Wonderful tips!! You should have heard me. I kept saying "Ohhh...Oh!!" I would have never thought about the painters tape that way. I am jealous of your pressing station!! I don't have room for something that size. I use a wood t v tray and a wool mat with a small iron next to me. It is big enough to do a block at a time. Which is all I need in my small space. But that's a great idea!! Storage AND pressing? Wonderful!! I hope you and Dave have a great day.
Thank you. I was using a tv tray and the wool mat. Then I started looking at my space. I had the lightbulb moment of using what was there. I am trying to downsize as I would like a comfortable chair to sit and do handwork. Lots of sewing before that will happen. 😁 I love hearing from you. I do hope both of you are doing well.
@thecreativewanderingduo My room is too small to do all of that!! I have three racks in there. Two have food storage. The other two cold all my craft supplies.... My sewing table is made out of two two drawer filing cabinets and a piece of finished plywood. I put outdoor upholstery cloth on it and stapled it. I put a piece of trim on my side where it would be in front of me. It came out pretty nice!! I have a closet in there we took out the racks. We put shelving from about two foot up off the floor to the ceiling. This holds all my quiting books and anything else quilting related in there. It was a bedroom now it's myspace. I also have a standup freezer in there for food storage. It works.... I can go in there at three in the morning if I want and sew. You will not hear me complain!! Lol Sorry if i'm hit or miss. There has been too much going on and i'm ready for some peace and quiet. I'll be glad for more snow!! It seems all that drama is gone then!! Lol I hope all is well with you too!! Stay warm
@twistedpixie69 It sounds like you have a space that works! I too have a small bedroom to create in and it works. We can create in small areas. Enjoy your time creating, it is therapeutic.
Great idea for measuring 1/4 " on the machine! I love this! I have a nice machine but the needle position is off. Love the idea of the short piece of tape over the bobbin because that is a struggle for me! You are a genius! Thank you so much!
