!! I made a whole bunch of stuff one year for one and over half the vendors ended up being mlm stuff and it was insulting and miserable. I gave up on shows after that because I live in the heart of the Bible Belt and everyone is one or another and that’s most of the time 75% of who had booths. Erika
13:49 I make handmade gifts, curated gift baskets and customized items and as an actual small business owner I get so angry when I go to an event and I look around and see more MLM Hons than I do actual small business owners. Soooo irritating 😠
Glad you mentioned the trade show thing. So i want to a home improvement/ craft expo. They amount of mlm crap was astounding. There was scentsy then then there was whatever the one that is stick on nails- and Tupperware. All off these next to hvac companies or actual nice craft/small businesses. It was icky
Notice let's lilla rather than lila. The two Ls I think affect the pronunciation. Really the only reason I pointed that out was to help other people in searching for information about the business. I'm trying to find whatever business he was successful in before starting this one but so far I've had no luck. Everything just says he and his wife have been in the hair goods business since 1992
I was fascinated to see this one because I love your exposures of MLMs and I actually have some hair clips from this one, bought long ago on eBay! They're pretty, they don't damage your hair and I'd definitely say they're a step up quality wise from Paparazzi jewellery, but there's no way they're worth getting involved in an MLM business model for.
I went to a Christmas market today and there was a lilla rose vendor… he was so nice and even put one in my hair to try out. I got mlm vibes from the start and I felt so bad for him but good lord it was so expensive
It's me again, I've been bingeing your MLM videos! :) So one of my main jewelry pieces that I make are hair sticks and pins. I'm also a reenactor and my husband's business is beard and hair care products. We have started selling historical haircare kits and they're super popular, but I run into a LOT of people who have tried these hair pins and they won't even let me show them how to use good quality products because these didn't work for their hair. As always, it's sad and infuriating that these companies exist and that customers can't tell the difference between mass produced trash and handmade pieces that actually work. Also, on the trade show topic, if an event contacts us about vending and I see any MLMs on their vendor list, I just tell them I'm not interested. I do see it as incredibly disrespectful that they call themselves a "small business". We also have events where people like this who are just reselling cheap crap from wish describe themselves as "artisans" and I'm not sure which ones are more disrespectful.
I don't sell this product, but I love it. I've spent $200 in the last 3 months. You can't buy this clip anywhere else. I've looked. And it makes doing my short, medium hair super easy to do. Especially styles I couldn't do with the normal claw clips or alligator clips because they are too thick. I don't know about the business end, but I love the product and it seems others do as well.
oh i messaged you about this!!! said they sounded like lularoe to!!! i wonder how many people sent the same message unless you found it yourself 😂 will watch later!! ❤️❤️❤️
Do they pronounce it Lih-la to make it sound more like LuLaRoe? He said "Lila Rose products," but I thought he said "LuLaRoe's products" for a second there.
Only just started watching some of your vids but have to say THANK YOU for the little bit about MLMs at shows because as an (actual) artist it drives me up a gd wall to see Paparazzi etc at the same places I vend at; it just makes me so angry thinking of how many others who could have used that spot :''')
I have some. They’re alright. They’re like beads strung on wire with a metal stick with a notch to secure it. I made better ones with supplies from Walmart bc I liked the idea 😂
I have my hair in dreadlocks. I have about 30 of their hair clips. For a person with thick hair that has a mind of it's own (my freeform locs are different sized and lengths) these clips are a god send. They are the only clip that does not bend or break when I use them, and I like having different clips for different moods/outfits, etc.. These are very well liked by Black women and mixed women (like me) for our thicker natural hair. One can go directly to the website and buy them. PS What you call your dog is not relevant. If you have a problem with a product or how it is marketed try to be more professional.
It's not famous in my country (yet) but I just looked it up and it is!! MLMs have always been around here (e.g. Just and Tupperware) but I honestly had NO IDEA of how they worked until I found the anti-mlm community online, unfortunately not everybody understands english and it's very hard to find information (at least from what I am seeing here)
@@irenesandron7530 yup same!! If it weren't for this kind of videos I would have probably been curious enough to at least try and purchase from them! I am so thankful! As for ringana, here in Spain they have some influencers partnered with them and are going big on events in different cities, trips for "their people", all inclusive free conventions etc etc. Pretty much herbalife style. I guess they aren't that famous yet for the regular people but you definitely start to see them more and more in social media and the first critics start to emerge, mainly about their product tho, people dont seem to have noticed the pyramidal scheme yet (which as I understand should be illegal here?). One more to run away from 😅
First impressions: I just dont get how this would be a viable business! everyone needs shampoo, everyone needs skincare. nobody *needs* hair clips, and only some people *want* them. and they're not consumables. they last until they break. only selling hair clips seems like ... how you gonna make a living doing that? it's hard enough to find people to buy shampoo. hair clips... idg how anyone could think it was a good thing to sign up for. if you're sellling something only a few people will buy you need to sell like 20 things only a few people will buy. something something statistics... you get it lol. there's a reason you don't see real businesses only selling one highly specific, low demand accessory
Eh, I'm not sure. As much as I wouldn't buy hair clips from here, I don't think that stops other (real) businesses from solely selling hair clips/accessories and doing well
I love all the metal figure eight clips, LOL. Have done some cheaper ones, and haven’t liked them as much. Never been asked to “join” though. Buy them off the website.
New to your channel, and I am really enjoying your content. I’m ashames to say that I actually LOVE their flexi clips. I’ve been using them for over a decade and the flexi clips really do last (I’ve had some for at least 5+ years). Never once got asked to sell them (thank god!) or had any interest to do so. But really, if anyone knows of a similar product that will hold up and that isn’t from an MLM, PLEASE let me. I normally bought mine from an actual brick and mortar small business owner who only sold them when she’s manning the shop. Edit: Now that I thought back, I first discovered the product at a community fair type event. Which totally tracks with what you’ve said in the video. Also the prices are definitely high.
Well so sorry that you disagree that is your choice who you do business with. I have several of these products and they are beautiful. I have wasted more money on cheap hair products from Walmart, Target, Kohls, and cheap dollar stores they continue to break and end up throwing them away. I simply would not buy anything else and that is simply my opinion and choice.
My mom bought a lot of Lila rose flexi clip things from her friend when I was younger and it’s just a hair stick on a barrette and they worked okay but not great on my hair bc it’s too fine and doesn’t have enough texture
I’m the opposite. I have like three of them from a decade ago, but I have thick hair that’s often in twists. I break most hair items but not these. I haven’t watched the vid yet, but I’m almost positive they weren’t an MLM then. Really sad to see this.
As someone who owns several Flexi-8 hairclips: the product is actually good! And I think they even own the patent to their hairclip with the beaded 8 fixed to a curved metal stick. I can put my tailbone lenght hair up in a sturdy bun that holds all day with their clips (but I could also do that with a pencil). Sadly, the quality went down and the prices went up in the last few years. Coupled with new rules regarding customs in my country (in Europe) I haven't bought anything from them for quite some time. And it'll stay that way if the continue on their quality downward trend. Their hairsticks where shit to begin with. Gotta say that. Everything besides the Flexi-8 clip you can get somewhere else for less.
I have a small business & at located in Utah. Which is the center of MLM. I hate seeing MLMs at pop up markets/ farmers markets. I know some MLMs have in their P&P that they can’t sell at these markets I know monat is one, so I find out who the vendor is and I report them to the MLM. I’ve now seen more market hosts put in their applications that they won’t accept MLMs. Which makes me so happy that there slowly excluding them from these markets. As they’re taking away from all these hard working hand made businesses. On another note, I have a friend who hosts markets & I helped Her host one & I told her that I would look for vendors but that I will not allow MLMs to participate. This older lady lied to us & she said she sold nail products. We assumed she made and sold press on nails. Once she came in to set up she had not only products from color street & she also sold farmasi so she was in two. We didn’t kick her out but we asked her to move her table since she paid for a specific space & ended up taking space away from one other real small business vendor. We were so upset.
For thousands of years better and similar products have been made from wood, bone, bakelite, bronze, silver, jade, ivory, semi-precious stones, 10K to 24K gold, twine, etc ... etc ..... These accessories aren't isn't just generically manufactured derivative "stuff", BUT designs can't even be called "retro" in their (translate what I mean here) 'Goodwill 1lb/$3' packaging. I don't know what else to say. When I look at a room full of women in these (promo video) clips, I see desperation and a need to belong. 😢🙊🤨💔🖤
They know how to exploit as many different products as MLM products. What will they think of next? Also, I loved your video on those tiktok crystal things. There are so many people buying from them so the more exposure the fewer people buy this crap. It's videos about scams like this that stop me buying online unless I know it's a trusted site with lots of positive reviews and good products or have a physical store in my country.
So like I make candles and beauty products, all handmade by me. I put a lot of thought into what goes into my products for skin sensitivity. So I've done a fair and have had friends over that have seen my products. So if I were to ask people do booths, or host in their homes, what makes the difference between mlms? Do mlm sign up people pay for their own booths, and have to buy all the products?
I used to be a part of the Usborne MLM and did a trade show to cover for my up line. I wasn’t interested in doing them. But I was shocked at how many other MLM booths were there! 😓 Anyways, I left the company shortly after that and now am fully aware of how toxic MLMs are! I just didn’t know at the time. 🤷🏻♀️
I had no idea this was an MLM. I got two from a vender show and honestly they are the best hair “clips” I’ve ever had. I haven’t seen this type of clip anywhere else and am planning on buying more. I do think they are overly pricy but knowing it is supposed to be an MLM makes sense. What is up with modern MLMs also doing “direct” sales online? I was entirely planning on just getting everything from their website till I realized I wanted to try some more sizes in person at the next vender show.
Isabella mention L'Oreal root cover-up spray, which I do like. I just wanted to share this comment but Discovery I made recently. I went to my local CVS and they were all out of L'Oreal. Then I saw "Gray Away" instant root cover-up. It was $3 & change cheaper, so I thought I give it a try. I love it:). I have medium brown hair, & their medium brown was perfect. What I liked the most was after brushing & it fully dried. My hair texture felt better than L'Oreal's. So when I went back I picked up Golden blond. Just to play around with it. I had gotten very thin strands of hair, not a lot, & sprayed it. It came out great. My friend thought I got some highlights done. I tried it with L'Oreal and it didn't come out great. The texture of my hair was different, so it look like I sprayed it on. ( otherwise, L'Oreal is still good for roots) Lol, just made this discovery this week so I had to share.😁✌️
im pentecostal apostolic and these are SUPER popular in our community! i bought one of those flexi clips last year at ladies conference. its nice but the paint(?) started to chip almost immediately and now looks super cheap. i wish i could include a picture to show you 😭
I hate MLM's. But their flexi clips, that were around from waaay since before they turned MLM, are unique, do not have any dupes, and are good quality. They're MLM and I hate it, and their bobby pins etc are not unique. But their main core product, the flexi's, are good and innovative and no matter how much I hate MLMs I don't agree with them being cookie cutter. I'll not buy them any more, but if wr're honest here and say "their business practice is predatory" then we also have to be honest and say that at least one of their products actually is not shit. No, not a hun. No, will not buy again. But also, will not throw out my clips. They serve me well.
I know this is old, and you probably mention this later in the video. But I definitely just bought these off a website, not through a person. So I'm now very curious about that and will have to come back to hear what that's about. Makes me sad they're mlm; I don't buy them much anymore, just because I have enough. They work well with my hair and I use them to hold folded braids.
Can you make a breakdown of how people in Scentsy make money. I'm unfamiliar with mlms but if Scentsy isn't one how are there so many women selling them at fairs and getting others to sign up to sell
Some of the things are cute but I’m not screaming I need them. It’s maybe a step up from Claire’s. My grandma does craft fairs and the amount of mlms there is disgusting.
How long has this one been around? I got a hairclip in this style (the metal bow style with the adjustable "pin") WAY back in the early 2000s from a Renaissance faire. I'll be honest, I have very thick hair and it worked really well for me.
Great videos! But they don’t look to wow you through the product they continually feed lies and pretend to be something they’re not on a higher level more often at least. They don’t mention the product until needed
2:05 my first impression: kinda cute hair accessories that were probably designed by a 45 year old, I would purchase one piece if it was homemade and at a holiday bazar, but I would struggle to find one that I wanted to spend money on and I would only be doing it because the lady who made them is really nice and we were having a conversation.
Honestly, I don't think anyone has purchased a product from an MLM that they really wanted or would have bought anyway. People involved in MLMs use this idea that they're a "small business owner" to make people feel obligated to support them by buying their products. But in an industry where most people lose money, all you're doing is supporting the abusive MLM, itself. But at the end of the day, the MLMs find their biggest customers in their own affiliates.
I feel like this company used to be BIG in the Christian homeschool modesty movement. All these aspiring tradwives and stay at home daughters used to promote them. Makes sense it's an MLM
The person I know that sells these fits the description, Allison. Proverbs 31 woman is supposed to contribute to her husband by doing a small business.
Safe travels, Isabella! 🥰
That's awesome 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻Have an amazing time!! 🎉🎉🎉
didnt notice the hanger till u pointed it out 😭
Omg, girl, I thought the SAME thing!
I live on a military base and the base used to do craft fairs twice a month but they had to stop doing them because over 3/4th of the booths were an MLM. It’s disgusting, especially because these moms target military spouses so hard, and it really just hurts people who actually own a small business
It’s really so sad that these target military moms
It’s so hard having to move around bases and looking for a community
This is the case at alot of small town trade/craft shows, there's almost half of the sellers as mlms and not actual crafts. Not as bad but it's annoying
"Lila Rose" sounds too much like "LuLuRoe"
Was thinking this too😂
Or Lia Sophia, the jewelry MLM that went belly up.
lila rose is my name wtf
I was thinking that the whole time too
Had the same thought.
Maybe? 😞
I just had to look up diamond painting….. more junk
Same because my mom makes beautiful handmade pottery but the trade shows she has to set up at also allow MLM reps...it's a strange world.
@@Ashlie287 yes it is. I can understand a festival or something but not trade shows.
They just keep customers from going to these markets too.
You're not killing a business because the business was already dead to begin with. You're simply refusing to feed a zombie
Well said!!!
Thank you!!!! There is nothing that makes me more angry than seeing a mlm at a craft show. When they compare their business to mine… oh no honey 🙅🏻♀️
‘Chunks’ is a perfect example of this! It’s a female-owned and super unique and sustainable hair clip company hahaha
Yeah but goody hair products are basically owned by Newell... As in Newell Rubbermaid.
@@vickislominski7618 I just got them and am liking them as well. Not to sell, but to use in my hair.
These guys have been around forever! The flexi 8 hair clips are actually really popular in the long hair community, I think I even own one from when my hair was waist length. Theyre actually really nice hair clips and good for the hair - makes me sad that theyre a MLM.
They are really nice clips, I am so disappointed that it's an MLM.
Yeah, I like them as well. The hair clips are really nice and long lasting, it's a shame it's an MLM.
@@lhvy5066 no, they mean the “long hair community forum”. It’s a forum called the LHC.
This feels like Claire's. Like scrolling through this page makes me feel like I'm looking at something marketed 10 years younger
YESS!!! My exact thought to! When I saw it my immediate thought was "oh, so they ripped off Claire's?" haha
Except Claire's doesn't give you a one-year warranty. Many Lilla Rose consultants will even replace after the one year mark if needed.
Absolutely hate seeing MLMs at trade shows!! The annual lawn and garden show in my city has been ruined by MLMs and other commission based companies 😒
"Different than anything else out there" 🤣🤣🤣 The cut to alibaba was perfect
😂😂😂😂
For real ! 😂
You would be an actual millionaire
@@ms.c9979 haha exactly!!
Same here...dang.
As a small business that makes their living at craft fairs and vendor events I can't stand seeing MLM's there. Especially when I ask the event coordinator if it was a 100% handmade event and they say yes but I'm across from a paparazzi vendor with my handmade not $5 jewelry........
Ughhh!!! I’m so sorry! I hate that vendor events have come to that
i just wanna let you know that youve started popping up all over my recommended!! im glad your message is getting out there and to see the youtube algorithm pushing even more anti mlm content!
I recently found your page and I am obsessed! I love your content, especially your MLM content! Thanks for everything you put out for us 💙
I can't agree more with this! She's amazing and her content is ALWAYS 🔥!
Nooooo! This lady I bought from at a craft expo was making hair clips out of piano strings and I bought one, now I'm looking at it and it's from this 😭 they really snagged actual gifted crafters into their stupid scam I can't-
"To join us, all you have to do is give us your money, happiness, sanity and integrity!"
And your first born added to your downline 😂
The trade show comment got me. I have an at home baking business in New York. I do craft fairs all the time. every craft fair I do allows M&Ms usually. Typically it’s a limit of one per company but I see them and I’m like OK why. I’ve even had to like let my dad or whoever know when they go to the craft fair is like these are those companies like don’t buy anything.
So frustrating!
I’ve never had a smaller creator on my recommended and i’m so excited to find you! you go girl 🥳🥳 keep growing. you’ve got this 💗💗
That’s how I felt when I saw her! I’m so glad she popped up on my page! I hope she grows too! She puts out a lot of content too
I only watch the smaller creators because they seem more genuine. It’s fun to watch them grow also. I like watching creators grow and thrive on here.
Illuminaughti has a good episode about them.
Heyyy. Just found your channel and I love watching people dig into crap like this so I subscribed. Thanks for exposing these things. 👍
I'm a Stylist as well. No different than an Avon Lady! I've done very well too with LillaRose! Walmart, Claire's and Amazon, pure junk!
Go girls! I love the flexi flips!
Please do not support these scam companies!
@@eighthdoctor they have a product I want . If you are stupid enough to fall for it and join oh well. It’s your lesson to learn.
Erika
That’s so sad!! I miss when trade shows were full of actual hand made things and legitimate businesses.
I'm sorry to hear that because I too live in the heart of the bible belt and know how that feels 🤣
As a small business owner who does craft fairs and markets, if I or any other small business looses a spot to a MLM? Id be pissed.
13:49 I make handmade gifts, curated gift baskets and customized items and as an actual small business owner I get so angry when I go to an event and I look around and see more MLM Hons than I do actual small business owners. Soooo irritating 😠
As a person with hip length hair, I really love their flexi-8s, as an anti MLM person, I buy them used. I really hate that they're an mlm
I like them to.
“What enticed him to do this?”…..I’ll take “What is wish wholesale for 5000 Isabella” 😂
By the way, Ulta carries keracolor so if you wanna try it, you don’t need to go through this MLM
Thanks for more calling out the MLM 🐂💩. Have a blessed Christmas season, Isabella. ❤️
Girl you look amazing😍 love your sweater
oh i messaged you about this!!! said they sounded like lularoe to!!! i wonder how many people sent the same message unless you found it yourself 😂 will watch later!! ❤️❤️❤️
Girl! That sweater!!! Gorgeous! ❤️🔥
"At Lila Rose, we give women and men the opportunity to start their own business" Oh good, I'm nonbinary so I'm safe!
John Dorsey created the flexi clip for his wife!
Do they pronounce it Lih-la to make it sound more like LuLaRoe? He said "Lila Rose products," but I thought he said "LuLaRoe's products" for a second there.
They've been around longer than Lularoe. So, I don't think so, but then again, who knows.
BTW...This sweater is SO pretty!! Thanks for sharing the link! 😉
You’re kidding me. My 5 year old daughter’s name is Lila Rose. I’m suing somebody. Tell your dog we say hi though!
LMFAOOOO I love that!!!! its such a cute name!!
omg it’s my name too!
that’s such a pretty name!!!
I wonder how many people will be turned off bc of how similar it sounds to LuLaRoe
Literally binged all your vids in one day 😭😭😂😂👌👌👌
Only just started watching some of your vids but have to say THANK YOU for the little bit about MLMs at shows because as an (actual) artist it drives me up a gd wall to see Paparazzi etc at the same places I vend at; it just makes me so angry thinking of how many others who could have used that spot :''')
Every time he said Lilla Rose it sounded like LuLaRoe
My first thought seeing the hair clips is: what’s the cadmium and lead content.?
after all the paparazzi clownery it’s impossible to NOT wonder
That was my first thought, too. Plus you can get stuff like that at the Dollar Tree (if you're not afraid of a little lead in your hair).
I'm sorry those products look cheap like you can get it at five below.
I think they're 100% overpriced
I have some. They’re alright. They’re like beads strung on wire with a metal stick with a notch to secure it. I made better ones with supplies from Walmart bc I liked the idea 😂
@@Pharm2be 😂
I have my hair in dreadlocks.
Thank you for your comment. You do not need to recruit someone to still do very well. I've been a Stylist for 2 years and Love it!
I buy them at the renaissance fair every year. I love them . They are so comfortable. I’m mad I’ve never been recruited lol
Recruitment is not necessary and may be helpful but not required.
Agree
Lilla rose is over 10 years old.
They don't recruit and there is not tree commission. It's only yourself.
First impression: they are actually cute, I would buy them if they were cheap in my currency (not knowing it was an mlm of course)
I'm gonna be honest I saw a pizza bobby pin and I wanted it because that's funny lollll
Ringana and their fresh natural products is becoming quite big in Europe now. I am convinced they are a mlm as well.
One more to run away from 😅
They are an MLM had a friend involved with them. Unfortunately they lost the starter kit money but got out of it soon after.
Pretty much proves that they wanted to start a pyramid scheme but needed to find a product to sell to not get shut down
Eh, I'm not sure.
Loving the new profile pic ♥️
First thought: "oh! Those are kinda cu-- oh my god was that one $22!??"
Why would you even support them lmao? There are so much better and higher quality clips literally ANYWHERE else.
All I could think during the video is "they're just hair clips!" Also it sounds like he's saying LulaRoe 😂😂
When you said ‘Lila Rose’ I was like I read that lee-la rose.
So at the beginning I slightly mispronounced it lolll! The opportunity video part I correct it because they state it there lolll
Omg! These guys were at our local renaissance fair this year! So glad I skipped over their booth.
Your style is extra fabulous today!
( otherwise, L'Oreal is still good for roots)
Lol, just made this discovery this week so I had to share.😁✌️
im pentecostal apostolic and these are SUPER popular in our community! i bought one of those flexi clips last year at ladies conference. its nice but the paint(?) started to chip almost immediately and now looks super cheap. i wish i could include a picture to show you 😭
Not gonna lie, sometimes I watch things on new mlms to keep an eye out at trade shows
It's a good strategy!
E-commerce wasn’t a thing in early 90’s so marketing was different back then.
12:24 He clearly called the company Lola Rose. Idk if that means anything but it sounds kinda weird lol.
Can you make a breakdown of how people in Scentsy make money. I'm unfamiliar with mlms but if Scentsy isn't one how are there so many women selling them at fairs and getting others to sign up to sell
How is this MLM still around? Like never heard of them and you can get this stuff from Claire's or Walmart 🤦 for way cheaper
Genuinely thought he was saying “Lularoe” - eerily similar
Isn't that interesting...
They legit put in writing we pay in hair clips. 🥴😅😅
I was cleaning when I started half listening and thought he was just mispronouncing Lula Roe 😂
I used to sell Lila Rose hair clips. I lost lots of money and still have a full gallon sized Ziploc full of them.
I'm a Megan Rose, My grandmother is Rose and my daughter is Kaleah Rose. They've ruined the name🌹 for online branding.
