i just got this message. they are still active just running slow. Thanks for the message. We have been in business for 27 years and we are not going anywhere. Service is taking longer than it used to. The post office has been extremely slow after COVID started and now we have extreme winter storms. Let me know what sizes you sent in and I will check with our service tech. Have a good evening, Mike Drill Hog
I just bought a set from eBay and made a substantially lower offer and they accepted my offer, they just came in today. Very nice! Very sharp. I have seen this video before but had to come back to find out how to register the warranty. I totally missed the back side of the card that was included! Thanks James!
Nice man good to see a somewhat current video on drill hogs warranty just broke my first bit from the set and going to give the warranty a try hopefully all goes well .👍🏽
that type of 350 manifold is a real problem they usually crack somewhere around the flanges where they bolt to the cyl head. be sure to check it before you install it.
Thanks for the video and clearing up some questions/concerns I had about warranty and origin of Drill Hog. I was actually about to not buy them because of some of the things I read. I am now definitely going to give them a shot.
Do they charge a "Handling fee"? Had a drill with free lifetime batteries. They charged about $15 a battery, not even a year old. A year later it was like $30.
I've never had one of their battery powered drills, so I couldn't say. However, everything else was a 1 for 1 exchange. A lot has changed in the world since I made this video years ago. I would think that the Covid-19 plandemic has had a financial impact on the company just as everything else. Bottom line up front is they have always stood behind their products. Also, being their warranty department is in California the handling fee probably has something to do with that due to that states crazy "environmental jokes/laws"! Hope this helps. Have a great day and stay safe and cool.
Hi James, thank you very much for this video as it can be difficult to find any contact or follow up information for this company. Fortunately I did register the serial number of my bits as soon as I bought them, my 17/64 just broke and thanks to you I know where to send it. Do you happen to know if they cover bent bits? I drill a lot of stainless and occasionally, even with fluid and slow speed, a smaller size bit will snag and bend but not break...will Drill Hog cover that?
I re sharpen bits. I suggest you learn how to do this by hand or buy a drill doctor. I resharpen bits by hand myself, unless they are really small. These I snap in 2 and send back for replacement warranty. Hope this helps.
Has anyone used there warranty lately? I am thinking about a set but I heard a lot of rumors that this company buys China bits relabels them as being made in USA. I know you here a lot of rumors online. But the company address is a fake one plus you can only contact them by email. And there only sold on amazon and eBay. What’s your honest thoughts hate to throw money away.
K W I used there warranty process last month. There a spot on company. If I thought they were junk I'd not be using many of there products. I've purchased numerous items of there's and I've been 100% satisfied with them.
imgone Thank you for all your info appreciate it. I contacted drill hog and the model bit set I was going to buy from them were imported. They have very tricky wording on there eBay auctions makes it look like there American made. Maybe they all use to be and maybe they get a few from a different supplier. It’s good to know you guys haven’t had any problems with them far as warranty and the product itself. May check them out again next time I need a set there definitely priced good
drill hog received my bits about three weeks ago on feb 20th. i am the original owner and i did register them. i tried to contact them before i watched this video and sent them in and never got an answer. i have tried to contact them now and am hoping for a reply. does anyone how long it usually takes for them to send warranty bits to you? i have already had to go buy replacement bits to do a job i was in the middle of. i am starting to wonder if the warranty is just a hoax.
It's not a hoax. I've been working with them for years. If you were not the original buyer and didn't register the items they will not replace them. When sending in items you MUST Include the serial number of the item and a return address. I do know that due to Covid-19 everything has been slowed down. Being that the warranty place is in California and they have been screwed over by their Governor it has slowed them down greatly.
@@eagledustoff37shortserious65 i did i appreciate your help. i did include the serial number and address, phone number, email and nothing yet. i just emailed the gmail account today so patiently waiting for a response.
Just broke one of my bits. I registered my set like you said and it gave me the address to send it back to. But no instructions on if they need me to send any additional information with the bit. Do you send anything with the bit? Like a note with the serial number, or the email address you used to register the bits in the first place? Thanks for the video and review.
You need to include the serial number on the items sent to you that you registered. Send that with the broken item as well and they will take care of you. Thanks for asking.
Did you receive your new bits yet? So to recap... Register your bits with serial number Mail broken bits back to drill hog Include name and serial number with broken bits Is there anything else that can help this process?
I actually haven't sent it back yet. After watching your video I thought it was a good idea to collect my bits, and after I have a few broken bits then send them in all at once. Thanks for the direction though. Big help.
If you didn't include the serial number with the items they will not warranty it. All items are only warranty to THE ORIGINAL BUYER AND MUST HAVE THE SERIAL NUMBERS INCLUDED THAT ARE REGISTERED TO THE ORIGINAL OWNER! Many time I get the same questions. Typically about 2 weeks "pre Covid-19 bullshit " was the turn around time. Hope this helps.
Eagle Dustoff 37 Short Serious Shenanigans I did like 3 weeks ago and no answer. I wanted to get set up with a business account but can get ahold of them anywhere.
Hopefully this video still stands. Wife just broke a bit and I have to send it off. Appreciate the video and all the info.
No problem. Thanks for watching!

Glad to hear this. I've known Mike for years and he always comes through. Remember that they are made in Sunburst Montana.

I just purchased a second set of the 115 piece M7 for work. I love the M7 the best as well as the 3 flats for keyless drills.
Do they charge a "Handling fee"? Had a drill with free lifetime batteries. They charged about $15 a battery, not even a year old. A year later it was like $30.

I love em....they will shred a 12.9 bolt
Yup. They work great with Anchor lube in Stainless steel as well.
How about dull drill bits. Will they replace or sharpen them?
I re sharpen bits. I suggest you learn how to do this by hand or buy a drill doctor. I resharpen bits by hand myself, unless they are really small. These I snap in 2 and send back for replacement warranty. Hope this helps.
Which drill bits material is the best for the hardest metal?
I recommend the M7 drill bits that they offer.
Looking forward to the performance reviews. Are these split points or conventionals?
bcbloc02 both are conventional point bits. I'll be putting them through the paces in the coming weeks.
I have a 29 pc M7 set. The best!
Nick Riggi Ther are great. They really hold up well. Thanks for watching and commenting.

Is there a catalog for Drill Hog?
No. Go to Ebay and search Drill Hog. All of there items will show up.
Can you help me get in contact with them? I have a big purchase and a question on warranty.
Go to the warranty site www.hogwarranty.com for further details on how to properly get your items replaced.
I have questions that have not been covered by the video or on the site. I have sent a email with no replay.
How long does it take to get your bits back? I've sent two in about a month ago and heard nothing

I use there drill bits at work in the aviation industry and I have no trouble with there bits!
How do I get ahold of drill hog them selfs?
