In 1974, truckers shut down the US and Canada border for 11 days until the Politicians agreed with the citizens on lowering food costs and other valuables and to make logistics a lot smoother.

The trucker protest in 1974 lasted 11 days in the United States and was solely about fuel prices and shortages. The government settlement that ended it was a 6% freight rate surcharge to make up for Diesel costs and increased availability of fuel.
Politicians didn’t agree with the truckers. These protests were often violent, with 10 deaths and hundreds of injuries. The politicians were simply cornered. There was no food cost lowered, nor did any logistics become smoother.
Facts matter, buddy!
Lowering food costs and other valuables is vastly different from people getting vaccit if they want to cross over.

@@tragene2250 parking is defined as stopping, turning off the engine, placing the vehicle in park, and leaving the vehicle. If the engine is going, you haven’t left the vehicle, you can say “we’re stopped not parked”

The media is trying to blame the rod being blocked on the protestors…but it’s literally the police. Saw it in every city from every live streamer at the protests. Because it's going to have an impact upon those who are caught in the middle at some point in time. What folks don't realize is that there are those out there who still need to get to work and jobs need to get done. For example, if you have a bunch of truckers who are blocking access for people to get to work or wherever, that's impounding upon their rights and freedoms to do so.

A court ordered them to disperse and stop blocking roadways and bridges. He didn't say they couldn't protest. But they have no right to stop commerce and cause people to be laid off from their jobs because they don't like having to take a vaccine.

Canadian authorities were going to just let the protests run their course but then some protesters started swearing each other in as deputies of some sort, giving themselves (illegally) the power of arrest and detention. That harkens back to a movement from a couple of decades ago. So ... that got their attention and now it has to be ended by whatever means.
They were also assaulting residents and defacing public property, but I guess that doesn’t matter?
