That's not really true, we can be deeply hurt by people who aren't not the love of our lives like our brains try to make them appear. You need to think about what you're truly sad over, is it the hopes, the dreams you had of that person, or the actual moments you had with that person. During breakups or heartbreak we tend to dwell in fantasies and futures that never even happened.

Giving yourself a 'mourning period' is a good idea. You don't need to worry you are a good role model everyone grieves differently and that's how you inspire people to be true to themselves 💜🖤
