Socratic Method. Ask questions and it serves two purposes:
1. It allows the opponent to spend all of their "ammo."
2. It reveals what they actually know (or don't know) and therefore, if their argument makes no sense, they will reveal it OR if their argument does make sense, YOU will now understand.
"Seek First to Understand, Then to Be Understood" : )
