I just watched your video about not playing video games before this, I really like your content and agree with you. it's quite crazy, for the last few years I have not really enjoyed playing games, not because the games themselves are not enjoyable, I think it's because deep down I feel like I can be doing something better with my time, however growing up I played so many games it's almost like it became part of my identity and even though I don't want to play them I still try and force myself to just because I feel like it's who I am, I've even bought many games that I have never even installed. When friends say, have you played xyz game yet, it sometimes feels like I'm missing out, but I'm slowly getting over that feeling because I know I'm starting to use my time better.
I hear you. I wish I had come to this conclusion much earlier in life! Amazing how gaming became built into how I imagine ordinary life from a very young age and never automatically went away when I grew up. It took a long time for me to start to realize the other alternatives I have for how to use my time.
I appreciate your perspective. I've been gaming for as long as I can remember. I'm 22. Born into a broken family, never really fit in, never was a lady's man (did pretty decent though.) I've lost quite a bit of family over the past decade, including my dad. I just feel like there is nothing anchoring me to this world. From my current perspective, nothing in the real world is better than the entertainment I indulge in. Even though it's starting to fulfill me less and less.
Took me many years to finally decide I wasn't getting enough from escapist entertainment. The way out to real life experiences seems to be down a long tunnel of boredom.
I stumbled upon your channel today and feel as though I can watch every single video you've made as I relate to your life more than any other mass-produced "Top 10 Ways to Improve your Life!" nonsense. Please keep up the great work

Thank you!
I wouldn't be surprised if you were in software development, good vid.
No but I certainly have spent enough time using software and imagining how it might be developed!
very succinct! This, like many of your videos, helped give me an expanded perspective! Thank you! :)
I like your videos. They add a lot to my perspective of life. I'm curious: what game are you talking about?
Thank you! That's great to hear. I don't remember what game I had in mind at that moment, but might have been a Stardew Valley rabbit hole.
