I never understood why this is one of their less famous songs
their*; me too, it's one of their best songs
It should have a video clip to promote it
Same for me ! I just took a look at their channel, and their « singles » playlist… almost all their singles are their most commercials and less interesting songs… then, you have space dementia, butterflies and hurricanes, take a bow, and so on, that are pure masterpieces and almost haven’t been noticed. Just new born and few others had a little of the reputation it deserves.
@@machintruc9457 Take A Bow and Butterflies & Hurricanes are definitely two other very underrated muse songs along with Apocalypse Please, Micro Cuts and Unintented. I couldn’t agree more. Take A Bow especially for me, it’s my favourite Muse song.
I admit I never liked it that much, too, till I found this live version. Guess, it is because the chorus music is not played with keyboard here but piano. That's what the song needs. I love it!
His best piano rock piece, absolute banger
Take a Bow at the beginning 2 years earlier It came out :)
I love that their live performances always have hidden future tracks in them
@@theflanman420420 I was there :) goosebumps!
definately
Yes
Without a doubt their best Space Dementia performance.
It battle with Hullabaloo 2001 @ the Zenith de Paris
@@eliebruno7912 agree with both but I prefer the outro of nowadays because now Matt use the guitar and it sounds so much better
@@Ekyss8pinkpop version + reading 2011 outro would be perfection
They'd been played "Take a Bow" intro years before it was released 🔥
Yeah, it was Take a Bow... Took me a while but I knew it sounded familiar
Exactly what I was thinking. He did the same in Wembley 2'007 playing the intro of a song from 2023
@@arwen_2.0what song?
Its my favorite song of Muse
Same, with "Time is running out"
@@jeromeantoine4094Two very different songs, haha
Sabrina ❤
Matt’s voice is so unique it’s mesmerizing
Simplemente arte
Este muchacho me llena de orgullo
❤
I just need to see them live, I don’t care where or when, I just really want to.
Same
Seeing them live is life changing, trust me.
Their live concerts aren’t the same anymore. They don’t play this song live anymore, for example
@@poodook their gigs didn't lost quality, just the setlist is weak. I hope it changes next tour.
Do what you can to see them live… it is better than you can imagine.
if chopin is the greatest single musician ever.. these guys are the greatest band to ever accentuate and add to his style.. kind of like multiplying his essence by infinity..
I’d say this is more the essence of Rachmaninoff
This band can silence the haters. The dislikes were 7 three months ago and now are 6. 🤣
Haters's arguments are weak. But its all subjective in the end.
ill never forgive myself if i dont see them live before they stop touring
they are still so good live
@@jamesparkin7243They are amazing and the best band I’ve seen, having seen them 5 times now.
Still wish I’d been old enough to see them in the 2000s though.
I reckon generally their live peak was something like 2000-2008.
@@rodrigomoran5181I’ve been following since 2016 and know every single one 😂😂
Exactamente. Y este es un piano muy difícil. ¡Tocarlo mientras cantas es increíble!
he escuchando esta cancion 17837281728371837291 veces y nunca me aburre😍😍😍
Igual.
Translation “I have listen to this song “ “ times and never gets boring”
18 years later I’m listening this incredibile song…. She’s me bring ti another world…
Wow, what a performance! Not to be missed
fucking epic opening there
how do you play that and sing???? talent!!!!
5:46 Chris doing epic jump
JAJDJAJ
He wouldve been 26 years old here if anyone was wondering
I saw them live twice at that period and it was insane! They used to be soooo good!
used to?
@@marvinesquivel3445 it went down hill after the Resistance album, but the last album is not too bad
Camille Richard all their stuff has been phenomenal overall other than Drones imo
Zach 100% agree
Wish i could have seen this!! If they ever played this live again I think id die lmao.
Saw them live in 2008 and still cant get over of such an amazing interpretation. I believe this is by far the best version of Space Dementia due to the piano. Been watching this video since its publication
Masterpiece
I came here after watching the Midnight Poison ad due to my perfume obsession and I- I’m ascending. I can’t close my mouth. This is so gorgeous wow
Goosebumbs 🤜 'I was there'
Vidéo now founded... 💨 🙃
Space Dementia❤
Incredibly talented
*obliterates a piano*
Matt: Cheers :)
OH MY GOOOOOOOOD THIS IS AMAZING
Legend.
Obra de ARTE 😍🤩
wow
God like end of
That's take a bow chord from the intro?
Great quality thx for uploading i love this live version
Amazing!!!!
Take a Bow Intro 😜
Yes...2 Years before black holes 😛..Matt the genius 👍
This is insane! ♥🔥
I just saw Space Dementia live 2 weeks ago ♥️
Crazy ..
I like this, is kind of soft bc of the piano but then the voice and rest of instruments add some disruption to it
Yeesh. Dead crowd. I’d be going insane.
They are gonna be on Pinkpop this year, soooo exited. 2nd time for me.

FIRE!

Remember hearing this live in 2002.
Obra maestra 🐐
Holy shit they sounded amazing here
😍😍😍😍😍
This song is really made me insanely want to bang my head 🤣
Bellamy at piano best
Esta canción deverdad si te inspira demencia.
5:48 LMAO Chris jumping off the platform
He glided 😭 “she was a fairy”
come from Rachmaninoff
sounds a bit like his 2nd concerto
It really sounds like Take A Bow (the intro) but two years before his released
It was
woooooooooo ! de la bombe en pochon !!
quelle sorcellerie cette expression est ? X)
Vous me demandez a moi ??
Do I recognise same chords as the 70s song “airport”? Always sounds somewhat familiar. Love both songs btw
❤️👍
Matt wails on the keys and mic for almost 7 minutes and then says calmly, "cheese"
I thought he was saying cheers😊 that English accent will get you every time 😅
All I think about is Sami Callihan when I hear this song
Muse has never been the same since this time…
Nothing with there new stuff
What is the very beginning piano theme before the actual song starts?
ruclips.net/video/HBe9vkmD-Os/видео.html
The beginning part is a scratch from take a bow lmao
al principio pense que era take a bow

I Fucking love Radiohead and I Fucking love Muse ❤️
Is Matt really playing piano at 3:22?
Yes
Yes
He is doing it right. No tension, pressing them without force to sound more smooth
Yup, that specific chord progression has a smooth voice leading so his fingers don’t need to leap, that’s why it looks like his hands are stationary
@SUPERLUDIO He is definitely playing the piano. I play the piano also my man, both bokos of well tempered clavier and all of chopin etudes, don't wanna brag here but have been playing for 15 years and got into some national competitions also, and play in my uni baroque ensemble. So believe me when I say this: he is playing the arpeggio right there. it is an e minor ostinato that he is playing right there, I just played along right now on my keyboard, your hands would look exactly like that when you're playing an ostinato e minor chord on the piano. he goes e minor without the e, then e diminished, then b major, then d minor, d diminished, then a major etc etc regular marching harmony. left hand descends chromatically from e, the root is ommitted in the ostinato seciton in the right hand, but it is on the left hand. I think what you are hearing is that his left hand doesn't match the more ellaborate contrapuntal bass line that the bass guitars are playing. Well there is a reason for that, because IT IS THE BASS GUITARS PLAYING THAT NOT THE PIANO! Jeez man, what is it with people and trying to create a conspiracy theory. Like this is basic marching harmony, and it just fits in your hand, and because he has good technique now everybody claims he aint playing it... jesus...
And why would he not play anyway?! I saw this dude on youtube playing difficult pieces by chopin while he was jamming (no I2m not talking about cliche nocturnes op 9) like I saw him play the etude op 10 no 4 and shit like that. what he's playing here is childs play. Like even that fast part that everyone looses their minds over, super simple. That's the beauty of his compositional technique anyway: he makes intricate things while still making everything perfectly playable. We are not talking about ravel here everybody!
jak on tu rozebał to ja nawet nie
It was honestly better until he sang
Wow 😳 I am speechless. you must be the only person at the planet that doesn't love his voice
