This might be late info for some of you but I too struggled to get the chrome piece off at first. What I found to work for me is using gloves like the nitrile gloves or put clippers on a surface like work mat and then press on it and slide it up
was it a problem for the clipper did it work did your clipper break because I am doing it right now and if I turn it on the brown piece starts flying please let me know

Those springs at the front under the blade. One of them broke in my clipper but the other one is holding on strong. Can I still use the clipper or l have to change them first? The clipper still runs smooth

I had the same issue. You can buy small plastic levering tools really cheap on Amazon which are often used for games controllers or phones. Don't use anything metal and definitely no screwdrivers or you could really scuff your clippers. Hope this helps even though I'm 2 years late 🤘

The oil only needs to remain on the two surfaces of the blade where they rub together when the cutting blade moves, not on the outside of the blade where you can see it. Of course, it's easier to apply the oil to the teeth then let the clipper run so the oil works its way between the blades. After that, you can rub off the excess oil that remains on the blades so it doesn't get on your client's skin. If you put too much oil, it will end up inside the clipper on the motor, so only use a few drops each time.

Deep clean once a week. Oil daily and no I haven’t sharpened any blades
