This video is the one of my favorite so far. You two are so great together. I can feel the energy between you and her. I can watch you two dance all day😁
can some one help me. I love the way he dances am a beginner. he seems to get out of sinc with the 123 567 of salsa while still keeping the rydem. than he gets back into it.. do experts do this alot or did I miss counted
Joel Reyes good leads do this a lot. They get to a level where they are in complete control of the music/ timing that they can play with it, get off time to do their tricks/multiple spins and then get back on time at the next 8 counts. Beginners however shouldnt do this until you master your timing.
Joel Reyes (Thang Pham) is right. The longer you dance and the more comfortable you feel with the music, then you will be able to play with the music/timing and really explore musicality. This caveat about this, is this isn't something that can necessarily be taught. Some people have a better connection/feel for the music than others. Typically those that are musicians can tap into musicality a lot faster that most others. If anything, take a couple of songs and really listen to them. Listen to the different rhythms and practice patterns, shines, and footwork to those various rhythms. Over time you will learn to connect with the music better and you will get to the point that the music begins to speak to you. Once you get there, let the music guide you and how you dance. One thing I hate seeing on the dance floor is for dancers to dance every song the same style. There slow songs, fast songs, songs that have a more funky, grunge feel, and sings that a more classy, elegant feel. That and the vibe with my partner ultimately is what guides me on my approach to how I dance a song. Something else to keep in mind, certain mambo/salsa songs change timing during the course of the song. You start on 1 and when the song changes you end up starting on 5 or whatever other count.
what you said are so on point. After all, a dancer's job is interpreting the music they dance to. That's why they need to adjust their dancing, tempos, patterns to match with the songs. All the timing, patterns, techniques are just for that purpose. A dancer who dances the same style every song is not a true dancer and do not know how to appreciate the music. And it does take time to get to that level. Nery Garcia is a really good example of a true dancer by definition.
Tu estilo esta bien amigo Nery, pero no des tantas vueltas a lo idiota, recuerda que es un baile, no una tabla gimnástica, siente, la música no des vueltas como trompo
