Great thing you consider Mydays' live video recommendations. The one from official JYP channel is not totally a live audio so this is really the best!!!!! THE BEST MOMENT was truly the best moment!!!!!!!!!

Really, this is a masterpiece. You can’t stan DAY6 but you cannot love this song. Dowoon in this song is the king: I love the drums in I Need Somebody, it’s absolutely stunning. If I can, I suggest you watch a fancam, this song is even better if you listen from My Day pov (for example the Gravity Tour in Jakarta, day 2, My Day sing all the first verse end the chorus too. Amazing! Or the performance in Madrid or Milan, My Day love this song so much they learn the lyrics even if they don’t speak korean).
Heck I'll learn the lyrics if it means Day6 is playing in front of me!!
So most mydays already mentioned that the one on the JYP page isn't live audio but that one also still hits hard with their expressions. Wherever they got that live footage from must have been one heck of a concert. I mean I know it was from their Everyday6 Concert in October but it's so difficult to find fancams of that day. :( This song remains, to this day, my favorite Day6 song. I love how it's so layered and how it actually mirrors what loneliness feels like. The way it just creeps in insidiously to the way it evolves into a desperate cry? I broke down the first time I heard it and it was so fucking cathartic. Apparently Bang Chan cried during this concert listening to this too. I think he mentioned it in one of his vlives when Young K was a guest.

@@WatchwithSandee i was caught off guard as well. Jae and Wonpil sounded so vulnerable with just the piano in the beginning and then Young K would just scream like that and then Sungjin's part where he had to sustain the notes gets me all the time like. And then I super super love how the drumming becomes so deliberately "messy" towards the end. The way it seems so random but is still on rythm, my mind is blown. Jaes guitar riff towards the end went crazy as well, I really wanna watch a fancam where I could hear that clearly because it's so beautiful and haunting and really sounds desperate. Sorry for the rant Sandee. hahahahaha

I knew you would love this track! The instrumental is really one of the best they're ever done.
By the way the main producer of this song is mr. cho/Kevin Oppa, who is Song Heejin's (Out of the Blue with Dowoon) husband. He was also involved with Dowoon's solo. I noticed the songs he worked on with Day6 are some of the most musically layered and intricate in their discography. Good stuff!

This song will forever be one of my favourites songs of all time. It's the first song on my Day6 playlist just so I can always listen to it. I actually have to listen to it without thinking about the lyrics, otherwise I cry, just like I did once again reading this lyric video with you lol The whistling and the extended beginning of the chorus after the bridge are great choices and probably two of my favourites parts of this pretty much perfect song.
