I love your idea of having ghosts that can actually harm you in this game. I think it would also be cool if there were missions where the haunting was actually a hoax and you have to figure out that the activity is not paranormal. You could even include scenarios where the family thinks there is a haunting and they instead have someone living in their home without their knowledge.
Or disproving the haunting, like imagine going into a poltergeist investigation and slowly uncovering that things only happens when a car drives by or finding that the house has rats. I think that would be cool, having missions where there is nothing paranormal gives the player some scepticism and variety. Plus it would be creepy as fuck to start exploring and find some weird old lady starring at you through the window.
This is definitely one of Insym's favourite new games right now. And his fright always genuine. I can't wait to see him play on new maps with new ghosts when they are available.☺ This is a seriously awesome game.👍
Binge watching Insym's playthroughs of CSPPI, the thing I really like hearing is Insym's repeated observations about what sets CSPPI's gameplay apart from stuff like Phasmo. He makes some very very good points, and I say that as someone who studies media, especially games, in our current cultural marketplace. Ghost Hunting, as a genre of content OUTSIDE of video games, is broadly a lighthearted brand of HORROR content. That is, it's supposed to still be scary. It's also a long-form kind of content, which means that often, even though individual artifacts (a tv show episode. a movie) might exist independently, they are often contributing to a larger and more immersive, overarching narrative which the viewer is participating in. Basically, Ghost Hunting content generally works because it lets viewers kinda get into the mystery and drama of the ghost hunt, complete with scares. Shows that tend to fail as Ghost Hunting shows, tend to either be too eager to go straight to nonstop scares, or demystify their own premise, at the cost of the drama. Video Games, you would think, have a really good solution to this. IRL it's hard to create a ghost hunting environment. (For the sake of argument, I'm gonna actually take the hard position to defend that Ghosts Exist IRL, but this is not really my actual position) Ghosts are hard to work with for a film production. They're often spiteful, willfully unproductive, malicious, malfeasant, and downright unreliable. You ever get a hold of a ghost on the phone on purpose? I didn't think so. Filming a Ghost Hunting show with real ghosts would be a logistical nightmare, much less getting into the technological exploits that would need to be maintained. AND THE REPAIRS. You tell me how the producer is gonna react the fourth time you ask for a new $60K camera because the last one just broke. You're gonna be using your personal phone video camera before too long, and that ghost is gonna come for it too. So with a video game, you can realistically manufacture a ghost in a very believable and parsimonious way, making for potentially, a much more immersive experience. Games like Phasmo seem to look directly at this possibility, and then take a strange turn into gamifying it. "Seek these evidences. Take these photos. Scour the house and find these items." When the real draw to these works is painfully obvious: GHOSTS. Ghosts are really interesting! CSPPI actually agrees, but also seems genuinely interested in ghost hunting beyond just the simple aesthetics of Ghost Hunting (dark houses, spooky noises, jumpscares and beeping and nightvision), but actually covering its thematic elements as well. Involving itself in the pacing that is necessary for a good ghost hunting show to work. CSPPI understands that you need tension to be scary, and while Phasmo is fun, it can only be scary for so long. The fact that the gameplay is largely randomized, meaning it draws from a set of possibilities, leaves it significantly less able to catch the player off guard and surprise them. Instead, they have to rely on updates, which are unreliable for scares unless people don't read the patch notes. CSPPI, meanwhile, with its handcrafted ghost hunts from start to finish, can be extremely weird and unexpected. It can take its time. It can start small and escalate. It can randomly haymaker you with something truly bone chilling. It can open a door in front of you. And it doesn't feel predictable because it isn't happening because an algorithm told it to, or because it has a 1/5 chance of doing X when you do Y. It feels INTELLIGENT, because it IS. Not because there's a real ghost in the game, but because the dev is using their intelligence to simulate a ghost. Put another way, Phasmo's dev created a game that simulates ghosts. CSPPI's dev simulated a ghost through the artistic medium of a game.
I remember when I played Phasmo in like 2020, I thought that it'd be cool if there'd be a really small chance that there's no ghost in the house, but just a person living in like a wall or roof, kinda like you can read on some horror stories, it'd make sense that it was reported as a ghost because the person calling the ghosthunting squad wouldnt know that there's someone else living there, so it'd be really freaking cool if some single player hunting game like this would have something like that
It's cool how CSPPI developed in 6 months, now Insym could find the buildings and ghosts lore since it first built until the most recent homeowner. This why i keep looking forward for this game development. I'll be back to the future.
I think what makes this game stand out from others is exactly the fact that you can't die. Instead of being chased, the most scary thing here is the atmosphere, which you can fully immersed yourself in instead of always thinking what's ur plan of escape WHEN the ghost attacks. More games need to realise that you don't have to kill the players in order to scare them
I think the audio recorder needs tweaking. It makes no sense that the investigator refuses to continually record, but instead begins recording only while something is audibly heard. He ends up going home with only half, or just the end, or completely missing whatever paranormal sounds would've been recorded. It'd make more sense if it had like a buffer so "recording" actually saves the last ~30 seconds, like Nvidia Shadowplay. I know you basically said this around 10 minutes in, but another issue with the current system is how long it takes to swap to the audio recorder. The sounds don't play long enough to reasonably begin recording, and again the actual character would only get a small portion of the actual sound recorded.
Just to clarify for you insym, a Poltergeist does NOT give an EVP, as well as the shadow Person. Only the demonic and the intelligent normal ghost can do an EVP. But what all of them can do is Paranormal noises. Love your vids and keep up the good work
Your idea, about scouting houses, I would to see that in this game too. Namely, that sometimes when doing a mission, you might find one where the creaking and noises are all natural and you debunk that there actually was a ghost. I think that's the one downside to this game. Since ghosts are unique in what they do, the missions in the start literally gives away EXACTLY which ghost it is, based on what the family experiences. I think it would be better if they didn't do that, or had the family lie, unknowingly about some of it. Such as hearing Phantom Noises, when they were really just a squeaky floor, or believing there is a Poltiguist because things are falling, but the people are actually just pretty messy and bump things off the counters and shelves unknowingly and think they are haunted and it's from ghosts, when it isn't. And then missions where they get some of the stuff right, but not others, mixing it up. Making you actually have to WORK to find the ghost.
That's the main problem with this game as far as I can see. They can't randomise the ghosts just like other ghost-hunting games can(to be fair, this game is more ghost investigation than ghost hunting) since they have a specific "story"/"type" per mission. They could probably add a sort of randomised mission that lets you investigate the house, etc. but I don't know how they would go around implementing that. To be fair, if they did do that, that would be the best for the longevity of the game, as well as putting more ghost types and not filling the ghost info automatically for added difficulty(although that could be a difficulty setting in itself).
I like the idea of scouting the house if there are ghost or not. Like perhaps you see droppings (rat poop) which explains the creepy sounds sounds Howling noise which actually came from wind blowing from the window Creepy shadows from a reflection of a simple toy Creaking noises from the piping of the house Or the most realistic one, Carbon Monoxide poisoning which causes the player to see hallucinations of the ghost to bait the player that the house is haunted. What's more fun is that you combine these with the real haunted house as a challenge, is it a haunted house or not?
I love these vids. The game seems overly simplistic and basic as hell, but that's the absolute charm of the game. Gotta love that lowering of your guard to make those ghostly moment intense af! I'm loving the story-esque aspect, too...looking forward to how this game updates, for sure :D
I wish there was an “extended investigation” in which you can go back to the house in the morning with a laptop and spend some time researching the house itself ‘Don’t Feed The Monkeys’ style. Going around the house discovering tiny hints and clues, ranging from solving an entire murder to the full identity of the ghost itself.
My wishlist for this game is: Exorcisms 'Fake' missions Demons can kill you Some ghosts can try to harm you but can't kill you Something connecting all these hauntings (actual story) Different types of demons Curses (like Conjuring 3) would be interesting and you'd have to destroy them If you fill every task you should have a diamond trophy Research history of houses Interview home owners Ghosts messing with the camera and flashlight
We played this game on stream the other day cause we watched you play it, and HOLY CRAP! Had us shaking in our boots! Can't wait to explore the other maps and other ghosts! Thanks for the recommendation!!
I love InSym’s enthusiasm. I bought this Game and have played it. I love it the atmosphere is phenomenal, the scares are phenomenal. My only complaint is it feels scripted and that I’m not playing a game but following something that is just a forgone conclusion. There also doesn’t seem to be any potential mortal peril. I get it that this is early access and things may change but they have nailed atmosphere probably even better than Phasmophobia
I personally like the ghost models in this game far more than Phasmo. While they do appear to have a lower poly count in this game, having them appear like real people or shadowy figures (aside from the demon) is really interesting and arguably more terrifying in its own right.
I love this game, it would be neat if they made a game mode where the ghost is completely randomized, or perhaps a type of ghost which always has a very large amount of things it can do, so it always feels like a new experience, but it can also fool you into thinking its another type of ghost because it might present those behaviors first
Cant wait for this game to have an upgraded graphics for the ghosts in the near future. Genuinely enjoyed watching this gameplay! Maybe would like to see this game open to multiplayer, would make the experience more chaotic
This game is so addictive! Only watching you playing it makes me want yet more and more content on it :D Hope developers will bring more exciting stuff into this game and make it even more amazing. Love your content and hope you feel better soon, take care!
I played yesterday, they just did a good update, among some things removing a bunch of unnecessary audio, AND l, my favourite, making the jump scare cheap orchestral sounds optional 😜 I think it makes it much more creepy. Oh and also some new ways the tools work, making it much more the player's decision when to, say, snap a photo
Enjoying this with some popcorn and soft drink. Nice time to relax 😌 Edit: Insym scared the shit out of me when I looked away to get a drink. I nearly spilled it lmao
My head-canon is the player character is so experienced in the field of ghost hunting that he just doesn't care anymore and is waiting to retire. That's why he is so nonchalant whenever something happens.
I agree honestly. I feel like he's been doing it consistently for like, 5-10 years, dealing with demons and poltergeists every other day. They're so boring to him now
I Honestly think that having multiple ghost types in one mission would be insane, imagine if there was a rare moment where it could happen. Imagine stuff gets thrown at you and the fire demon chases you at the same time 😂
I was hoping it was an intruder or a member of the family messing with the investigator. I hope there are missions where you disprove hauntings as people just messing with the home owners, but I honestly don't know how you would implement that into the game properly.
Id say a ghost that can kill you, but treat it like a sanity thing to a degree. Over time it begins to get more active, but the actions become more violent and you begin to learn its dangerous
Pre investigation would be amazing. Kind of reminds me of super natural the tv show. They do a pre investigation then once they have enough information they take out the ghost or whatever else it may be.
Anyone else gonna point out how creepy the photo in the booklet is regarding shadow people, seeing it peeking around the corner creeps me the fuck out. Its be so eerie if they did that in game
*Spoilers for following Conrad Videos INSYM: "It sounds like choking!" Me having watched all of INSYM's Conrad videos: "Good Lord..... You did NOT have to go that hard on the story"
It would be awesome if there was continuous debuffs that you had to remove or it could effect your next mission. Such as making spirits reluctants to do anything while you are there.
It would be real fun if they added missions that aren't always ghosts. Like a house you investigate turns out to have raccoons in the ceiling.
Insym mentioned that in the last episode or so, honestly that would make this even more realistic
Honestly would be awesome to have a sense of dread on what could be the issue with a home.
that'd be a nice april fools update if they're doing it lol
How about carbon monoxide?
@@horroromni oooh, that’s a really good idea
"LEMME OUT!"
"I'll keep that as audio evidence."
translation: you should totally clip that
This game is extremely immersive and scary, i love to see more Paranormal P.I. gameplay Insym!
if only he wouldn't visit haunted houses during NIGHTTIME...
I love your idea of having ghosts that can actually harm you in this game. I think it would also be cool if there were missions where the haunting was actually a hoax and you have to figure out that the activity is not paranormal. You know what would be interesting to see in this game? The player being temporarily possessed walking around by the demon.

"alright well is that a one off?"
Ghost: don't tell me what I can and can't do.
Insym: WOAH OKAY. RESPECT. RESPECT.
Love this content! I enjoy the scares, The build up is sooo awesome. Hope to see more!
Epic video, seems the longer you hang around the more and more evidence and activity you get.
Very entertaining. Thank you for playing, Insym!
i love how calm the character stays while insym is losing his shit XD
You seem to be the only person covering this game on YT. It’s awesome!
Thank you for the constant amount of content to binge watch
Cant wait for this game to have an upgraded graphics for the ghosts in the near future. Genuinely enjoyed watching this gameplay! Maybe would like to see this game open to multiplayer, would make the experience more chaotic
ima watch this i love this series so much
Thanks for the constant stream of entertainment Insym! Always nice to see a notification from you.
I just love this game
This game is so addictive! Only watching you playing it makes me want yet more and more content on it :D Hope developers will bring more exciting stuff into this game and make it even more amazing. Love your content and hope you feel better soon, take care!
I love how Insym is so scared and the vc is faqing chill😂
Hey Insym!!!! Loved the vids recently!! Keep it up!
That comment "It's Gordon Ramsay" xD the chat is always funny as hell.
I love watching these videos! The item being thrown round the 7 minute mark almost made me choke on my dinner XD
I’ve never clicked faster in my life than when Insym plays Paranormal P.I.
Agreed!
Same, I’m a bit tired of phasmo, to mush played and sees Insym played it 🤣
Enjoying this with some popcorn and soft drink. Nice time to relax 😌
Edit: Insym scared the shit out of me when I looked away to get a drink. I nearly spilled it lmao
This game is such a gem, loving your vids as always!
My head-canon is the player character is so experienced in the field of ghost hunting that he just doesn't care anymore and is waiting to retire. That's why he is so nonchalant whenever something happens.
If I remember right, he did say he did ghost hunting for fun before making it his job, so your idea has some merit to it.
I agree honestly. I feel like he's been doing it consistently for like, 5-10 years, dealing with demons and poltergeists every other day. They're so boring to him now
Been watching your videos on this game for a bit now. It's not a game I would play myself but I'll just enjoy watching you play. :)
Yess, I was waiting for more of this game, I love it!
good god dude that intro was like 100 times louder than normal. I think the rest of my house had a heart attack
I'd like to see a second phase to the missions where you get rid of the ghost, exercise the demon, find the residuals trigger object ect...
Wild idea, what would be a neat feature is if the player could record their own narration for the game. At least the EVP sessions.
I Honestly think that having multiple ghost types in one mission would be insane, imagine if there was a rare moment where it could happen. Imagine stuff gets thrown at you and the fire demon chases you at the same time 😂
I ain't gonna lie, having a ghost that just breaks shit, repairs them and put them back into place sounds like a lot of fun.
imagine the ghosts starts running towards you ... i would die x.x xDD
Do you know why I’m here?
In the background of the audio recording: “CAW CAW CAW”
I was listening to this in another tab and the "ROOOAARRR" at 24:24 got me lmao
One of the reasons this game is so scary because the entire round/mission, is just a build up to a scare
I freaking love this game and love to watch you play it
ghost: *throws alot of things to the guy*
the paranormpi guy: Oh wauw i'm gonna keep that as audio evidence
they need to update that stuff
I was hoping it was an intruder or a member of the family messing with the investigator.
I hope there are missions where you disprove hauntings as people just messing with the home owners, but I honestly don't know how you would implement that into the game properly.
Really good game in my opinion. Looking forward to see more episodes !
Id say a ghost that can kill you, but treat it like a sanity thing to a degree. Over time it begins to get more active, but the actions become more violent and you begin to learn its dangerous
choked on my food literally when you did the demonic scream into the mic
Pre investigation would be amazing. Kind of reminds me of super natural the tv show. They do a pre investigation then once they have enough information they take out the ghost or whatever else it may be.
Anyone else gonna point out how creepy the photo in the booklet is regarding shadow people, seeing it peeking around the corner creeps me the fuck out. Its be so eerie if they did that in game
I love this game ... i cant wait for more maps 😍
*Spoilers for following Conrad Videos
INSYM: "It sounds like choking!"
Me having watched all of INSYM's Conrad videos: "Good Lord..... You did NOT have to go that hard on the story"
Conrad doesn't have balls of steel, he's got balls of ice
I’m really enjoying this game! Could you spend more time in the house, and see if things get even crazier?
30:01 for some reason I felt a little bit of the Matrix vibe from that dude
Yay, can't wait for more updates. I think that game is perfect for you ngl.
It’d be Great if one of the poltergeists threw something and it broke a window in game
Ghost says: TALK...
Ghost hunter guy: ey not too bad that's so interesting, (sips coffee)
Insym: OOH OOH HOO HOO AHH
It would be awesome if there was continuous debuffs that you had to remove or it could effect your next mission. Such as making spirits reluctants to do anything while you are there.
Can’t stop watching these! Get better soon dude

Kids after the first mission with Poltergheist be like: ,, Mom, I didn't broke my phone, it was the Polter I swear, also can I have new iphone? 😂😆😁"

Magic box make noise.
Oogsym make noise.
Joe Pera, Paranormal PI. Been thinking that since I first heard the main character talk.
Insym. At the start of the game, instead of saying:
"Let's Go!"
Could you say...?
"Let's Ghost!!!"
If the developer can make importable custom audio/voice line and have Insym do one, I will buy the game and buy it for my friends. XD
