Turned out really nice, the addition of the little decals made this model 'pop!'
Onwards to Bruce and see how you 'fin'ished that

It looks like everyone came back from Wonderfest with new opening credits ... Looks awesome and I love this build. I've been to the Titan complex and it was cool to see everything that was filmed in Star Trek. Keep up the great work. Cheers - Virgil

Nice job, I just finished 3D printing my Phoenix in 70% scale. I'm very happy with how all the parts are fitting together. It's a little smaller, but I'm limited in space for display so it works out perfectly for me. I was going to light up the main engine, but your right it's not on when going to warp. Thanks for all the tips I'm going to use many for my paint job.

Did you use the brass rods on the warp engine supprts noted in the instruction?. I don't think I need them on mine. The resin seems pretty strong.

I wonder why they included Bussard collectors on the Phoenix, in the story it only flies briefly near Earth. Why would they gather hydrogen with the Bussard collectors?

Lovely build, detailing the small parts really does make this model shine. I had been looking at the model on Cults3D before your build, but you have made me go and get the files and the Gunstar too.

Hey Phil, this is an incredible build, what a lovely painting scheme (just great washes) and perfect lighting effects system! And what a great plaque base dedicated to SprueVerse. A physical celebration of the great Star Trek First Contact movie subject matter. And what a wonderful tribute to the Pheonix creater John Eaves!

What an amazing result! And what an absolutely amazing details on that model. Kudos for the design work that went into digi-modelling this ship! You absolutely did an incredible job on building it and the amazing paint work.

I see just the right mix of lighting and finish. And the glam shots had a good lighting balance. I do like using the clear blue over a blue. Nice thinking. As for Space Station V-- well, a LOT of us have been waiting a LONG time for that-- which was never a sure thing to be kitted up.
Also-- I managed to get out to see that Titan II silo at the Pima Air Museum-- mind boggling what this country went through to maintain vigilance and readiness. Frightening. But when I saw it in the film, it was like seeing an old pal!

I have a Polar Lights NX-01 Enterprise I got nearly 20 years ago. I had started lighting it and put it aside, and now the LEDs I put in seem to be outdated. Not sure if I should start over on the lighting, or try to finish..

Entirely up to you. I would try to finish but if you are not feeling it don’t force the issue. Not worth your head space - if it isn’t fun move on! That’s OK!

I have printed a 3x scale version of the Phoenix and am following your trail of detailing. Given how big what I am building is; I am using rattle can painting for broad colors. Phil, have have wanted to make videos of my processes. I appreciate your ability to translate what's flowing around in your head 'out there' and will try to take baby steps to do the same.

About the Phoenix logo you mentioned, when I was part and color spotting the movie in the missle launch silo, I remember catching an edge of a yellow patch with what seemed to the tip of a bird wind. I am noodling around to see if I can make a Titan missle adapted body surround the can open or have posable flower pettles like seen in the movie.

Really nice build Phil - and very unusual. Unfortunately the preprinted version appears to be available in the US only. Not having a resin printer myself (I'm avoiding going down that rabbit hole!) means that I'm unlikely to build this one. Still, looking forward to the next build 😃👍
