The main reason I love this channel so much is because it tells you interesting battle strategies used by Pokemon you otherwise would NEVER think about. Hazards + Dragon Tail Phasing is such an underrated strategy, especially when you have the PERFECT abilities (Rough Skin & Mold Breaker) to punish attempts to thwart it. I may have to use Druddigon sometime, its battle strategy seems rather interesting!
My sister ran one through her playthrough of Pokemon Black, she used a Heatmor too, she had fun with them, I know playthroughs ain't the same as competitive, but she actually likes those generally kinda forgettable pokemon

Better than I thought it would be. A bit unfortunate it had no notable VGC placements even on Trick Room teams but considering the other dragons in gen 5 and beyond (Haxorus, Hydreigon, etc.) I guess it's not that surprising.
I think Dragon Rush would've been good enough. Gunk Shot, Iron Tail, and Dragon Rush all have imperfect accuracy but relatively high base damage. While you don't want to use Zoom Lens on a Pokemon with Sheer Force to benefit from Life Orb's lack of recoil, you could patch up accuracy with Hone Claws (which it DOES learn) in the 4th slot, or more likely, Earthquake and just deal with the Durant-like Hustle accuracy. Dragon/Poison/Steel all get walled by a high defense steel type, so you'd definitely always need EQ one way or another.
Add one more, I loved druddigon since I put my eyes on him, sad that he's so late and missed BW2, he would have been far more powerful in story mode there
All I want to know is why this thing is just pure dragon. Give it a rock type for fuck's sake, get it some extra stab, and unique niches. Its no wonder this guy got forgotten amongst dragons.

Would negate its Grass and Water resistances, and give it weaknesses to Fighting, Steel, and Ground (and 4x weakness to Ice). Imo not worth it just for a boost on Rock Slide (which it can get from Sheer Force) and resistances to Normal and Flying (though admittedly 4x resist to Fire). Though maybe if it got an evolution or a Mega with a new signature ability like Thick Fat (Stony Skin?) that gives it Normal/Flying resistance without having to be Rock type?

I love it for that, was for caves what Ursuring was for forests. Dragons were obscure and/or took work to bring to full potential....Drdddigen's chilling in caves like "Whatup? Here I am, best you're going to see."

Clair uses two or three Dragonair, depending on whether it's the original or the remake (even her rematch in HGSS has a Dragonair). Wallace and Juan both use a Sealeo (though that's still stronger than the Luvdisc they use). Drayden and Iris, we already mentioned. 4 out of the first 5 generations, the gym leader has not fully evolved pokemon. Honorable mention goes to Wulfric because while his team is fully evolved, he doesn't use a mega evolution.
@@bensell982 Yeah. Clair's team is maybe understandable because of her lack of options, but there are no excuses for Giovanni, Wallace and Juan. At least Wulfric isn't the only Kalos Gym Leader who got robbed of a Mega Evolution, though that is hardly a plus for him.

waiting for the counterparts to complete: - Carracosta - Seviper - other gen 5 monkeys - Gothitelle - incineroar - Tornadus - Aromatisse And I guess we could finish up Gen 2 with Sunflora, Magcargo (Slugma Male Grindset paying off when?) and Corsola. I think those are the only gen 2 Pokemon left to wrap it up.

Those who were there know that Drudd was incredible in Gen V RU. So many sets that were so effective at their jobs and could fit on so many teams. One of my fav mons of my fav tier of all time.
Teenage me thinking i was big brain, knowing this thing could naturally learn rock climb, could catch this thing early and use rock climb without the TM. Learned a valuable lesson that night.
Druddigon needs to get the Cross-Evolution Stage(s) in order to get the strongest Base Stats around 500 at least about 550 up to 555 and then most of all: a 2nd Elemental-Type portion combined with the next learnable moves such as: Dragon Dance and Steel Wing Druddigon also needs to get a 2nd Elemental-Type combined with the different Abilities to the point of finally getting the Regional Variants’ Forms in order to also get the surprising different Cross-Generation Evolution stage(s,) even if also truly means over and over again
Druddigon sure has been a steady offensive support mon & will likely stay so in its next showups. I find that while fossil pairs have been done in here, one fossil poke I've yet to have found a video on by FSG is Carracosta despite there being one for Archeops. Does anyone else here feel it's time for a video on Carracosta to fill this gap?
Ah Druddigon, the Pokemon Nergigante. I do like this chap, even if it's no compare to Haxorus or Hydregion. Would be neat if it got an evolution or stat buff down the line, perhaps leaning into its defensive profile.

Druddigon only has a base stat of 485, so the fact it was able to do so well in the competitive scene is pretty impressive. Giving him an evolution is obvious, but I don't think it's truly needed. Give him a recovery move so that he has more longevity. Other than that, he already has a good move pool and abilities, so it's difficult to say what else?
Druddigon was so weird to see for the first time but i really love its design now. Imagine how good it would have been if it was speed tied with Tyranitar

This comes at a great time as I was planning on using a Druddigon in a couple of playthroughs (another run of Pokemon White and Pokemon Blazed Glazed)
Iv never even considered mold breaker and stealth rocks countering magic bounce
I didn't know it was even possible.
Excadrill with m-breaker commonly used a sash lead with rocks in gen6 ubers to setup rocks on stall teams with M-sableye.
Tinkaton has a similar role in SV

The first time I saw a Druddigon was in some Pokemon Rom Hack and I thought it was a hacked pokemon.
