WHY I OFTEN DON'T MENTION OTHER BRANDS IN MY VIDEOS.
You may have noticed that I often don't mention the original brands that watches I am reviewing pay homage to. This is very intentional and not meant to offend you or the original brands. I lost my first channel in October 2020 which I had spent 9 months growing and invested a significant amount of money in simply because I had mentioned the original brands in some of my videos. There are people who try to use RUclipss lack of understanding when it comes to the difference between homage watches and fake watches to attack other channels and their owners and sadly I fell foul of this in 2020. This channel was also attacked recently and RUclips deleted content simply because I had said 'subby homage' and 'Rolex homage' in two videos despite the watches in the videos being perfectly legal homage watches. Please understand that I can not afford to risk my channel so I will no longer be mentioning other brands when reviewing homage watches.

I'm not bored at all by all the recent GMTs. Like I'm not bored of seeing thousands of dive watches. I just like seeing good looking watches regardless of what type it is - and this is one of them.

Not sick of dive, GMT or combination of both. It's the best of all worlds and looks good.
Nice watch and great review. It is a green dial beauty! I do think think they made a mistake on the GMT hand. It should be the prioritized hand and thus the red one - not the seconds hand.

So I pulled the trigger on the new Thorn Ti diver with SW200 and at the other end of the spectrum was a Casio Frogman. There were so many good deals over the last month that it became a bit overwhelming. This looks like another brilliant release by SM. Great job.

This is exactly the Longines hydroconquest GMT, Same color everything
Made a few changes though which is good, different case and bezel proportions, different hands, different crown guards, different clasp, different lume pips at 6 and 9…very similar though
Yes, except for the hands. Having tried out the Longines I must admit I was very tempted by it despite disliking how they beefed up the lugs giving it a more Rolex look of which I'm not a fan. A bit on the heavy side with a pretty chunky 41mm. Very striking live though and COSC certified...

I recently got the SN036 and the bezel action is so similar to this one. Probably the best I've experienced. San Martin does an impressive job with their fit and finish
That green/gold goes very well together......I have watches with all sorts of different dial colors but not one in green. Maybe this one needs to come into my collection.....

Gary, I was all set to push the button on an SN015-G but dam it your review of the SN0136-G set the cat amongst the pigeons. I've now had to order the SN0136-G I realise it's loose homage to the longines hydroconquest gmt but the changes have created a fantastic watch. I'm a long term subscriber and your's is undoubtedly one of the best watch channels. Many thanks.

TKMaxx in UK have some reduced Hamilton GMTs [still £640] with example cities/islands on the bezel which I quite like. I happened to view one at 10:12 which the watch was set at with London on the bezel at 12 and the bezel shows the correct hour against e.g. Dubai in relation to London so at least easy to use at a glance.

A diver gmt is my favorite style of watch. So much function without giving up the good looks.
Just proves what small companies can do for not a lot of money, makes you think why some charge so much.

This is the recent Longines gmt release but they made the indexes right! No round indexes on the 6 and 9! I like it

I love Dive and GMT watches.
For this price it needs the 9075 or a titanium case IMO.
Even discounted at $500 today, is a lot for a Seiko that has a minutes span accuracy a day, dressed in new clothes.
Same as the Pelagos replicas with NH94s, at least you get titanium.
Certainly not sick of GMTs, just after a traveller's 39mm in a titanium case and nobody does one.
Put the 9075 in the 39mm Pelagos titanium body and dial etc SM and then we are really interested.
Gary very nice and almost a winner for me but … agree capped second hand would have elevated it but also the hour and minute hands are a bit flat on such a rich dial for me and it would have been much better if they had been finished with the 3D effect with the brushing and polishing. But still impressive by SM - boy do they come out with a large number of models! V best G
Can't relare to the questionable use of round indexes on the new Longines, so: thank you San Martin, done well ;) Rich green & gold, the clasp is perfect imho, what's not to like about this one. The further they move away from the copies, the better they become. Great review, Thx!
I like the blue one, which has a light blue colored GMT hand. If it were a titanium case, I would really be interested.
If the logo is not nice, it’s a deal breaker. They should update that logo
Not sick of GMTs at all. Love that the fourth hand can be integrated into more watches. Bring it on, gmt field watches, gmt divers, gmt dress watches…..
Longines alternative/hommage. Submariner case, Longines colour dial & rehaut. nicely done though. imma get me one.
I see why GMTs have a 24hr hand but would prefer a second 12hr hand so both hour hands could be set to the same hour when I don't want to track a second timezone.. and yes I know I would still have to remember if the second timezone was AM or PM unless it had a moveable 24 hr bezel
I like the diver's bezel, it is more useful than the GMT bezel. The green and gold color is perfectly matched. It can probably be sold for under 250 in a sale, so it is definitely worth considering
Printed logo is a big improvement on the applied one...

This is nearly my perfect watch. GMT with a diver scale! and enamel black options. And they made it nice and thick, I enjoy a heavier watch. Its going to be very hard to not buy one. I wonder if this could be a dress diver.....

Need to swop the red from the second hand to the gmt hand.
Doesn’t have a dive time bezel but I’d take a Zelos Blacktip GMT over this every day. Also has 200m WR, and also has its own character while this is a ctrl+c/ctrl+v of a the new Longines HC gmt…
The new Hydroconquest itself is very generic compared to the previous generations so a copy of it gets a « meh » from me.
Lollipop the second hand and I’m in… two arrow type hands and visually it isn’t sitting right. Sooo close San Martin… so close.
The green and gold looks nice. When are you gonna review the V2 SN0085-G-B?

There is a touch of Helm to the bezel you say? I'd rather say there is a touch of Longines...I like this even more than the GS homage by the way.
I like the dial and hands, just not so keen on the Submariner case/bracelet, it would be nice to see this dial in one of their more original cases.

Maybe, but if I buy a GMT, it won't be with an NH34. I would want to use it for travelling so The 9075 really appeals.

Longines is getting the homage treatment and I'm all for it. Pagani and San Martin are both teasing the reddit subs with spirit zulu time homages.
I prefer the last gmt much more than this. Diver gmt's are very hard to do, formex and sinn do good examples but are obviously far more expensive.

Be careful, I got a NH34 gmt from the official San Martin store & when it randomly lost 5 minutes an hour after a restart they told me it was probably due to "electromagnetic interference" rather than a fault. It now runs erratic going from within tolerance to way out, but unless I can timegraph it (which I dont own & don't see why I should track one down) it's down to environmental issues rather than a warranty issue so no replacement has been offered. Nice watch, but utterly useless.
You can take them to a watch repairer to be tested? they can also demagnetise it...email me, ill see what I can do to help oldmantimegary@gmail.com

there is a gentleman who collaborated with an Italian brand that produces watches... who had the courage to tell me. that San Martin doesn't produce quality watches... at that moment I realized that he knows nothing about watches 😂😂😂

Almost every single vintage diver was originally 40mm or less. Big watches are the anomaly.

I will never understand a timing bezel on a GMT, drives me freaking bonkers. Who is tracking 2 time zones while diving? Who is timing dives while traveling? 24 Hour bezel and I'd have bought this in a second.
