The promised cassette tape story:
My dad has this Halloween cassette tape that he loves and blares every year on Halloween. One year he went to go test the tape a few days before trick or treat. The tape starts up, and the Barney The Dinosaur theme song starts playing!!! My dad was beyond livid and was screaming when his beloved Halloween soundtrack didn’t start playing, and thought my mom had hidden the tape to mess with him cuz she hated it. Turns out someone (not sure who) dug into my dads stash of cassette tapes at one point and decided to mix up all the tapes and cases. To this day, he still thinks we put the darn Barney cassette in the Halloween case just to spite him!!! He still gets pissed whenever anyone brings this up, twelve years later

I'm with you on ripping a case of Yak Paks. The people that are questioning the reasoning, are forgetting the comedic value, and entertainment of such a rip like that. Worth every pack! I still love the fact that you pulled a HAND WRITTEN redemption on a POST IT NOTE in the box you opened! That's hysterical! And who doesn't want an autographed 1987 Donruss, rated rookie of Bruce Fields? Dude, you HAVE to rip another one.

Same here, I got back into them again in 98-99during the home run race. Manly because I was a McGwire collector since 88. Got back in again in 2004-5. And again in 2018.
Ron Walden? Definitely a Mandela! I'm still a sucker for the "Bo Breaker." I'll hafta include cracking a Louisville Slugger in half with my knee onto my bucket list... I guess anyone can do it if they've struck out as many times as Jackson has. "Bo knows frustration".

I remember searching for the Score Mantle’s when they came out. The base cards - not signed - were 1 in 2000 packs!? Insane odds.
They are so hard to get yet are worth less than 5.00 each

I bought a box of this last year along with a ton of other sealed after being out of card collecting since as a kid stopping around 2000. Did not realize til recently there were Mantle autos in here, so I plan on opening this box with my Dad in a few weeks since Mick was his favorite player. So I'm opening 90 Fleer, building a set from scratch, sitting here listening to this video and seeing if one gets pulled. But wow what a random find, at 1:24:12 where the beginning of a channel is etched in time right there. Hearing Sal's channel at that time had 0 subscribers. His channel is/was what first got me back into cards last year. My collection is insanely expansive, and yes I too have one of those random Ryne Sandberg Drake's Cakes cards that 99.9% probably never have seen before. I might just have to start posting videos on here if we hit anything big (have lots of other boxes with chase cards stashed away)... and also to connect with other collectors so I can trade for some of these common scrubs I need to finish off a million sets.
I worked in a card shop back when these came out, a guy came in the shop, bought a few packs and hit the Mantle Autograph.
Hopefully he didn't sell it for $25. I've heard some horror stories about buying/selling Mantle in the 90s.
Always liked the black border cards in this set. Thought most of the subsets were too cartoonish. Nice video.

11 boxes of 91 Score Baseball, this would be torture, lol... This set is just bad, really-really terrible - I mean the only interesting card is the Chipper, lol.. Not only that but the 91 Score design is just hideous (as is Score in general).. I guess I do have good memories breaking packs from when I was a kid and these were "the new hot product" but yea, lol... I collected a lot of baseball when I was a kid, but since I got back into the hobby in 2016 I've focused primarily on hockey, so with that said I think the hockey equivalent would be anything from 1991-92 - especially Score, lol - just a total waste of time, not even any good rookies, lol.. And 91-92 Score hockey did have a chase card of its own just like 91 Score baseball which was the Bobby Orr auto, a card which I always wanted as a kid and now have in my PC. I did consider buying a case or two just so I could personally pull it myself but I decided to buy it instead of breaking boxes until I pulled one, also what does one do with 10,000 cards no one wants?... I mean you couldn't give these sets away.

I'm 57 years old and I probably collected for over 20 years of it, and I don't remember seeing that Bo breaker card.
I had 20 plus Barry Sanders insert cards, totaling 400. dollars or more. And the same of Patrice Bergeron auto and parts of sweaters patches.

Listen my Friend, I have to burst your bubble, however, I opened boxes of the Score baseball cards that you're bustin' but I can remember bustin'packs and coming out with the chipper Jones rc's and the "Bo Breaker cards, and they were abundant in my breaks. By the way,Mo Vaughn has a rc card in upper Deck and also in Fleer Ultra if I recall. I own so many card's, but whenever I'm looking for something else, I sometimes come across them. The difficult card to chase is the Bo Jackson card in where he is in wearing the football pads and posing with a bat. Do you agree?
what is best wax packs to open?
When I was a kid in 95 or 96, I went to Walmart in Winchester KY and got a pack of cards opened them and there was a Mickey Mantle rookie card with a signature on it. I can't remember if it was signed by hand on or just printed on. Anybody know how much it would be worth today?
It was likely a facsimile auto but there's really no way of knowing without knowing what set it came from. Even then, it will only provide a best guess unless you have the card in front of you.
Where to purchase online?
I did this once. Opened a case. Pack a day for a year or so. No luck of course

We bought a box of theys at a yard sale last year and hit a mantle auto it was amazing

Mussina rookie is in Series 1 but there is no auto chase.

The only other RC’s of any kind of note are Rondell White, Carl Everett, Jeromy Butnitz and if you really want to stretch it, Mike Bordick

It cost 10.00 dollars to have a card graded and why would you grade a card that is worth at the most 10.00 dollars.
Now do all of us a favor and burn all those cards maybe by the year 3020 if we destroy most of the junk wax they’ll be worth something.

I recently pulled the Joe DiMaggio autograph out of 1992 score I had two unopened boxes and hit it on the second one that cost me $5 for the box
I flip cards for a living - I would NEVER flip retail boxes - I want the kids to have their share.... Mp - I flip rare vintage cards - cards that more experienced collectors would have interest in - not this "ultra-modern" insanity - flipping slabbs or buying up blasters isn't how I do business ...... Not only that but you can get cases of whatever you want on eBay from Dave & Adams or numerous credible retail outlets ....... Oh right, they either destroyed their own credibility in the hobby or they're a bunch of tyrants just buying everything they can find off the shelves - they're like "hobby mercenaries" - if that makes any sense, lol ...... Look, if Upper Deck just started selling to DEALERS this wouldn't be an issue ............ Look, I'm disgusted with all of the card brands at this point because the way they do business is NOT COOL - I don't want to use political terms but they all act like a bunch of NAZI's.... And I really am sick of it .... This multi-sport pseudo-monopoly needs to be broken up - because that's what it is..... Then you go to In The Game and buy their FANTASTIC beautiful products and these new collectors want "they're 'professionals' " because they spent a few gran on slabs that will be worth $50 bucks in 5 years.... ...
Look, I'm a true collector that has been in this hobby for 33 years now - and there are A LOT of elements that are pissing me off - especially these scammer thieves.... MAN... with their obviously FAKE slabs, and fake cards like no person that has been in the hobby for anything less than 6 months cant tell the difference between the card stock of a legitimate vintage Topps card and something printed on some weird card stock??? c'mon......... Look, I'm just PO'd in general because it seems those joining our community are just naive shady people looking to steal from people.......
