Carmelo Anthony is a former American basketball player who won two Olympic gold medals with the United States men's national team, in 2008 and 2012.
Anthony was a member of the "Redeem Team" in 2008, which was determined to win gold after the US team lost to Argentina in the semifinals of the 2004 Olympics. Anthony played a key role in the team's success, averaging 15.8 points per game in the tournament.In 2012, Anthony was part of the US team that successfully defended its Olympic title.
Anthony's two Olympic gold medals are part of his impressive resume, which also includes 10 NBA All-Star selections, six All-NBA Team selections, and an NBA scoring title.
