  • The plaintiff dated the defendant and claims he was aggressive, possessive, and controlling. When she tried to break up with him, he threatened her with a knife. Now she’s suing him for the cost of a car. The defendant admits that he made mistakes, but he insists he’s trying to turn his life around because he has a child with the plaintiff and wants to be in his life.

@@scottrogue946 that’s a really sad, and cynical way to view mental illness. I definitely think that all of his visits with his child should be supervised, and I don’t think she should even think about getting back into a relationship with him at this time, and probably not ever, however, to just write him off because he suffers from bipolar disorder, which is very treatable, is unfair. There but for the grace of God, all the chemicals in *your* brain are balanced. Psychological disorders can often be traced to physiological disorders, i.e., chemical imbalances, and that is no fault of his own. I just pray that he gets the treatment that he needs.

I’ve worked in populations with some of the same issues and you are absolutely right that it is a game. More often than not. It’s a lie from them and an attempt at manipulation. Wonderful comments about this particular episode. Number one , this woman is extremely traumatized and still in fear while on the other hand she’s hoping that her ex receives the help he needs to become the father and man he needs to be for himself. Secondly he still desires to be in a relationship with her in order to be the father he needs to be for his child when that probably will never work. In this particular case and in every situation in life therapy is definitely needed but the power of prayer trumps everything . Only God can protect this young lady, heal this young man and stop the negative generational traits from being transfers to the son. It’s time to lift this family up in prayer for real.

N A you are absolutely correct. My heart breaks for some of our blk boys. The way I've seen some "mothers" talk/treat their sons, almost like they're dog on the street, is heartbreaking. Fathers walking out on the family. No wonder why too many grow up damaged. Parents create these Frankensteins with their absence or destructive words, then when they become mentally unstable or destructive, we throw them away. I thank God for the many good parents out there, but these kids growing up in unstable, broken homes I worry about. Keep them in your prayers.

I loved how they spoke to each other at the end of the video. It was very genuine. I feel bad because you can tell that she definitely suffered but then I can also see mentally that he’s suffering as well. Hope he accepts the help the show offers him and that she gets therapy to get past the trauma she endured
