Honestly, I think it looks much better than the first game from what I've seen. More naturally, integrated environments and screen transitions, characters with actual differences, and the Enerbeam mini sections add a lot more to the game.

Now I'll make a comment. I like Tails's free revive. Seems to ring past times. When Tails gets killed in Sonic 2 or Sonic 3/& Knuckles, he just comes back like if nothing happened...
Why are they trying so hard to force The. boom style onto us? Simply keeping the Generations/Colors design and gameplay instead of bringing back a failed attempt *2 times now* (This and Fire and Ice) is doing anything but good for this semi dying franchise. *tbh, all sonic fans want is a simple sonic game. No gimmicks, no enerbeam, no knuckles/rouge treasure hunting, no gunshooting, no mechs, just a simple, fast paced, action contained, possibly story driven action game.* _why else were Colors and Generations so successful? They DIDNT TRY TO BRING IN ANYTHING NEW AND UNNECESSARY._ every attempt always failed. Or did decent. Just give us Daytime Unleashed Stages, Colors action stages, and Modern Sonic stages with a new story all mixed into one game, and the fanbase will be overjoyed. (As well as possibly some Shadow gameplay.)

I've made a decision: Every character animation in this game looks either derpy or awkward in some way, even if by only a small amount. Some have it much higher than others. Like the two female characters.
So far all Sonic Booms games were mediocre at best and that's mostly because they were made by a companies that didn't really knew how to properly handle a sonic game. I wonder, would Sonic Team be able to make a truly good Sonic Boom game?

No, I mean his *tails* are not spinning. In Sonic 2, when Tails is running at full speed, his twin tails start spinning. Even Sonic Boom: Rise of Lyric remembered this trait, but apparently Sonic Dash 2 can't have him do more than gently wag his tails.
I know it doesn't directly affect the gameplay, but that animation is a signature character trait of his, and he looks incomplete without it. A lot of the animations in this game are jarring, and it makes the game look unfinished. The first one has a charming amount of polish by comparison.
HedgehogKnight Honestly, after the Wii U monstrosity I'm not complaining. This game so far looks vastly superior. Besides, this is a soft launch. Things could change in the future.

The best Sonic Boom game out of all them is a mobile phone game
Good to not hear them constantly say "bounce pad", or "enerbeam".
The music that plays when selecting a new character is unbelievably unfitting.
The music during the level sounds like it would be a good invincibility theme.

its bugs me that collecting the bubbles in dash mode doesn't prolong the dash
Why Sonic doesn't have shadows? all the other characters have it

sebotrp They can, but recently they don't seem to want to do anything at all.
MarioSonic64 Well maybe they're currently working on the next Sonic game and they did made Runners, though mostly from the M&S staff.
