The plaid corduroy fabric would look really nice as a pinafore (I think you call them in the UK--we call them jumpers in the US) under which you can wear a solid color sweater or shirt. Lots of fun colorful future makes in your plans!
Hello from the very cold, snowy, northwestern part of New York! I'm fairly new to your channel, so I'm just getting to know your style and what you like creating. Everything I've see is so pretty and unique. Especially the barrel leg trousers. I think they look great on you, but if I may suggest, a more fitted shirt would allow the pants to be the star of the show, so to speak and give a more flattering look. I love your Drew. Did you size down? Yours looks like it will be a perfect fit, whereas, many I've seen have looked very oversized (which I steer away from). Thanks for keeping me company in my sewing room today!
there's a styling suggestion that if you wear a loose fit on one, wear a tighter fit on the other, so loose pants = tight fitting top. i think they'd look great like that.
I really like the trousers on you, they’re just different from your usual style. I’d wear them with a more slim fitting top like a T-shirt or bodysuit top maybe. Also, gorgeous fabrics! The sew Hayley Jane fabric would make a beautiful fleur blouse or dress xx
Love the sweatshirt fabric with the dogs on and the crochet hat kit I don’t have a clue what to suggest for the other fabrics but they are mostly winter colours your balloon trouser’s probably feel strange because you are used to more fitted clothes
I was browsing images of barrel legged trousers and it's noticeable that the crotch is dropped much lower on my this pattern. Looking at them on you, it does look a bit like it you hoiked them up they would suddenly look brilliant. I know that's not really possible 😅 Gorgeous fabric choice, and they do look cool as they are. I would love to try some styled with a plain, fitted top and fluffy gilet
I recommend you h both learn foundation single crochet and foundation double crochet cast on. I’m not kidding, it changes your crochet life. There are videos on the internet. I learnt after buying Diris Chan‘s iconic book about 10 years ago. It seems really tricky at first, but once you get the hang of it, it’s fantastic. No more extra-tight first chains which are terrible getting the hook in. No more getting to the end of the first row and finding you have chain stitches left over- or worse, you are stitches short and need to frog and start again. I’d be interested in knowing how you get on if you give it a go.
Liz check out episode 159 of Power Sewing , adjustable waistbands. I think you might find this a really good solution. I think the Arthur pants look adorable on you. I can see where sizing down might put them more in your comfort zone. This waistband technique might work great for you with fly fronts.
Simple black vest or tight plain t-shirt for the barrel leg trousers….i have to say the shape is not my cup of tea (mainly because I don’t need my hips/legs to look bigger 😂) my daughter wears them, she’s 17 and wears with a tiny belly top to balance out the gigantic volume in the bottom half.
You’ve done a beautiful job of the Arthur pants. I love the fabric. The shape is just not for me. If you feel beautiful wearing them then I think you should go ahead and sport them with pride

Thanks for sharing Liz, the cord fabric will look amazing as a pair of trousers. 💙🧶🌈🍓
Hi Liz, think the shj fabric would look nice as a myositis dress. Great vlog. x
I could see a long duster jacket in the diamond fabric. Love your trousers and the lilac jackets is going to look amazing💙💙

When I saw the diamond patchwork fabric, I immediately thought "caftan."
