Yo vic, you should really start streaming, it'll be really great to see how you think mid-fight and it'll allow you to interact with your viewers more easily
42 seconds ago 🎉 I feel like a 5 second cooldown when swapping food/pots would be a good balance. 5 seconds will affect the fight, but if all your spells are on cd it wont matter too much. More risk more reward situation, instead of the 10 seconds just killing the mechanic completely.
Yeah. One thing is the long duration - 5 sec would absolutely feel better. But another is that it also applies 10sec CD if you do it outside of combat. Before the "potion-swapping bug" came into the game, you could still swap freely outside of combat, it only applied the CD if you filled an empty slot already in combat...
Theres been so many times were I catch a high ip player after a fight with low health. Before they just use cabbage soup and recover but now ill be able to rat them easier. Thank you SBI (im a 4.1 curse staff on a donkey)
Fewer options to get away from rats now for sure. Although soup can still be pre-equipped but changing food back afterwards or equipping invis pot won't be possible. However, I hope I'm wrong on this but I strongly feel that this will have a much bigger impact on mid-tier players than it will on 8.3+ juicers.
@@darkjoe03 to a certain extent, yes because its let's them know players dont like it but you should try to make your arguments logical, well thought out, and well presented.
I think they need to just make a potion/food belt make it scalable to tier on How many potions/food fit in it, and what u can use in a fight, no cooldown no problem, make the default 2, like it is and say 3 tiers of a belt that each add one additional slot to the belt....1 2, and 3 additional slots, say tier 4, 6, and 8 forn crafting....
I absolutely agree! Such a cool idea to tie it into different tiers of belts/bags that can be crafted by players. But for time being, all we can do is adapt to the current reality..
Thank you for your knowledge, I would also like to tell you what I noticed, that before when we sorted our potions by 1 piece, now it is profitable to do this by 2 pieces in a cell and 1 piece, so the options for your subsequent actions increase, but here you yourself must understand how the battle will go further.
Equipping any food or potion into an empty slot OR swapping out what you've equipped will incur the same 10 second cooldown now. So it makes sense to just keep all potions together in one big stack. Or do you think I'm missing something here?
Relatable experience! I suppose one way to take advantage of the change is to more aggressively start fights, hoping that your enemies are swapping around their consumables.
I think I’m slowly getting to terms with this; though I still hope that the devs will reconsider this in some future patch & at least make it into a 5 second cooldown (the same as swapping skills on equipment) Oh well, improvise, adapt, overcome I guess. At least the meta changes and doesn’t become stale
I really hope they figure out some middle ground on this question for the future. The 'potion bug' opened the doors for more experimental builds and strategies which made the meta more interesting for me. But you're right - at least any sort of change shakes things up for a little while :)
Hi, first amazing video thanks for your new 101 on the pvp meta ect. watched listened to every bit of it, but I have a question as a returning player from several months, is Health potion the meta option for fight potion even over Giga and Resist most of the time?
Res pot is only really good for when you are playing in a duo or group with a healer OR you need to specifically counter a stun. Gigantify and Healing are both strong meta options for solo. Healing is generally better because you can use it at any time and it will give always give you value + it has lower cooldown so in some fights you'll be able to use it more than once. However, the gig pot is great if you use it at the perfect time to reduce your enemy's big burst.
Have you tried rendering your videos directly in wide screen format instead of 16:9 with black bars? On wide screen monitors, they currently have black bars in both directions, even in full screen, where they could fill the whole screen.
Yeah the reason you see bars on all 4 sides is that the one at the top and bottom are part of the video itself (I put text etc there also sometimes). I have been considering changing my game to a regular 2k resolution like my monitor which will make recording look much better but I'm so used to the current way that it's scary to make the change :/
I hope developer adding healing potion based on fixed hp, instead of %hp. Fixed hp useful for character with low to medium hp, while %hp useful for player with high hp
3:00 Godcall2 faught him on 7.4 few weeks ago, last time he had frost😂 I've been testing my max spec 1h brawl curse build with 6.3/7.3 in the mists with PvP potion, so far I managed to increase my silver/h just because they can't swap so easily anymore or I put them in combat with invis pot so they can't push me back. If bloodletter and double bladed comes back in the meta, we're going to see even more curses, prepare 😂 P.S Let them come with Invis, that's where I shine best 😆
Yeah it was him. I don't fully understand why that invis-swap strat is more fun than just going in lower tier and trying to get fights but to each their own :) And yeah, as much as I hate being ratted by one, the curses are necessary for the balance of our ecosystem!!! We need somebody out there to keep those 8.3 hypermobile gankers in check!
@VicZaneGaming I think he's limit testing in the new patch, I had a nice talk with him after he killed me, very craftful player. Next patch they are lowering Demon Boots cooldown to 30s, I'm sure more Curse players will spawn after I show them a good way to put them to use, 1 shot 1h curse is coming back, time to hunt my first 8.4 on Eu 😂
bro can you please give me a build for spear in stalker corrupted? i always win in hunter non-lethal but always lose in stalker. i tried with the mists build you showed (inferno shield, stalker hood, torch) along with puremist snapper. is it a skill issue of me or is that build not great for corrupted? im losing mostly against fire/wildfire or the crossbow builds with silence/sleep. there's so many of them in stalker cd.
1h spear is viable for corrupteds although it's not the strongest. I believe Daybreaker and trinity are more popular spears for that content. One thing to note is that taproot is very strong specifically in corrupted dungeons because HP advantage is more valuable. When I've seen very experienced corrupted players play spear there, they usually went with taproot. Stalker hood is fine but fiend cowl or helmet of valor can prepare you for more different matchups. For the specific enemies you mentioned: 1h fire is a very hard matchup for spear if the enemy is experienced. However, you can win if time your deflecting spin well and you have a gig pot to get over firewall. Wildfire is similarly frustrating and you need to focus on dodging their E somehow. In fact, one of the reasons that spear is not ideal for corrupteds is that it doesn't like fighting those high-damage-turret builds like fires. Sleepcasters is easy if you're on stalker hood because you can just swap it to Cleanse and remove the sleep or silence and then either win with deflect or use your E to interrupt their E.
That change makes fights overall less dynamic. 10 cd is enough to get you killed do you cannot really swap in fight, worst of all is that its harder to reset fight now by eating cabbage soup and swapping food
I agree completely. I have already missed out on many potentially good fights because either me or my opponent were not ready to fight right away and then the fight ended up not happening at all.
Inferna shield is bad fir merc jacket. Most people don't notice or know this but merc jacket has significantly less damage than other leather jackets. Assassin is much better for infernal because of this
True that if you just want inferno, one of the +30%damage jackets is going to be a better deal but it's still reasonable that you use mercenary and swap to inferno for some specific fights only.
@VicZaneGaming it's the reason double blades are back but it works for most builds as between waiting for CDs ect you'll normally get a second poison no doubt they will nerf poison timer soon
Bro what took u so long??? Ps- your videos helped me a lot. Before i was a complete noob in pvp but thanks to you and you alone i get few kills nowadays ❤❤❤❤❤❤ Thank you so much and plz make more PvP related content
Food is still part of PvP but switching to cabbage soup and then back to combat food is tricky now. Many builds will just go for Avalonian Beef Stew to have all bases kind of covered.
Im high lvl pvp mobile player from NA server, and i dont like this uptade, i prefere before. I really hate it, 10 seconds for potion and foods, 10 seconds !!!!
disagree again about mid tiers getting nerfed. Im saying this respectfully, but no one never need to bring invis potion to the mists ever. I only bring those as gatherer, if i want to fight i choose the potions that most benefit my build and thats it. I play mists for almost more than a year now, mostly like you t7-t9 and never brought a invis potion. I think is a mindset thing of paranoid streamers or people playing 8.3 afraid to lose their set. Coz when u play t8, most of the time you recover the value of your set with profit. Sometimes you get ratted by a 8.3 guy and you just accept the death. The juggling potion was never needed and i think that a lot of players, most than you imagine never needed that too. of course people that are complaining were used to swap, but theres a lot just fine with it. And the game goes on.
if you build has problems to catch= poison if u balanced between brawl and kite= healing if you hard brawl in 1 or 2 rotations = giga that solves most of the problems for me.
You misunderstood. Invis pot are for when someone forces a fight on you that you dont want to take. 8.1 getting dismounted by 8.4 of course you want to reset. Or when you finished a fight and want to reset but rats already dismounted. you would want to reset. Its not about the money you make or lose. Its about the way you died that leaves a bad taste on your mouth
Not on mine, speak for yourself. Chasing people for 20 minutes in mists because they can reset is psycho boring to me. I'll play Eve if I want to keep inventory windows and other windows up while I pvp. Easier fix is to allow people to equip more than 1 potion and food, on the same timer. There, better players can outplay mids, keeps it dynamic that people want for outplay, and you still have to commit to a build. Resetting is so, so, so stupid for a pvp game. It just is. Imagine saying you want to reset and choose another char vs a guy in street fighter because it does better vs your opponent char. You're smart to know it, but... that's dumb af. Albion just allows it so yes you're smart for doing it. Still dumb. You come with X I come with y let's fight. No hold on z does better vs your y so you equip z. Then I see your z and equip my a because a does better vs z. Then you see a and then equip b cause b is better than a. I see a equip c. You see c equip d. TF are we doing?

Most still use cabbage soup. Cuz they eat pvp food when they enter mist then equip the soup, just in case.
