Malta should have become an integral overseas territory of the UK, with equal rights of citizenship. We never had better, more loyal friends.

We had the chance to make Malta an equal part of the UK with seats for Malta in the UK parliament but it never happened. A real shame!

@@whatonearth9809we were pretty broke after Eden’s mishandling of the Suez, also I prefer Malta to be what it is now than become the isle of Benidorm. Because if it remained a British colony, say goodbye to Spain for the Brexit geezer package holiday (especially since brexit) and hello to british Malta or Benidorm 2.0. I’m British btw and visited Malta late this July until early August. Great place, it does have a lot of British influence but it needs to be independent, Malta doesn’t need the incompetence of Labour and the Tories.

Such a shame Malta wasn’t integrated into the United Kingdom when we had the chance! Seats in the UK parliament and British citizenship for all was the plan.
