Little note but I noticed I made a little error at around 1:21 to 1:49 saying "pre season 9". That footage from that section is " post season 9". Sorry bout that
He his shurikens feel awesome, but his ultimate does feel a lot weaker.
I feel like blade is no longer a team kill with nano but more of a tool to get 1-2 kills easier, which is fine because his shurikens feel great to use

the worst thing in this season for genji is his blade rhythm , like i can't feel it anymore that easily. U are just swing it around like a stick.
Honestly it just feels like a character without an ult. Nano raw genji is arguably way better

It feels so much better to secure kills atm because of the projectile buff, so much easier to hit people and things
100% honestly seeing another genji at the other end is kinda scary when I play people that aren't genji since he will be hitting a ton way more
Only thing i think that changed was his speed and one shot, but the blade speed is sooooo good now so i think its a good buff
nah not being able to slash dash someone with nanobalde is ass. can’t change my mind
I think his blade is probably the weakest part of his kit now but u can use it to make sure u kill someone but not to engage if that makes sense. But side note I think his neutral is feels way better

God he's awful to face now he has that 250 hp and some combos that we used earlier to kill him(like dynamite and one scooped shot )now don't work on him the projectiles are bigger now and he can land more shots but you fucking can't cause guess what he deflects it back in your face and on top of that he's a dive hero and has high mobility and has the upper hand in almost all the duals so if you gonna argue that he has more more hp and the projectiles are bigger so you do consider that he can deflects it back he's more pain in the a** now tbh I think genji is the real winner of the patch

I mean he's always had deflect. I think there are much stronger abilities that that but ion know what to tell ya
I hate this season I main brig and you can kill neither ganji or tracer cause of the health
That makes me feel good. I believe low skill should not be high reward
i thought that was my hsr game running which wouldnt have made sense since it was closed so that confused me lol but i think i prefer old genji more tbh. he felt harder and more skill intensive but now he's kinda easier and less rewarding. i do wish there was a middle ground tho between this genji and pre s9 since it would probably fix him and i do notice way more no regs on blade now which sucks. idk he doesnt feel the like the same genji i enjoyed playing maybe im being elitist or something but im gonna miss old genji especially old blade since now i dont feel as incentivized to blade nor do i care about nano blade anymore. blade feels like its been given training wheels now in the sense you can make mistakes with it but since its faster its more forgiving whereas old blade you could easily tell the difference between a good player and a worse player however now it just feels like we're all swinging a wet noodle really fast and thats abnout it so far from what ive tried
I do think old blade rewarded more skilled players since there was a big gap of u missed a swing where now u can continuously swing. But I do agree that they made nano blade feel redundant but I would honestly like a genji with better neutral than a blade bot. (Hoyo osts are goated what can I say)
yea i came to a conclusion where objectively he's better but subjectively he feels worse (for the die hard genji's that is). its like old genji is like playing dark souls, extremely hard but when those moments pay off they feel incredible but on the down side of only a niche few will dedicate to the grind. whereas new genji is like elden ring, way more enjoyable for everyone else since it's been made more forgiving still hard but not as brutal but then it doesnt feel properly rewarding for the die hard dark souls fans who took time and effort mastering a craft. like just the other day i took over a lobby and didnt really care, me dominating felt hollow because i didnt feel like i earned it. hitting my shots felt easier, getting triple dinks didnt feel as cool, going for the assassination didnt feel as rewarding, and overall hitting crits was just eh, another day in the office now ig. especially since im a pc controller player so for me, it felt way less rewarding than before. i felt more pride one shotting widows pre s9 than solo carrying and me personally id rather feel like the mc who got shit on just to comeback and kick ass again (latest hsr song white night goes hard but i agree hsr great music)
