Nice playing and cool idea to stand beside the old gaming machines from a round the same time! Just bought this exact guitar in the same color just now!
Your runs are good but your bending is willy-nilly and out of key. Remember, every bend, you are bending to a note. That note needs to make sense. If it doesn't sound right as a slide, or just a clean run of notes, it wont work as bend.
If you get that down, with your tight runs, you'll be dangerous.🤙

Enjoyed your video. Could you please share how is the feel while playing the 24th fret I am referring to the rather odd shape of the neck being bolted to the guitar (area) is it inconvenient ? Would love to hear your take on it cause I am 48 hours away from ordering mine. REALLY appreciate any help.
I bought a yellow one and I immediately liked it .. it's the neck and the tremolo system that I liked.. it stayed in tune after so many dive bombing ..I've had other guitars with a Floyd Rose system before where sometimes they'd stay in tune but most of thf timr they'd go out of tune but this one is Perfection.. way to go Ibanez.. :)

don't be so fast to dismiss the cleans on this guitar and say its only for metal. it can slow blues like nobodies business. your amp and guitar might be picking up some electric noise from being close to the video games. looks like a cool little man cave you got going there. rock on

I just placed a 'next in line' order at Sweetwater for an RG550, they said the next shipment will arrive in about 2 weeks. The yellow seems a bit much for me, so I'm getting the Purple Neon, so beautiful as evident in your fine video. This new guitar will replace my 1986 Steinberger GM4T 'Trans Trem' where many years ago, a trem roller bridge bearing came a little loose, need to keep trans trem locked, and have not been able to use the whammy bar for so long, miss it so much. Am sending my Steinberger to Ed Roman Guitars for repair then consignment sale (worth about $4,000) will miss it so, but all my research says this is the perfect guitar to replace it with. Neck is only about 2mm wider than my GM4T. And will be able to use a whammy bar again! I really enjoyed your 'unboxing' video & playing, a fun look into my near future when mine arrives... :)
My brother would love to have your Steinberger, he has a Roland 707 which is kind of a similar shaped guitar (I have a REALLY old video of me playing it on the channel), though he is missing the MIDI controller. This RG is the best guitar ive ever played hands down, I just wish I had more time to play it (And a proper Amp). I really can't say enough good things about it, im sure you'll love it when you get yours. Ive been an Ibanez guy basically since I started, but this really is the pinnacle IMO.

I bought a used one off ebay, same model and it has a smell and the seller said he kept it a case, which he sent, for one year and i think the smell of this fucking case, the guitar infused with the stench, already thinking about selling it

BNGamesReviews I got it. Love it. I dug a 1992 RG550 outta the closet to compare. The genesis is an exact reproduction of the originals. So very nice.
Show us the heel joint! It better not be a steel block! That kinda old school ain't nostalgic, it just plain sucks balls! Whatever year they worked out to carve a contoured heel joint is the year...idk, that was a good year, I guess - you know what I'm saying!

I ordered this purple Ibanez RG 550 yesterday “NEW” off reverb; was only place I could find purple in stock out of New York. Everyone of the big box stores on backorder but $999 couldn’t pass up. Hey man, is there any fret buzz? I bought a cheaper version made in Indonesia RG350DXZ and it buzzes like crazy on the first 3 frets.
Absolutely none, you cant compare an indo RG to a proper one made in Japan. This thing is 100% perfect. You get what you pay for.

What is the approximate weight of this guitar?
Id say about 7 lbs, Its solid, not to heavy not too light.
What guitar amp did you use in this video?
This was a Fender M-80 from 1992. Terrible amp IMO. I used the Clean channel and ran a Boss Metal Core through it to get a better tone.
@@BNGamesYT Terrible. I agree. I had one I hated it. I now play thru a tube amp and I cant express in words how awesome high gian tubes amps are. I will never play thru a solid state amp agian.

I have a 1987 RG550 MIJ and it is the best playing sounding guitar i have ever played. Never goes out of tune. The Edge whammy is awesome.
