Is that because you feel the range is too restrictive?

I remember the nonsense of 18mths waiting list at the beginning. Now in 2024 you can get large discounts on new "immediately available" models.

There is even no rear windows that open properly. Only the long wheelbase has windows that open in the passenger seats. As a camper, it needs longer range.

      I agree entirely.

there are now rear windows that open in the Style SWB version
However there is no real range difference between the LWB and SWB. I've recently done 3500 miles in an ID, it is possible.
(there are some other things not quite correct here, e,g. a Type 2 charging cable is included, bot not a UK-plug to Type 2 cable)

@@POTThaesslich Hi, we should have better clarified that it was the Mode 2 Type 2/G (10A) cable that's not included. That's interesting to know that you think there is no real range difference between the 79kWh battery in the SWB version and the larger 86 kWh battery in the long-wheelbase (LWB) GTX model.

Would you want to sleep above a large lithium battery that often go into thermal runaway?

EV FireSafe, funded by Australia's Department of Defence, investigated the issue and found that there is a 0.0012 % chance of a passenger electric vehicle battery catching fire. In contrast, the chance of an internal combustion engine vehicle setting on fire is 0.1%.
Another study by the Swedish Civil Contingencies Agency, says electric vehicles are 20 times less likely to catch fire than petrol and diesel cars.
The point is the fire risk of EVs, based on available data, is far lower than compared with ICE vehicles. But no one has a problem sleeping in petrol or diesel campers!

The point we're trying to make is that it doesn't ride like an MPV.
