Had a friend send your video link to me. 1st off i grew up swimming and fishing lumber river. That out flow at 05:00 is the out flow from Campbell's Soup plant. Its the water used in the cooking process.
Thanks for the view and especially for the comment. I did not know about the Campbells Soup Plant. Likely this discharge water was cleaner than the river water - for filtering. Recall the area of the paddle. Definitely a gorgeous part of the paddle.
Yes the river is full of twist and turns. Looks like you went by a shooting range close to the Laurinburg airport, certainly had shoot range setup and berms for ammo storage. Can't tell who it belongs too. Nice out it seems.
1st - Thanks for the view and comment. Yelp, I do track for water level and flow for every paddle (USGS Real-Time Data for NC Streamflow). Details were: - Location of gauges: 2133624 - Maxton - Gage Height = 9.70 ft - Gage Discharge (flow) = 570.0 ft^3/s
I was thinking about your comment. I will (later today) add the water level and USGS Gauges for the other days of the 2022 Lumber River paddle. I will add the details in the Comments for each video. Apologize if you already know of this source - but the go to resource for minimum water levels is Paul Ferguson's Paddling Eastern North Carolina. Super nice man and well written book.

My outing for today; you paddle. I enjoy from my lounger 😊
@@RobertaEdwards1 I go back and enjoy paddles (usually from my desk) as well.

Yes was next to Laurinburg Airport. I had drone footage that showed the airport but this got cut.
Good video! Nice to see!
Thanks for view and comment.
Days 3, 4, & 5 of 5 day trip will be posted each of coming Fridays.
That’s a pretty cool stove.
Jetboil. Built with heat absorbing vanes that transfer heat wuickly to heat water very quickly - so limited fuel use.
What was the water level?

@@MrCherrygrovedudeComments made to each day's "Details" to provide water gauge details for the day's paddle.
@@EdwardsOutdoorAdventures I'll look that up for sure. Looking forward to more videos!
