There's a lot to unpack in Ian's lore (details, interpretations, hints, references, etc), everything it's pretty much connected with everything. What I've heard the most about what happened in "No Blueberries" (taking into consideration the MV, song, Ian's comments and the other MV's) is that after "So Beautiful" (where CL takes the role of their lover as in a toxic relationship), Mito picks up the g*n and m*rders their lover (CL) to protect Ian, and in "No Blueberries", Mito is running away and Dabin (DPR-LIVE) helps him. This can be somehow confirmed later in "Nerves" and "Scaredy Cat", also in MIITO movie pt.1 in a "wanted" poster of Mito. The blueberries have also been associated with a pill (don't remember which one exactly) which is supposed to like "tone down" Mito (that's why he doesn't want blueberries). Ian also said that he associated blueberries with people he can't connect with, and also that he made the song when he was angry, lol. You can see Mito's documentary on their channel to know more. Also, the parts in b&w on the MV's symbolize that Mito is present. Hope to see more of your reactions to Ian! I think the pill you mention is Valium. My grandma was bipolar and got prescribed this but stopped taking it every now and then ( especially on manic highs cause of course in those episodes she felt perfectly fine and thought she was cured) . Ian mentioned how usually medication for bipolar make you numb and shut down creativity, so that would make sense that he doesn't want blueberries. 😅 Also I always feel like this is the symbolism of the blueberry monster covering his mouth at some point thus stopping him from expressing himself, but i might be wrong.😊
Thank you for your great reaction. As with a lot of DPR Ian’s work, the videos and songs are full of meaning and symbolism, and lots of layers. I think Mr. Insanity represents the more manic side of Ian, and Mito is like Ian’s protector and has to step in to restore balance. In this video the lights going off I think literally represents a switch of characters. He also switches worlds, and at the end the blueberries are back on the ice cream, as if he’d imagined everything, but you see he has wounds on his face!. I also think the blueberries probably represent meds. I’m loving the insights with your reactions and the comments left. ❤🙏
