How nice it is to see Robert Young in the movie! What an outstanding, moral, and role model for the younger generation to strive to be like. Cough,

So great to see real footage of ERNIE NEVERS #39 since we never got to know him. If you look up MOTORCYCLE JUMPER Gene Sullivan you can see his son. His father that raised him was a famous sportswriter, seen in the movie THE ODD COUPLE. He always knew he wasn't his father. What's interesting in Prescott Sullivan and Ernie had many common friends, and golfed with Bing Crosby, John Wayne, Marily Monroe's husband Joe Di Maggio, among others. Gene was a Pro Boxer, but Rocky Marciano died in a plane crash right after Gene was going to be trained by him. He ended up taking off with Evel Knievel. He was a great football player also, but blew his knee out both times he tried out for the 49ers and Raiders, or you may know him too. THEY WOULD HAVE GIVEN HIM LOTS OF HELP in recovery had anyone known he was actually Ernie Nevers SON!!!

Thank you for sharing this film. It was entertaining. I like Robert Young. Andy Devine is his usual comical self. I know that Andy was a football player in college.

wait, this guy left school 40 years ago, got married, had a son and now he is the star college football player? sounds like somebody dropped the ball because the timeline doesn't match but with Leila Hyams, Mary Carlisle and Mary Doran in the movie - who cares.
