Is like 5 min video on a speaker and you devoted like 15 secs towards the quality of the sound which is like the most important thing people want to hear about ....another 2 mins could of been devoted did you really like it? Would recommend it? Or do you feel there maybe better options? For the money...
I’m an idiot who bought it thinking it would work as a portable speaker... do you think it’s still worth keeping? I do have a portable Bose soundlink 3, and I guess I could use this one as a car plug in. Do you know of any giant battery packs you could plug this into on the go?
@@krusher181 I have absolutely no idea, but I must say it will work wonders in a car haha...I gues you can find out from guys that do car sound installation?
Dude, I want to buy a Marshall bluetooth speaker but I can't decide between the Kilburn and the Stanmore. I think the Stanmore is more suitable for me, but not having battery is game changer. Really can't decide. One thing I noticed is that the speaker you reviewed has an optical inout, but in the Marshall website the Stanmore doesn't have it. I think they changed the specification. Do you know anything about it?
+Harrison Lam Personally I haven't given in a full review but I believe it loses the RCA hookup, but otherwise very similar. Personally if I was in the market for one, I would get whichever I could get a better deal on. I doubt you could go wrong!
Nice video production and narration ! Hey, have you heard of the cheaper Kicker Amphitheater? How does that compare w/ this Stanmore in quality and volume? Thanks for your generous consideration, Steph
Classic Rock, Blues, Jazz & Bluegrass sound great. Metal, rap & techno, not so much. If you find it on sale, and want to just spend like 200, its a fun toy.
Hi Andrew, While going through various reviews of Marshall Stanmore on various websites, one comes to know that there is a problem with Bluetooth connectivity. My question is -1) Can we connect our cell phone to Stanmore through a wire directly if in case, the Bluetooth doesn’t work? 2) Can we connect DVD/TV to Stanmore directly through a wire, if I want to watch a movie on a TV and I desire to use Stanmore to act as additional speaker along with the TV? OR in simple words, if I want to watch a movie on a TV. Can this Stanmore be connected to the TV or DVD?3) What is the best model in Marshall, which gives crisp clear and loud sound? My purpose. I have two houses and I do not wish to install sound systems at these houses. Carrying a blue tooth speaker is a suitable option.Your advice please…… .
Hey there! So yes, this has a standard 3.5mm stereo jack. I can't know what audio output your phone, DVD player, or TV has, but you 100% can either use just a stereo cord, or RCA audio to 3.5mm stereo, dependent on what you have available.
some of the previous buyers of this units are having complaints posted on the apple website...can u please clear the issues they are trying to complain about...the complains regarding bluetooth and durability...
+julius caesar ocampo What were the problems with Bluetooth? Also, what was with durability? I mean this isn't meant to be a portable speaker but it seems very durable to me. In my use I haven't had issues with either of those. But that could just be my personal experience
I mean.. I really love the Marshall. Not going to lie. I know looks aren't as important, but the Marshall is such a conversation piece. It looks vintage and classic. That aside, it sounds great. Plus it supports aptX which sends really lossless audio.
I have both, for sound... No contest the Marshall's is deep, rich, Crystal crystal clear sound. the xtreme is good for outside use. the sound is not even close.
+aaron gill I havent tested it with metal but it does perform well with very fast paced music. Good separation between notes, but you are looking for a lot of bass you may be a little disappointed. It isn't that there isnt bass, I just know a lot of people like a ton of it, and this is more accurate amount of bass!
+oscargt23 I believe it pushes 80 watts. 40 to the center cone, and 20 to each tweeter. The iLoud is 40 watts of power. The Stanmore is twice as loud since the power is split between the center cone and the tweeters, it gives a better fuller sound.
Haha no problem. I'm actually currently filming 2 more Marshall bluetooth speakers. The Acton and the Stockwell. Maybe one day I can get the Washburn too. It isn't huge. You are looking at a difference of roughly 5 decibels. 94 for the kilburn, vs 99 for the Stanmore.
Fuck I just bought this thinking it was able to be charged and used without being plugged in. You gotta be kidding me... the guy at Best Buy straight up lied to me.

I took delivery of my Marshall Stanmore this morning...I could not be happier! Its unbelievable the sound quality it has, it really packs a punch!

Finally a reviewer who explains the buttons and features. Good job!
Why thank you fine sir or madam!
you sound like Chris from family guy
Sin sin sinner Thank goodness I don't look like him.!
Great review buy the way
Thanks man! Appreciate it!
he does! lol
I have one and LOVE it. Great warm sound even at the loudest level.
Can this speaker be hooked up to a portable crosley record player?
Should I pull the trigger at 20 dollars?
Beautiful speaker. Is this a good option to connect to a record player, as opposed to standard/paired bookshelf speakers?
+Farooq Ahmad yessir. Bookshelf speakers give you stereo, but this sounds great

Would you prefer the Stanmore II over the Acton II? I am having trouble deciding!
The STanmore II for sure. Go for it!
Have you looked at the Marshall Acton? If so, what are your thought in comparison to the Stanmore?

Andrew, I am torn between Woburn and Stanmore speaker. Pls help

Can i connect my Chromecast with the Bluetooth version Stanmore ?

Have you had a chance to hear the Marshall Woburn? Would love to hear your thoughts on how it compares to the stanmore.
+Matt G Unfortunately I have not! I'd be interested as well though!
Why some Stanmore have optical input and other Stanmore do not.
Someone will know why? please...
Alonso Chavez on the uk website the woburn has optical and stanmore doesn't

+Andrew OHara follow this link...www.apple.com/shop/reviews/HE057VC/A/marshall-stanmore-bluetooth-speaker
+Andrew OHara bought one a month ago...m so happy with the performance...just scared that i might suffer the same letdown they felt...
Hope not!
So what do you think? Marshals or Riva turbo X in sound quality and Loudness
Frandelin Sanchez Personally I would go with the Stanmore over the Riva Turbo X, though I don't think you can go wrong with either!
Andrew OHara Thanks!
Please could you do one of the marshall acton, i'm completely split between the two for which one is better for me
+Jo.hnson I'll see what I can do!
Thanks!
is it perfect for Turntables?
+Lazarus Mares Sounds great for them!
+Andrew OHara thanks,
Which would you suggest overall, the Marshall or the JBL Xtreme?
I mean.. I really love the Marshall. Not going to lie. I know looks aren't as important, but the Marshall is such a conversation piece. It looks vintage and classic. That aside, it sounds great. Plus it supports aptX which sends really lossless audio.

Dude, you forgot to turn of the metronome when you bounced your intro soundtrack haha
how are these with heavy metal music
+aaron gill I havent tested it with metal but it does perform well with very fast paced music. Good separation between notes, but you are looking for a lot of bass you may be a little disappointed. It isn't that there isnt bass, I just know a lot of people like a ton of it, and this is more accurate amount of bass!
+Andrew OHara thanks
That was an uncut sheet of sentinels at the beginning :D
Nice eye!
You should've had a little sound demo
how many watts? is it louder than the iLoud?
+oscargt23 I believe it pushes 80 watts. 40 to the center cone, and 20 to each tweeter. The iLoud is 40 watts of power. The Stanmore is twice as loud since the power is split between the center cone and the tweeters, it gives a better fuller sound.
+Andrew OHara you rock man! thanks so much! now I know which route to go
I'm Split between this or the Kilburn.. :(
Well depends if you want that built in battery. The Kilburn has the battery so you can take it on the go (if I am remember my speakers correctly!)
How does the sound compare?
The Stanmore is definitely a bit louder, but it is bigger and has all the power it wants.
So "a bit louder" like not really note worthy louder? as in the Kilburn would be almost as loud and Crystal clear with the same Bass? :) thank you btw
Hi can you use this watching movie?!
Depends? It has an audio in so if you have a way to either stream Bluetooth audio from the device, or an audio out then yes!
You Can't...., it's a speaker...
Fuck I just bought this thinking it was able to be charged and used without being plugged in. You gotta be kidding me... the guy at Best Buy straight up lied to me.
My tweeter is out already only one year old junk
Thats right only real music. Classic music should be played through this, not no modern rap bullshit
It has disappointing volume for the price! I was expecting much louder.
schon wieder so eine laberbacke
mach die scheiss kiste an und lass
ein paar lieder laufen
kann doch nicht so schwer sein
