to think this is the church in her home town which is dedicated to the Catholic saint Peter Canisius who composed the second half of the Hail Mary prayer is amazing - especially when one considers that Peter Canisius was from the same hometown as Amira, or vice-versa. Special blessings on this singing...which I consider one of the greatest singing performances of all time.

The tears flow when I watch this while reading the subtitled words. Amira's is surely an angel with an angelic voice.
This is so impressive, so moving. You an see: Amira was almost complete in trance when she did this wonderful song. And all the other people? You can almost hear them thinking "What in the world is happening here and now and in this church????" They all will never, never forget this emotional and very intimate experience. I mean: when you can feel it that way, watching from distance on a screen it must have been much more stronger in the church back then. This was not an effort or so: no, this is no effort, this is the purest singing from the heart I have ever seen and heard.....

Amira´s voiice is outstanding, she´s amazing, here she is singing in spanish Ave Maria by William Gomez, and she also sings Ave Maria by Gounoud songing in latin, snd she sings in latin Ave Maria written by Franz Schubert, she sings in english, in dutch, in italian, in spanish and latin, this is simply outstanding.
She has the voice of an angel!

Nice job Ray with the video again. I have always loved this performance. Amira is something else. I see she also released video she decided to do, learned the song , made a video in 12 hours. Her voice is getting even stronger than ever.

I like to listen to Jackie Evancho sing opera also, but Amira has that something special Jackie lacks, making her the best young opera star out there. Same with Angelina Jordan young jazz, and oldies singer, with golden voice, Talent contest winner at age 8 just like Amira. Both will be worldwide superstars some day.

Ray, another very beautiful video of Amira. I remember watching the original video. I was amazed at how, at her age, she was able to sing that song so effortlessly and so beautifully and perfectly! And I was completely moved while watching this video. She has been blessed by God and it was not an accident that she decided to audition in opera at the 2013 Holland's Got Talent show. Keep these video stories of Amira coming Ray. They are fantastic. Thank you.

Amira has the voice of an angel and is lovely enough to be one. Does she hide her wings under her clothing. I pray that she never turn her back on her operatic training like so many girls before her. Her talent was gifted to her by the Lord God Almighty and should never be misused. People need to hear Amira singing these songs because music today has trampled down all that is good and clean. May God continue to bless you and everything you do.

Every time I direct a friend to watch this incredible performance I have to warn them about the mother and brother. I know that sounds mean, but they really were in danger of spoiling something timeless and truly spine tingling. I had no problem with the choir because I thought they were all trying not to cry!

thanks for cleaning up this performance...removing mom and brother and the stone faced choir behind her...certainly one of Amira's greatest efforts ever...exploded out of nowhere...just an incredible performance...you did a great job with the video and the sound...but Ray, now it is not an underground cult classic...with Frieda and Vincent doing an Abbott and Costello routine, and that choir...stonefaced during one of the greatest singing performances of all time by anyone...imho.
Mortimer; maybe I'm undermining the "underground cult classic", so I'm guilty as charged. But this time Amira, the story of the song and subtitles were the centerpiece. I wanted to avoid the distraction and fully be aimed at our beloved singer and the meaning of the song.

Jorge, I attended a couple of years ago a concert from the The Bach Choir & Orchestra of the Netherlands. Olga stole the show with pristine and warm harmonious singing. It was a delight to hear and see her. It's hard to compare adult singers with a 10-11 years old Amira. Maybe over 15 years we are able to a more honest comparison, although take into account it will be always a matter of taste.
