Driving this car for 6 years and mostly Highway ride. I can say it still runs as new even after driving 60k kms. 180mm ground clearance. Wider than wagon r, compact. Not a single issue so-far other than regular servicing. Only issue is headlight through. Try to upgrade to projector setup.

I own this since 2018 ... Engine is awesome but low end thora kam hai ... Ergonomics is good seats are nice and yes the car is practical. That said it has a very narrow body, tires jutt out like a frog. And the suspension is very very stiff... But the biggest issue of all is the steering. It offers no feedback, does not come back to the centre and at times I find myself correcting the steering when cornering hard
Steering problem is biggest 😥 My ignis sigma also has this issue. Don't know whether this problem is with all cars or only some units. Please clarify.

Swift engine has double jet intake system giving better power & mileage . Head roll and road stability wise swift is also better. Spares for swift are easily available almost every region.
Stability is at par with ignis, and ignis have better safety than safety it have 15 inch wheels unlike swift 14 inch adjustable headrest, dedicated boot unlocker, front power window only con is a previous series engine that doesn'y affect me it is at par with swift in riding and it delivers 23.5 kmpl on highway
Ground clearance is slightly better in ignis, swift has both 14 inch and 15 inch wheel depending on model. I have driven both cars in city and on hills, found swift 2023 model more stable than ignis specially at high speed or twisty hills, though both cars are low in safety standards. Swift is India's mini cooper. Karol bagh, Delhi is the hub for all car modifications. Here swift car is more customizable than Ignis. Looks may be subjective but sales of swift proves that it is most loved (favorite) car in maruti's line up.
The Swift has higher resale value compared to the Ignis. The Swift features a dual-jet engine, while the Ignis is powered by the older Maruti engine.
The older engine (k12B) is better for performance than the newer one as the new dual jet engine is tuned for better fuel efficiency
That is how sound one should be when it comes to car knowledge. Or in general any purchase that one does.

Bonnet weight doesn't accumulate to a car safety standards, you can't lift a scorpio classic bonnet with one hand still its a 2 star safety rating car
Only Mistake by Suzuki : Its OLD 1.2 L VVT Engine. Suzuki has updated all its models to DUALJET and DUALVVT.
Bhai ,old engine is very peppy. High torque to weight ratio. Quick overtake.. quick acceleration. Mileage 17-18
New engine, less powerful. All now are 3 cylinder dual jet. Mileage 1kmpl extra but less power.

Baleno and swift Mai latest c series engine hai jo power 89bhp and mileage bhi jyada deta hai old b series engine of ignis. Ignis Mai b series old engine de Rahe Hai jiski power 83 bhp hai or mileage bhi Kam hai or isiliye Iska price bhi Baleno or swift se Kam hai. Ignis ki rear seats very uncomfortable hai.

Stearing mounted genuine control lgane hai mujhe - but I doubt airbag m koi problem to nai aaygi .
What will do for mic issue - my ignis have pioneer head unit from maruti but this head unit have inbuilt mic - call pr bat krte time aawaj sahi se nai jati uska kiya solution hai I don't know usme external mic lgega yaa nai but mujhe jugad wala Kam nai krana hai

All good points and I agree...but mileage of 18/19 in city is not true. Am getting 14/15 in city and 18/19 in highway. Also as you are bachelor 1 star safety is acceptable - once you have a family, you think multiple times before taking your family on highway in this car.
That is why this is only office - home/shop-home car for me.

Upcoming Swift will be with 3 cylinder with hybrid technology.... There will be no 4 cylinder option on new swift.

I bought Ignis Zeta variant 2023 in the month of August 2023 with the on road price of 5.60L, (including monthly discount+ selling my old car for 2Lakhs+exchange bonus+corporate discount) from Gaya city(Bihar)
It's been almost 8 months, and I want to share a few plus and minus points
Disadvantage
1)The car is really small, especially for the rear passengers, 3 people can't sit properly
2)Back seat thigh support is absolutely less, rear passengers can't travel for long sitting
3) Headlight throw is not sufficient, I had to replace it with LED bulbs
Advantage
1)The fuel economy(kitna deti hai) is wonderful, without AC it gives 22 at the highways
2)Zeta variant is the most value for money variant, it covers all accessories
With the increase in traffic pressure in India, and the rate of petrol, I went for it
Amazingly briefed, ayush 100% agree with you only just the mileage it gives around 14-15 in city and 20 on highway
Sir me Bhai pehle ignis hi lene WALA tha , but daily commuting ke liye I personally prefer two wheelers especially in cities , so looks definitely comes into consideration especially talking about middle class people like me , so finally bought brezza lxi variant at 9.20 lacs on road with exchange of alto 2009 model😊

Dhansu car hai , easy on pocket, easy to manuver in traffic .
Drove this for 5 years , 60k .. sold as this seems to be compromsing on safety and highway travel increased. A petfect reliable car which is stable at 120 as well howerver i realised that it shall not be driven at max 80-90 ,
I use it for city drives only in gurgaon hardly shifts into 5th gear 🙂
