I like kid, he plays smart. Occasionally he over pursues on some tackle angles but if he keeps the play in front him he usually makes the open field tackle. He just needs to play center field and not let anyone beat him deep. I like that he’s getting better as the season progresses. Him and Epps are becoming a good backend pair! LFG RAIDERS!!!!!
Good point, even the film here is not about tackling, it is notes positioning so as to get the tackle, hopefully experience and coaching will correct this
I highly approved it when we drafted my Moerhig. I told myself that this guy might be a late bloomer who needed 3-4 years, and when McZiegler came around, I became worried for him. I'm glad he's starting to figure it out under PG.

Last year was soooo crazy as the average Raider fan is soooo dumb that they couldnt tell he was Strong Safety last year after Abram was cut! I played free in college so to me it was easy to see! He has a broken thumb but has 2 picks so far!!! I wait for Pola Mao to go strong! Thats the future!
The 2 tds to Kelce,that's the invisible KC pick play that NEVER gets called,we ran same play next series in redzone got called for picking,like always,funny how refs hv 20/20 vision when Raiders "committ" penalties,but other teams hv their lowest penalty totals all yr when play Raiders,great video though Carl,like always,keep it up
At the beginning of season RN, especially on YT, was calling for him to be traded. I swear RN can be emo. It’s obvious he tackles well, is rangy, and never gets beat deep. Prior to Moehrig, Erik Harris was burnt toast every week. TY for putting the spotlight on this young baller.
Moehrig has been solid since year 1, and now that the whole defense is improved, he's going to come into his own. It's hard to be the last line of defense with as many holes as the Raiders have had defensively since he's been here.
I hates his shoe string tackles in his rookie year but i have noticed he has improved these last 3 games. Id rather have a guy that improves than a guy that regresses
Truth be told, every defensive back gets beat and misses tackles occasionally. Moehrig looks to be more reliable in year three. Now, if we can only have our starters all in the game at once to see what we have. Damn injuries. Good to have decent depth for a change.

You don’t have a crystal ball 🔮 into the future but do you have a sense of what they can get? Seems like Zeigler screwed up again by giving him all that money and not using him…. After he didn’t give #8 his fifth year? Bad decisions a good GM just shouldn’t make….
From his first season Moehrig never impressed me as “the one”. I heard people saying he can be great, and you were one of them. I been hoping your right and I am wrong. I like the guy and seen potential to be ok- but not amazing at nfl level. Now He is breaking out more from all what you said. I hope you are right and he realizes mad potential.
Meant to say: When he is good - he is real good. Consistency is his problem. Batting in baseball - homerun king and strikeout king at same time is great. As a safety in football it’s horrible. Giving up touchdowns is the key that makes him go from good to not.

It aged just fine. Doing it all now means at the time. Didn't see that comin Sunday though! They can put Isaiah Polamao in if he's gonna keep doin that but that was only one game.
I've always liked Mehrig since draft day and had hopes of making it big. Hope he continues his success
