I'd figure by now harley would design an airflow system of some type to cool these engines. I just rode with some harley guys and they were frustrated because all of us were riding confortable and they were trying to rush and get airflow

New models have fluid cooling now and HD offers fans that will create air flow even at standstill

Not really. Finish of the parts won't affect temps much.
